Nice to be here! AGAIN lol! Here's my short version: I've been on a rollercoaster of a journey the past nine years. I lost a parent, spiraled into depression, emotional binge eating, then Covid hit and worked from home...Not moving...I feel like I woke up after a bad dream in a body I didn't recognize. I ballooned from 185 to 360 (my highest) and after I'm now down to 346 with a way to go but I'm feeling fantastic! This is also the first time I've publicly shared my weight so that feels good to get it out there! I'm walking more, swimming again, and drinking a lot more water. I'm also doing IF and modified keto and being very intentional about tracking in this app. It keeps me focused on what I'm putting in my mouth for sure.

My goal is to complete the Everest Base Camp trek in a few years and I'm so motivated!!

I don't have any friends here so I'd love to be friends!

    Hello! Boy, do I know how you feel?

    I am a bit older, but experienced the same shock when I weighed 348 lbs. I felt so ashamed and so lost. My glucose is too high, my blood pressure is too high, and my cholesterol is a mess. I am too big to move the way I want.

    I started a new lifestyle. I am not on a diet. I eat everything in moderation. Much smaller portion and no added sugar. I am gluten-free and dairy-free (by choice because I have an autoimmune disorder and wanted to give it a try).

    I weighed in at 324.6 lbs yesterday and like you, I have at least 100 pounds to lose. I hope to be there by Xmas (2025).

    I was looking for friends too, but found out that it wouldn't make a difference because you can't communicate. MFP doesn't have an activity thread or a newsfeed anymore.

    You are already a success story and I am proud of you.

    You know what? You and me should start a group. I tried to join a group but many of them are not active anymore or have requirements that I don't full fill. I am not taking any weight loss meds or weight loss injections. I am doing the old fashioned way.
