Good vibes everyone!
I’m Austyn and I’m looking to meet more people who share my passion for health, fitness and nutrition (HF&N). My journey began Tuesday, July 19, 2021 when I decided to go vegetarian and started to realize how impactful food choices and eating habits were to my health. Since then I’ve lost over 125 pounds 🤯 and have discovered depths within myself that I hadn’t previously explored, leading to me currently LIVING MY BEST LIFE!
Although I’m proud of myself and love the confidence I have in my body I feel moved to help others that struggle with the food addiction I once had. This urge to help has caused me to go all in on my passion for HF&N, choosing to pivot my career path from the office/law firm to the gym as I aim to have the rest of my fitness courses completed by the year’s end (only two classes left 🙃) before furthering my education in nutrition. My vision is to help corporate professionals incorporate an efficient [diet and exercise] regimen in their routine that allows for them to reach optimal fitness levels.
My journey has helped me discover my true passion and has given me the courage to set sail on a mission of fitness and nutrition! The remainder of the year will consist of me being deeply entrenched in my studies and creating fitness programs in hopes of capitalizing on the momentum of New Year’s resolutions to help launch a new career in the fitness industry in 2025. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to socializing with other fitties, vegetarians and vegans so please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself and comment on my post!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post 😌. Happy holidays! 🎅 🎄 🦌

Whoa, Austyn: Amazing, huge results! You look like a whole different man, and I'll bet you feel like one, too.
It's especially wonderful that your success (and passion) have you wanting to shift your life course and pay that goodness forward to others.
I admit, I have some similar feelings, but as a li'l ol' lady retiree at age 69, I'm thinking that a new career probably isn't in the cards. I do try to help others here (quite imperfectly, I'm sure), especially new MFP-ers. I also "den mother" new rowers at our local rowing club (on-water rowing) where I've now been a member for a couple of decades, and had gotten some coaching credentials in that sport along the way.
My main thing is helping people transition from our pretty-short (4 week) learn-to-row class (where I'm a volunteer assistant to the official paid coach) into becoming regular rowers who keep learning and enjoy rowing all season, and for seasons into the future. So rewarding when it works out! Some of the people I den-mothered when they were new are now board members of our club, competing in races, and mentoring new rowers who've come along since.
I hope we'll see you as a continuing contributor in the MFP Community, because your experience and education can definitely help others make progress!
I hope I can offer one suggestion about that without offending you, since I know you're new in the Community here. It would be great if you can share useful information out here in public on threads, where the most people can benefit. (There tend to be some readers who are shy about posting much, but do comment now and then when something super-much strikes a chord.) A bad thing that can happen here is that sometimes people say they're coaches, and post "please DM me if you want more details". On the surface, that's fine . . . but there's a high incidence IME of those people turning out to be selling multi-level-marketing expensive supplements, or who turn out to be self-appointed experts who want paying clients, and things like that.
Clearly, someone of your experience and education, let alone your massive personal success, isn't like that. I wouldn't want folks to even assume that. We do have some well-qualified trainers, coaches and such around here in the Community, and they're very much valued as participants. (Probably some of them collect a few clients as a result without overtly advertising, and that's fine, doubtless helpful to them and those clients.)
I could easily see you joining that group of valued experts if you have time and inclination to share your insights and opinions.
For sure, I'm cheering for you to keep hitting the milestones with your nutrition and fitness education, as well as accomplishing personal goals you may have in addition to the ones you've obviously already accomplished. Go, you: It's impressive.
Best wishes!

Hat off to you!
I sincerely hope your new journey will inspire others. You’re going to have people do the snort/“you’ve never been like me so what do you know about it?”
You do know about it!
As much future success to you as you’ve had past success! 😘1 -
PS. Putting in a plug for MFP boards here. We need a young game changer like you posting on these boards, rather than all us old tired repetitive retirees.
If you’ll follow regularly and posts, you’re going to find so many perspectives, myths, crazed beliefs, win/quit attitudes, it will be educational for your career choice. Every day it’s something new and , sometimes, jaw dropping.
Please consider contributing to the boards!!!!1
