@Teresa502 That looks like a great place for an early morning run. Enjoy your time in Italy!
Great running @Laurz9191 . Next weekend sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I have yet to run an obstacle course, but it always look like everyone is having fun.
Haha @tarun_yadavA . Whatever the reason for the speed, you did great!3 -

While running the past few days was excellent it was shite again today. No idea why, but my chest muscles cramped up after the first 3km and I could not breathe anymore properly. Sigh. But I managed to run/walk some distance.8 -
@tarun_yadavA strange what motivates us but that is a strong finish to a long run! wow.👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥
I need to do about 5 miles a day the rest of the month to hit 1000 running miles for the year to date. Not sure that will happen but August has been a good month so far so I am happy even if I don't hit that milestone
I want to say today's run was cooler but really even if the temp was down a few notches from 80 I did not feel that brisk air. 🥶🥶🥶🥶
6 -
@yirara So sorry that you had a rough day. I hope tomorrow is better.
You are doing great @SummerSkier . Those temperatures have been horrific this month. I am rooting for you to make 1000 by the end of the month!3 -

Just a gentle 6K this morning to test the tooth. It is fine but my lower back, after three days of an activity, is not. Achy while I ran, and then I tried to do some yoga and Pilates and I have lost the ability to do an Achy while I ran, and then I tried to do some yoga and Pilates and I have lost the ability to do a sit up or even lower myself from sitting onto my back. Off to the osteopath this afternoon. I think my hips are super tight.10

I had a great run this morning. I won't say it was cool, but it was less hot. And there was plenty of nice shade and I hit a couple of sprinklers too. It was 78° when I got started and only 88° at the end. I felt so good that I ran 11 miles. There were a couple of dogs that ran out from their yard towards me, but they backed off when I hollered at them and didn't keep coming. I run that way at least 4 times a week and I have never seen them, so they probably weren't supposed to be out.
@Teresa502 Looks like a beautiful start to your trip.

Morning all.
Got in 7.49M at 10"19.
No procrastinating beforehand or anything, but real struggle out there today. Knew a mile in I wasn't gonna enjoy it, so changed route and ran into the city and back8 -
@tarun_yadavA Did changing up the route make the run better? Sometimes little changes in scenery keeps it interesting.
@SummerSkier I agree there is no brisk air but still feels way better!
I didn’t run yesterday but spent a couple of morning hours pulling weeds. Made some progress and my hamstrings are talking to me this morning. Mostly, I did my usual Sunday cooking. My dad was supposed to come out so I planned meals for 2. Then he cancelled at the last minute so I have a lot of extra. Luckily, A couple of the recipes will freeze well, so I cooked those and got them in the freezer so the chicken doesn’t go bad. Bonus, I don’t have to meal prep after my next camping trip!
Yesterday I saw a fox and a lot of deer. The deer were chuffing at me while I was pulling weeds as if I were somewhere I wasn’t supposed to be. We’re gone enough that they get used to being able to graze in our yard without interruption.7 -
@ContraryMaryMary I'm glad your tooth is better, but so sorry about your back. I hope you are feeling better today.
Nice running @kgirlhart .
Great job getting the run done when it was a struggle @tarun_yadavA . Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
@martaindale Great job with the weeding. So funny about the deer thinking they own your property. Sorry your dad couldn't make it. Glad the recipe's freeze well.2 -
Ugh @ContraryMaryMary it always seems to be something as we get older huh? Hang in there!
@Teresa502 awesome that you got out for a 7 mile run while in Italy. Enjoy your cruise!!!
@tarun_yadavA I feel you buddy. I hate that feeling, and I felt it this morning too. As I was stretching and warming up my stomach felt queasy. I pushed through it and figured it would go away as soon as I started running, but it didn't. Luckily I opted for the TM and did my 4.3 mile recovery run instead of going out in the 84F weather at 5am, but it was still a struggle. Hoping it will be better tomorrow for my speed work. But Garmin blessed me with a 'Productive' training status, so happy with that 😁

