Hi I’m new to “the community”

I’m 58 and a married male. I’m in what i consider a less laborious trade than typical but i at least stand all day and oftentimes I’m using my arms and lifting or moving 5-10 pound objects for a couple hours at a time. I enjoy my work but it would be nice if i had more control over the specific activity. You know, arms one day and legs the next lol. Who really gets to choose? Sometimes when i do my own side work yes I’m my own boss and i get more freedom.

ANYWAY, for ten years my a1c has crept up to the point last December where my endo declared me “diabetic” at 6.7 a1c. After some prescribed glp-1 meds for 5 months yes my a1c dropped to the 5’s but i didn’t like the side effects. Here i am now off glp-1 for about three weeks trying to learn how to have good nutrition and exercise. I’m seeking what would be considered good macros. I cut carbs to less than 50grams per day and probably went into ketosis. What now? lol. That’s where I am. I think I’ve said enough for now. Thank you for reading if you’ve made it this far.
