@enlightenme3 is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge on their behalf.

@enlightenme3 would normally say, "πŸ˜€ Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. πŸ˜€"

@enlightenme3 joined back in September of 2021, which was their first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, @enlightenme3 lost 40 pounds and uses this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.

Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.

You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπŸ˜€

Pick whatever unit suits you -- pounds, kilograms, stones, or even Newtons.

Feel free to copy & paste the chart:

September Start Weight:
September Goal Weight:
Ultimate Goal Weight:

September 1:
September 8:
September 15:
September 22:
September 29:
September 31:

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.

It’s not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!πŸ˜€

Best of luck to everyone - have fun! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Remember to bookmark⭐️ this group- makes it easier to find πŸ˜€

    Hello everyone,

Happy September 1st! This is the very first day of my brand-new "DO-OVER"! I plan to achieve my initial goal weight of 140 lbs. or less (within "normal" BMI range for my height of 5'3") by New Year's Day, 01/01/2025. I will post my scale app stats and progress every Sunday but will post my final September weigh-in on Monday, September 30th.

Below is the first scale app post:

I sure don't like that it thinks my "Metabolic Age" is 71! I just turned 66 on August 18th of this year! YIKES!

    09/01/24: 00.0 lost this week/00.0 TL lost

    Have a great week everyone!

My name is Donna. I am 64 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

    Start Weight (from Aug 29th, 2024 ): 190.0

Goal Weight: 186.0 (4 pound loss)

End of Challenge Final Weight: xxxxx

    Weight lost/gained this month: xxxxx

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

09/01- I got my grocery shopping done out of town and eliminated some of the β€œapproved” snacks that were just too tempting. Will there be more eliminated later? Maybe, but it’s a start. I hate how much harder it is to breathe and also maneuver steps into the house with the grocery bags when these extra pounds are on. Incentive! I will likely post a weight tomorrow. Good luck this month my friends. This will be a very challenging month for me with lots of travel including some overnights. I’ll be giving it all I’ve got!

    Count me in!

Challenges definitely keep me motivated to stick to my goals. I’ve got around 10lbs to lose to reach my goal, but finding it a little harder the closer I get.

I would be happy to lose 1lb a week if possible πŸ€žπŸ»β€¦ wishing everyone luck on our individual journeys.

    Thank you, @mtaratoot !
I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out.
