Warm morning matcha with protein options?

Hey all!! I’ve recently started drinking matcha in the morning For the health benefits. The issue is, I don’t love the taste at all. I can only drink it In some sort of latte, but don’t want to drink so much milk in the morning for no reason. So I’ve been mixing it with vanilla or chocolate protein shakes. That’s been great! The thing is, I’m craving my warm morning drink. I used to drink coffee, but not since I’ve started with the Matcha. Any recommendations for a protein powder that I can drink warm that will taste good with the Matcha?

    There's nothing magic about matcha. If you hate the taste, find other substitutes that taste good.
    It looks like you're putting a ton of work into fixing the bad taste.

    I use collagen powder protein almost every day to supplement my protein intake. It dissolves really well in hot drinks and doesn't have a strong taste that will overpower other flavors.

    Have you tried different brands or grades of Matcha? Ceremonial will be finer and more smooth.
    I drink mine plain because I like the earthy flavor..
    Ive had matcha brewed with some finely ground vanilla bean and cinnamon that was wonderful. No milks required.

    Re protein powder - there are a few matcha protein powders from Japan that are nice.. and also a matcha infused whey. You may like matcha chai better.

    I too love a good hot macha bevy in the AM. I use a bland of almond milk & coconut milk
    (total together about 8oz) then add some water for volume. Try something like this it’ll be a game changer for you. I agree with SafariGalNYC that ceremonial macha is much finer and blends smoothly for a no grit or clumpy finish.
