@quilteryoyo you have a good memory..or it happens so frequently it is becoming routine. Either way, yes I did a 5 mile TM run today. Even wore a calf sleeve to support it. It felt ok

Great run @kgirlhart ! Amazing pace.

Nice run @tarun_yadavA . I still haven't unboxed my shoes.

I'm glad the TM run worked and your calf felt okay today @Scott6255 .

Way to get it done @martaindale ! Wheelbarrowing mulch is hard work! "Only 5 loads?" That's nothing to sneeze at.

Glad you enjoyed your cold run @Mari33a .

Hahaha @Teresa502 . It's amazing how that happens. Love the new shoes!

@quilteryoyo glad you didn't get hurt on your fall! Way to hang in there.

@Teresa502 always good to grab a pair or two of shoes when you find them on sale. But I thought you weren't a Brooks fan anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Glad you weren't seriously hurt @quilteryoyo! Good job finishing the run.

Nice shoes @Teresa502. You really couldn't not get them.

    Target 50 miles/80.45k

    2 Oct: 4.86mi/7.8k
    4 Oct: 4.22mi/6.79k
    7 Oct: 2.36mi/3.78k
    9 Oct: 3.13mi/5.03k
    12 Oct: 3.15mi/5.06k

    Total 17.72mi/28.51k

Yesterday was parkrun day! 8 degrees but bright and dry - running into the wind in places (especially the uphill bits… of which that was about half the course, grrr!), which was blowing in from the North Sea.

Garmin declared my 5k over before I got through the finish gate, so I hit ‘Continue’ as I didn’t want Garmin or Strava to have any reason to say I hadn’t completed the course - then I had to walk through the finish 'funnel' anyway. I got a slew of PB’s, but my finish time isn’t easy to establish
    Garmin 34:38 (3.15mi/5.06k)
    Strava 33:57 (5k)
    parkrun 34:23 (5k)

My goal when starting was to run 5k without walking, so I am very, VERY happy with any of these results!!
Photo of me after the finish gate in the spoiler, 163rd out of 218

    My PR’s:
    1k: 6:32
    1m: 10:35 (previous 10:37)
    2m: 21:41 (previous 21:42)
    5k: 33:57 (previous 34:39)
    Longest run/walk - 5.33mi/8.57k
    Longest run - 4.63mi/7.44k

    Congratulations @AmunahSki!!!

Fantastic job!! Great photo! You look very happy with your accomplishment.

A friend and I ran 10 miles this morning. She had a bicycle wreck yesterday and looked pretty rough but even with a splint on her hand that has a hairline fracture, she still came and outran me! It was a nice, crisp morning. The sun was shining and it was 45F at the beginning.

@quilteryoyo - Sorry about the fall but glad you weren’t seriously injured. I bet Tippy loved the trail running!

Congratulations @AmunahSki! Well done on your 5k!

    Well done @AmunahSki!! Congrats!

@quilteryoyo I'm so glad you weren't injured from your fall! Those hidden tree stumps are vicious.

Congratulations on such a great 5K @AmunahSki . You did great regardless of which timing you believe.
    You don't even look tired!

    Thanks @scott6255, @kgirlhart , @tarun_yadavA , @Teresa502 , @martaindale , @Mari33a .

Great long run @Teresa502 ! I'm glad your friend wasn't hurt worse and amazed that she ran with a freshly fractured arm. Tippy loves running in the field, but she usually gives up and I see her when I get done. She is more of a sprinter than a long distance runner.

Sounds like a fantastic run @kgirlhart ! You know it's great when Hal says it's good.

@steviebee888 Sorry your work was so stressful last week. I do hope this week is better for you. Nine miles is a long run after a break.

    Great streaking @tarun_yadavA .

Dang @tarun_yadavA what a streak you have going. Very impressive!

Trying to do everything I can to get to the start line on Saturday. Calf stopped feeling tight last night, so just wanted to be safe and did a 6 mile run on the TM. Started tightening up on the last 2 miles. Worst case I will do a slow run with my niece on race day.

@daria0919 I'm so sorry to hear about your PTTD. I looked that up. Didn't know a lot about the course of it. I hope you're able to avoid surgery and sorry to hear you won't be able to run anymore.

    Great 5k @kgirlhart . That is speedy.

Great running @tarun_yadavA ! One more. And I know you made @SummerSkier happy today. 😉

I hope your calf is ok for your race @Scott6255 .

Oh no @daria0919 ! I'm so so sorry to hear this. Hang in there and I hope you can avoid surgery. Big hugs to you.

It sounds like you did okay the last couple of runs. I hope the doctor can find something that is easy to fix so you can get back to your old level of fitness. Hugs to you.
