Managed to hit my goal. Had to split todays run into two (5.01 and 1.62). So did 5 then dropped Dakota back home and got the last bit done. This has been my best month for a few years. I hit my bike target of 212 miles this month too. November and December wont be great as work takes over in November and apartment Christmas my husband and I are going to Tunisia for first week in December.
Some great photos, the food in Copenhagen looks to die for @tarun_yadavA
@WarmJellyfish - What a beautiful place to live!
@quilteryoyo - Brilliant on your weight and size loss!

Managed 28.5k for October. Perhaps my lowest mileage month since having my youngest nearly 11 years ago. I think I managed more when I had Covid!
Medical update in November chat. But I’ll just say, turning 50 has really sucked. Getting old is grim.
November will be better, but I’m expecting a hell of a lot more walking mixed in with the running.6 -
@ContraryMaryMary 😥 Yes, getting old is not fun!
Can't rember the last time I ran outside AFTER work!!! It FINALLY cooled down, just in time for Halloween 👻🎃🦇 Wanted to do a very slow easy run but the demons in my head thought otherwise.

Hi everyone! I’ve missed posting but have been trying to play catch up after 3 weeks away with minimal stress. I managed to finish the month with 196.6km/160. So, I have been getting quite a few runs in, even though I’ve also had many rest days.
It has honestly been really hard transitioning from the almost transformative island running to my usual running spots at home. That mixed with no current goals post marathon have been affecting my motivation. I hope to think of some meaningful goals soon and just keep at it until the pieces fall back into place .6 -
@Teresa502 That possum was a bit destructive. Great running this month. I would have been tempted to go back out for 0.8 miles if I were you.
Awesome mileage @AlphaHowls !
Thanks @Mari33a ! Congrats on your great mileage for the month.
@ContraryMaryMary You had a rough October. I think you did great to do what you did. Be proud you didn't just give up and sit on the couch.
You did great this month @Laurz9191 . I can see how being back to "normal" would be hard after 3 weeks on the island. I'm sure you'll set a meaningful goal soon and get that motivation back.
Great running everyone. Congrats to those who met their goals and good job to those who missed it, but got out and did what they could.

86.00/80 mile goal
I got out this morning and did my drill workout on the driveway before heading to the dentist. I was a little bit slower than normal, but not a lot. Nothing outstanding about the run.
After I got home, mom and I went out and did an hour's worth of weed eating for my neighbor (I weed eat and mom raked the grass after I was done.) Then, I cleaned out my gutters and swept/blew the leaves off the porches and driveway. I may or may not be able to move my arms in the morning.
This is the highest mileage I've had since January. Plus, I had a total of 21h25m30s of activity other than running or fast walking.

164.13/140 miles completed for October
It was cooler this morning and not so windy. It made for a really nice run. I ran 5.25 miles at an easy pace. So that puts me at 164 miles for October.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do about tomorrow's run. My plan has me running 8 miles tomorrow and 2 miles on Sunday. I don't really have time to run 8 miles on a weekday morning so I may just switch the two runs. I probably won't just run 2 miles tomorrow though.

the question is why do they put the o in front of the possum? LOL. We had one in the garage a long time ago also, but my ex thought it had died. It was playing possum. Anyway, you must have something in there it likes because we rarely get them coming in to the garages here altho we have them and skunks and fox and rats. See yall in Nov!7
-
@kgirlhart I think it is odd that your plan has long runs on a week day. I would trade those out too.
Hahaha @SummerSkier . There is no food. All I can figure is that it went in, maybe for water - I do leave Tippy's bowl out so she has water when she's outside, and then got trapped when I closed the door. I don't know why it didn't find it's way out when the door was open the next day, but... I'm just glad that I was able to get it out. So far, I have only had the possum and an occasional bird and mice. I fear a skunk or something bigger. BTW, I just looked it up and the opossum is the critter that lives in N. and S. America. Possums live in Australia. They are really two different animals, but people have dropped the o from the American version and they are now both usually just called a possum. Who knew? I didn't.6 -
We had a possum outside once that was playing possum. It did look dead. I poked it with a rake handle and it just tipped over and didn't move at all. So we went inside and watched out the window. He didn't move for a few seconds. The his ears twitched and then his eyes moved from side to side and then he jumped up and ran off. It was really interesting to see.7

Fun fact about possums, unlike opossums they don’t play possum. Possums, which are native to Australia, are a huge pest here in New Zealand (they have no predators, and eat vast volumes of native bush and birds’ eggs so are trapped and shot for their fur, which is gorgeous and soft and when mixed with wool makes lovely toasty socks). Get too close to a live one and it will likely attack you! That being said, they’re nocturnal and live in trees so you seldom see them, although they can make a real racket at night.6

@kgirlhart that is so cool to see...2
