How do I make a post in my feed so my friends can see it?

This new look is confusing, especially since I just the premium plan...

To the best of my knowledge with the newfeed gone, you can't.1

It is possible to change your privacy settings, so that on your Food Diary only "MFP Friends" can view it. Though, they will not be able to like, share, or comment in any way. You will not know if they did or didn't look at your entry.
Communicating with your friends has mainly been removed from the typical MFP experience.2 -

It's not really a new look:
- they removed the newsfeed: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/26953529858317-Retiring-the-Newsfeed-feature-by-the-end-of-June-2024
- and 'replaced' it with this: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10915268/welcome-to-your-activity-feed#latest1 -
I honestly do not like not having the newsfeed. It's irritating not sharing or interacting with the friends I have. I do not have time for community groups/discussions.2

You can't anymore
Supposedly you were supposed to be able to go to the new "Activity Feed" to see and interact with your friends' updates, but their feeds aren't even visible and there is no way to comment on their diaries. So the friends list is now just a quick way to view others' diaries and send private messages.3 -

Update:
If you tap on your picture in the upper right of this page, then tap on your picture again on the next screen, it will bring you to your community profile's "activity feed". There you can add posts.
To see someone else's and leave a comment or feedback, you need to tap on their name from within this community forum area and then tap on "view profile". (You can't get there from your friend list.)
Hope that helps. It is a very very poor substitute for the old newsfeed.2
