Alrighty friends, it’s December! This month comes with plenty of distractions—traditional get-togethers, office parties, food-centric gatherings, gifts of sweets, and New Year’s celebrations that often involve drinks and, yep, more food. It’s… well, it’s a lot. But we’re in this together, and we’ve got this! ✨
Regardless of whether you’re starting fresh, refocusing on your current plan, or celebrating big milestones, this is a space for support and encouragement. Share your daily weight updates, celebrate recent wins, and draw inspiration from each other—because every small victory matters!🏆
December can be tough, but together, we’re going to keep moving forward.
New here? It’s never too late to join us! Whether you’re checking in regularly or popping in for updates, everyone is welcome here.

A nice round number to start.
My daily and weekly goals this month:
Daily
get in 10k steps 👣
Read 1 chapter 📖
Drink 2 litres of water 💧
Weekly
3x 30min gym 👟
Finish 1 book 📚
Ok that should do it. I don’t want to get carried away and discourage myself. The book thing seems steep. But Im so close to my goal this year. 1 book a week would cinch it. (Audio books count!)
Here’s to December!

Ooh, I like it, @capewrathultra! Great way to visually see it!
@tmbg1 You can do this. I am once again re-losing the same lbs I've lost before. Please go read the last page of the November thread for some motivation and support from several of us; it will help you. Thanks for the new thread @ManifestingToday !!
I happened to find a note to myself I wrote in January this year that said I was aiming to get below 180 by mid December. It’s within reach! I’ve fallen off the calorie counting and I need to stock up on non alcoholic wine. If I can manage those two things I can do it. I’ve been craving more movement and would like to incorporate that without causing my hunger to shoot up.2 -
@ManifestingToday - thank you for the new December Post.
Highest Weight 212 lbs | Ultimate Goal 140 lbs | First Goal 165 lbs
November goal was 172- was a half pound shy of hitting that yesterday. I can live with that.
December Goal- 167
It dawned on me this morning that I am so very close to my first goal. However its December and I want to be realistic. There will be more than our fair share of temptations to be had. As I have gotten closer to my first goal weight, its gotten harder to get more losses in the month. I'm not sure why that is. Weight loss has been slower and I am not hitting the .05 to 1.5 lbs of loss average per week. I don't think I am trying any less that's for sure. I have adjusted my macros a bit but that threw me way off course a week ago with an unexpected gain. Might have to take another look at TDEE and BMR calculations for adjustments
So Here we go!
Dec 1- 172.8

@canadamarie and @HappyDonkey75 - so happy for you both! You're so near your targets and I'm excited to see you get there. If you can do it, I can too.3

I fell off the wagon in late September and now I'm ready to get back on. I know I've gained way too much since then, but stopped weighing myself. Clothes do not fit well at all. I told myself come December first I would not weigh in, but would log my food for 1 month and then I would weigh in. This is new for me as I typically weigh in daily. I am so scared of the number I am going to see that I am going to try something different. I am around 150lbs, but I am only 5'0" so yeah. I had gotten down to 142 in September and I have no idea what happened or why I quit (well I can think of a few things). My clothes felt great at that point. I thought this group might be great since it's called "just give me one month". I will let you know how the logging goes. Thanks for listening.4

Happy December, and to @ManifestingToday, I appreciate your wise and encouraging words for us today.
I essentially maintained all of November which I’ll take as a plus. Have slight post Thanksgiving day water weight from a higher sodium weekend.
Yet, having a challenge in December does seem to help me stay “in check” with all the extra opportunities to indulge in goodies and holiday drinks. But we can use mindfulness and moderation! I would love to get back down a couple pounds by New Years Eve. 🥂
Let’s do this together!

Heaviest weight: 167
Starting Weight October 2022: 157

Overall goal: 141.5 (5%)
Dec. 1 - 149.7

Heaviest weight: 180
Current weight: 164
Goal weight: 140
In November I lost almost a pound a week. That’s on average. Some weeks I didn’t lose at all and others I dropped 1-2 pounds.
My goal for the first two weeks of December is to hit 162-163lbs. Then I’m aiming to maintain for 2-3 weeks. Realistically I don’t think I can lose weight over the holidays. I might even gain. Most probably actually , but I’ll give myself the goal of maintaining.
Good luck to you all and happy December!5 -
137 today. Scale wavered at 136.8 but then settled at 137.3

Comment (Dec. 2, 2024):
"Over" on calories, yesterday, but I'm still devouring the Thanksgiving leftovers. Snuck in a walk last night, which definitely helps the waistline. Looking forward to a good day, today. Best wishes, my friends!5 -
Holiday bloat is gone, and so is the turkey and pie!
Today I will focus on my lean protein levels and hydration. Hitting the gym pretty soon for a Zumba class. It will help shakes things up lol.
Happy Monday everyone!

I got my steps and water on yesterday. While I should have read my chapter I opted to bake and make Christmas Jam yesterday. We put up the tree. Did all the christmassy things
Today there’s 3 inches of snow and it’s still coming. So the shovelling counts as my workout today.

It’s been awhile! I got down to 148 back in June and then have been gaining it all back….its so much more fun to gain, but my desire to take pics with the kiddo without feeling self conscious is at an all time high. I really need to focus on this and get back to a healthy weight. My parents are visiting next Thursday so I am going HARD these next 10 days (my mom judges and comments harshly and I don’t feel like making it worse then I know it’s going to be) . Also TOM so the bloat weight should fall off fast. Just did a 60 minute walk over lunch and hoping to keep at it for these 10 days and then scale back to a more realistic pace.4 -
Hi Everyone! I have been on a weight loss journey since March 2024 and I was doing great until October. I have not been "off the wagon" per se, but in the last two months I have been slacking on using the food diary and watching the carbs (my nemesis). This has resulted in slower weight loss progress, so I am hoping that going back to tracking food / counting macros, along with joining y'all here for accountability, will kick my weight loss back into high gear this month.
I'd like to end the year <170.

I’ve been walking quite a bit and have a lot of walking planned for the rest of the week. Hope it helps! My appetite is in check too. Had a glass of wine this evening as a treat for having so many calories left over. I feel on track and think I can lose a pound or 2 in the next 2 weeks. Here’s hoping! 😃
Went to get my Christmas tree yesterday. 🎄 It snowed in the lot and felt very Christmasy! ❄️ My tree is up now with just the lights on so far. I’m starting to get into the Christmas spirit! 🦌

Strength training at lunch yesterday but last night's yoga class got cancelled. Work schedule is very light the rest of the month so will try to fit in a Leslie Sansone indoor walk today. Forgot to log my food yesterday so will go back and enter it now so I can see what tweaks are needed today

Well I’m not surprised. A snow day resulted in my daughter baking cookies. I couldn’t not eat a couple! lol. And son requested my home made Mac and cheese. Bacon. Tomatoes. Extra cheese. Oh it’s the ultimate comfort food. On a snowy day who can resist.
Ah well. It was a great cosy day and I have no regrets.
Off to make redeeming choices. Weeeeeee!!!!3 -
Comment (Dec. 3, 2024):
Watching Monday Night Football didn't derail me last night. I passed on the guac and chips, and I had 2 hard seltzers, which are less than half of the calories of the DIPAs thatI usually drink. Running out of Thanksgiving leftovers, so that should help, too.4
