Good morning all! I've been a bit MIA with a trip to Hilton Head Island this past week, doing some volunteer work at Operation Christmas Child, getting ready for the holidays, etc. but I finally caught up on reading and liking and hugging! Lots of activity while in HHI - running, walking, biking and even went to a gym for some weight lifting one day.

I was feeling the cold here yesterday but I made myself go to our local park and ran 5 miles on the trail there. It was one of those where I had to force myself to keep going and just get it done.

@tarun_yadavA - Congratulations on reaching 2000+ miles for the year! No pictures of a sloth?

@daria0919 - Definitely get a second opinion from a sports doctor. Someone in your running group can probably recommend someone.

I can see a lot of you use Strava, do you find it good? I only use my Garmin, would you recommend having Strava too?

I use Strava for the community feature. You can easily see what activities your friends have done and like and comment on it. You can link your Garmin to Strava and the activity automatically uploads to there. Come join us there!

Got 7 in this morning.... only 9 more days left in the year. wow. that went fast. Went out before dawn because I had gotten up and I sort of like the peacefullness of early morning runs. Ran by a skunk who was trundling off rapidly away from me so no threat and very few dog walkers out. The dawn was simply amazing as there were low clouds and the sky around the red ball sun was on fire. I really enjoyed seeing that and along with the lower humidity and cooler air managed to push my pace. I even had a 9:10 split altho I admit I was trying to get the .25 mile under the 9 min pace. Calculated I need to avg 4.3 miles the rest of the year to match my running from last year and that will make this my month with the most mileage.

A friend gifted me 2 amaryllis this year and I am totally impressed by how easy these are. I had pretty much given up on having them in the house due to causing gnats and basically being messy but look at this self contained beauty. I also found a neighbor with heavenly blue morning glories which were a lot easier to get good photos of.
