Hello new friends ♥️

Hello all! This is my very first day counting calories. I hope this isn’t as hard as I’m expecting. Glad to see I’m not the only one on this journey! Please let me know favorite recipes or things that keep you going!

    Hello, and welcome!

For sure, logging food/exercise to count calories was surprisingly much easier - and surprisingly much more effective in my case - than I had expected.

I admit, there's a bit of a learning curve with the logging. It can feel a bit time consuming or effortful at first, because we're learning. As we get those skills more refined, it gets easier and easier, IME. Logging a typical day takes only a minute or two now, and to me that's a small investment given the huge quality of life improvement that came with being at a healthy weight, having good health markers, etc. (Even logging an extremely non-typical day takes no more than 5-10 minutes tops, which to me is NBD on those relatively rare days.)

BTW, the benefits of weight loss and health improvement were surprisingly much bigger than I'd anticipated, too . . . and some of them came along the way, not just after I got to goal weight.

So: A little patience and persistence up front, while learning. Almost anything that delivers big benefits can take a little learning and effort to put in place, right?

I'm cheering for you to succeed: IME, the results are very much worth the effort!
