How do I change my calorie goal as it won't let me edit it in GOALS

I have been off MFP for a while as it's been a tough couple years, I lost my hubby a little over 2y ago and I really let things slide badly, but things are starting to get better even if a little stressful as I have to move in the next few months and I recently became a Great Nan to a beautiful little girl, so I'm re-starting my journey, however I need to re-set my goals but it won't let me change the amount of calories so anyone know how I can do this please?

    Your calorie goal is:
    - either set automatically based on your goal settings (for example: if you think your goal is too low, you can choose a slower rate of loss)
    - either you override MFP's suggestion and enter your goal manually in your Nutrition goals: in the app, go to Goals in the More menu, and then scroll down to Nutrition Goals; on the website it's under Daily Nutrition Goals https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/my-goals

Welcome back and wishing you success!

thanks for the quick reply so I can't re-set the calorie goal itself it will change when I change the other nutrition settings, is that right?

I'm not sure I understand your question?
If you enter a manual calorie goal (and macro goals) via the Nutrition settings, it will override the goal you got via the guided setup based on your selected weight loss rate etc.
If you go through the guided setup, it will delete/reset any custom calorie/macro goals you had.

Right you can change your nutritional settings for things like Fibre, Carbs etc. but you can't change the amount of calories which is what I want to do, I know by changing other nutritionals it will automatically alter the amount of calories but I want to change this myself as it's not changing to what I want it to be.

You can change your calorie goal directly though, I certainly can for my account, both in the app as well as on the website.
