Hello,
My name is Stephanie. I am 30 yrs young and I have always had trouble with losing weight. I want to come here and brag on my achievement of my weight please don’t judge. The heaviest I have been is 265lbs on May 2024. I currently weigh 235lbs Nov 2024. I am so proud of myself and I still have a long way to go for my goal of 180lbs. So many things has happened in my life and I finally got to focus on my physical and mental health. At first it is VERY HARD. It is something that one has to really commit and dedicate.
What has really worked for me is meal prepping of low calorie high volume meals. The meals keep me full and it doesn’t break the daily calorie bank.
For example:
My current daily calorie intake is 2,100
My Breakfast is always the same: 265kcal
*Yogurt Vanilla 90cal 14gProtein
*Strawberries
*Blueberries
*Oatmeal 75cal (1/4 cup)
*Milk 1/4cup
Lunch: 400-600cals
Dinner: 400-600cals
Maybe snacks
Sometimes I don’t meet the daily calorie goal which I think is okay because I am training my body to not eat a lot like I used to.
It is hard because at work my coworkers eat junk food and of course who doesn’t love junk food. I do have my cheat days which is Saturday and Sunday, you don’t have to go crazy just get what you crave so you don’t feel too guilty. Then you get right back to it with your meals prepped from Sunday for the week. Again, IT IS VERY HARD. But very worth it. At first I was working out but recently I was not able to this past month and still lost 3 lbs. So it goes to show that calorie deficit is KEY. I now focus on my meals, something easy and quick to make and within the calorie deficit. I find my meals in Instagram and TikTok which helps me stay motivated for new and different meals every week.
I weigh myself every 5 weeks and set my goal for at least 3-5 lbs. At first it was hard to concept that losing ANY amount of weight is a good accomplishment. So I try not to get discouraged if I don’t lose 5lbs but like I said it’s better than nothing or gaining weight.
My family gave me compliments with my weight loss which boosts my confidence and my motivation. My clothes do look better and feel a bit looser.
Just need to stay positive, stay meal prepping, try to workout and move forward and to not give up.
My journey is not done yet.
If you need help or advice, respond here I’ll do the best I can.
Thank you for hearing me out.
