HELLO!

Today is my 1st day! I'm 57, a mom of 3 and a grandma of 13 and great grandma to a charming 3 yr old boy, other than him and his dad the rest are all girls. I'm currently finishing my degree in Psychology with a focus on substance abuse and recovery and a minor in family counseling. I'm 50 pounds overweight and I'm ready to shed this weight. Being that I'm realizing that I have an eating disorder which causes me to eat under duress. With all of your support, I know I can achieve this goal. This has been the monkey on my back for almost a decade. I can't wait to meet all of y'all and hear your stories. Blessings to you all!!!

    This is my first post, although I’ve been using MFP since March. I’ve lost 20 pounds, but would ideally like to lose 40 more. I just turned 66 (still can’t believe it as I feel much younger). I hit the gym 2-3 times a week for at least an hour and love to walk, especially in the beautiful fall weather we’re having. I have four sons, three dtr-in-laws and eight grandkids (six girls) who keep me running. I’ve been married to my husband for 34 years. Looking forward to success with all of you!
  • I’m 56 and post menopause is not fun. I gained more than 20 pounds quickly and haven’t been able to work it off. Need some accountability because I know I eat too many sweets. Logging everything is key for me. Wish me luck.
