Hi, my name is Jo. I am 64 years old and have lost 52#s thanks to diet and exercise.

I recently have been told I have IBS. Is there a forum or group that can help me with recipe ideas?

Hello and welcome to the community!! Congrats on your weight loss!!

We have a great recipe category that you may be interested in, or you can view any of the other categories that interest you.

There are some great threads created by our members, stickied to the top of each category that may be helpful too. Just look for "Most Helpful Posts - whatever the category name is”.

    Welcome, Joanna!

In addition to the helpful suggestions above, I've found some good recipes in the MFP blog, here:

    https://blog.myfitnesspal.com/category/meal-planning-recipes/

I don't know of anything specific there about IBS, but if you know your trigger foods, you may find some good stuff there.

In other parts of the MFP blogs, there are articles about gut health, including some that touch on IBS issues. There's a search function (magnifying glass) for the blog area that may help find some of that. I've seen articles about FODMAPs, pro- and pre-biotics, etc., that could be relevant.

I was diagnosed with IBS at one point in the past, but generally experience few/rare symptoms these days (post weight loss, with generally improved health, regular exercise, attention to good overall nutrition, etc.). YMMV on that, though, since IBS issues can vary between individuals.

    Best wishes!