Hi everyone!
@tarun_yadavA Glad I (or your bladder) could be motivation for your run .
I was actually really kind of anxious about my long run today. I don’t do runs over 2 hours that often, and runs over 3 even less so. It’s more of a mental game than anything else. I tried to think of a route yesterday, but only decided on where to park the car and get my first few miles in. Then I winged it from there. For my mind it’s always easier when I pick a route I could potentially bail on instead of an out and back (not that I would bail, but it makes it easier knowing that I could end early), so I did that for the first 16km and then the rest I guess took care of itself. I did come up slightly short of my goal of 35km, but I had done so many loops at the end to add distance. My next really long run will be in 2 weeks and I will get that 35km! I ran 34.2km.
279.1/270km for August!

Amazing run @Laurz9191! You should be very proud of yourself.4

It was 69F outside this morning!!! Certainly not cool but a bit of a reprieve. The hills aren't getting easier yet. I am walking a lot of the uphills still.
I ran into my neighbor who I thought was out of town, so a nice surprise. We will probably get together for a run before I leave town again.
I can hear thunder rumbling outside so maybe we'll get a little rain this afternoon. I have more weeding to do once the sun gets a bit lower.6 -
Excellent long run @Laurz9191 .
Nice run @martaindale . Glad it was a little cooler. Hills are never easy...at least if they are, I haven't gotten there yet. Glad you had a nice chat with your neighbor.

I went to the gym this morning, ran some errands, and stopped at mom's on the way home.
I went out and FINISHED bush hogging the field I've been working on! So glad that is done until next year.
The field/hill after I got done today!
This butterfly landed on my hand while I was cooling/resting after I finished.
Afterwards, I did a mile walk on the driveway.8 -

Another less hot run. It was 77° this morning. I ran a 3 mile easy run. I saw a skunk towards the end, but other than that it was an uneventful but pleasant run.
That's a beautiful butterfly @quilteryoyo.

So based on that... Going for 185 miles.
On 184.98 now... So safe to say I've got this.
With four days to go, I should comfortably cross 200 miles again.
Got in 7.56M at 10"10. Bit stiff, but not demotivated. Guessing last three runs have all been 10 miles, 7 and a half, 7 and a half... Combined with my streak must be around 50 now. (Wasn't gonna count till September).
Anyways...
@Laurz9191 to pee or not too pee... Lol. You're inspirational, regardless of bladder sitch!
Well done on the 22M!
@Scott6255 no bursting bladder today! 🤣
@quilteryoyo well done on the Hog. Looks very neat and 'picnic-able'
@SummerSkier well done on your landmark7 -
Hi everyone,
I wanted to do a short recovery run this morning, in lieu of a day off, but after all the long runs, it was hard to stop . I like this feeling. I ran 7.3km.
@tarun_yadava, @quilteryoyo, @Scott6255 Thanks for the kind words! I am really starting to enjoy this training cycle.
It looks like @tarun_yadavA and I will both be breaking 200 miles this month! I have already exceeded my previous mileage record if 280km from February and am now at 286.4 km, which is 178miles. Just one more 22 miler to go ...8 -
2/08 4.08 miles
09/08 4.07 miles
12/08 4.05 miles
13/08 4.07 miles
14/08 5.37 miles (1.19 benchmark run in morning & 4.18 usual evening run)
15/08 3.55 miles

21/08 3.25 miles
22/08 5.36 miles
23/08 3.70 miles
42.01/50 miles
You guys have done some great running over the past few days.
I did the hill repeats on Friday morning but messed up pressing the lap button at the wrong time so garmin coach thinks I skipped one - I know I did them though. I read the instructions before but found it difficult to follow on my watch. We are still having very wet and windy weather so not sure how the rest of the week is going to work out. I missed an easy run on Saturday morning because I just couldn't face the rain.

Good morning! I ran 4.3 miles this morning before heading out to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Parthenon. No run yesterday but I walked 7.7 miles including climbing 320 steps up and 551 down from the dome of St. Peter’s Basillica, touring the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Colessium, and Roman Forum. The Colessium lit up this morning on my run
View from top of dome
Climbing up to the dome there were narrow steps and at times the walls leaned adding to the.challenge.8
