That scale. Blessing and Curse.

It can be very discouraging when you suddenly jump up 3 Lbs and then .5 the next day. It doesn't really mater to my lizard brain that I dropped 21 LBS in 17 days. A lot of that was water weight due to a medication change. I'm sure the upswing was just my body adding some water weight/waste weight back and it will start to slip down slowly again.

That scale though makes you feel like a hero when it is dropping and depressed as heck when it goes up or stalls. LOL.

Totally agree, but remember, your body weight is only one metric of your fitness and weight-loss journey. We all focus on that number and seeing go down, but try to pay more attention to how you feel, your energy levels, how clothes fit you, and added muscle definition (if you're lifting weights). If you let yourself get discouraged by the number on the scale, maybe weigh yourself less frequently. I used to weigh myself every day, but like you, I would get upset to see the number go up, even 0.5lbs. I know it's nearly impossible to gain 0.5lbs of fat over night, but I would still feel frustrated. Now I weigh myself 1-2 times a week and I don't worry about it if the number has gone up, even a pound or 2. My nutrition is in check, I workout daily, I'm going down in shirt and pant sizes, so I know I'm losing fat. I hope that helps!
