Hi everyone! I missed posting on Wednesday (although I did weigh myself).
Weight was down almost 3 lb overall last week, but now it's up again (still down 1.5 from where I started). Kind of frustrated, but I'm going to blame the extreme cold that we've been experiencing.
We've been in the mid 20s temperature range for most of January, which is pretty typical. But this week we've been consistently single digits during the day and double digit negatives at night. Had to cover windows and drip faucets, so that was some extra stress. Also having some extra work stress right now. Hoping that things will be back to normal by the end of next week.
I haven't been tracking this week (although I have been trying to be mindful of what I eat ... sometimes), so I am not surprised that I am not losing. But I am a little surprised that I gained 1.5 lb. Hopefully most of it is from processed food/sodium and will go away quickly once I really get back on track.

@supersparklyk - Thank you so much for the support! I think it was just a shock to have a health scare come from nowhere (which I know it does for a lot of people). It's always different when it's 'you', though! Just another reason to keep myself healthy!
How is everyone doing as we enter the last week in January? I know I am personally starting to drag a bit; it is tough to keep up the enthusiasm day after day, week after week. This challenge, and the accountability, is really helping me stay on track!6 -
Good afternoon, I know January is d add almost over but I just started on this app .I would like to join this challenge. I have lost 7 pounds this past week .7

@menardfrancine24 Welcome to the challenge. It's wonderful to have you here!0

Thank you, @Walela617 !
I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

Overall not a change this week which I suppose isn’t a bad thing in itself. I did well with tracking & staying active but I did have some evenings where I disregarded my plan completely. Hopefully will get back on track this week & push toward getting a loss next week. I’m hoping to make this a lifestyle change so not too worried about it overall - trying to keep some balance & perspective!6 -

This week has been a real challenge as I went away for the weekend. Yes, I went to restaurants but I guess the amount of walking countered some of calories. I’ve stuck to a high protein low carb diet that seems to be working but I just need to get myself back in a routine of going to the gym.5 -

Last week I was sick AND cold (which is weird for where I live!) and I didn't weigh myself.
This week I've been able to exercise and eat cleaner, and I'm hoping this "healthy high" carries me quite a way before I hit a plateau. 190 has always been a hard range to escape for me in the past.

Looks like I hit the target for this month by almost a pound. I have to remind myself that the weekly fluctuations are going to happen and that what I am aiming for is the downward trajectory of the scale number. The other thing I am counting as a win are the new habits I am creating and working on being consistent in certain areas of my life.

@Corina1143 Ah..... You just made February and March an OPPORTUNITY to grow and to practice things like self-discipline. Every experience is another OPPORTUNITY. Every dark cloud has a silver lining. I have to believe that for myself or I would go INSANE in this journey. Cheer up! Good things are on the way!1 -

Intro: I am 43 years old, 5'2" with a starting weight of 146 lbs. With being petite, EVERY pound is a battle. I have three little kids - ages 4, 6, and 8 -- and my hubby travels for work. So, cooking heathy meals the kids will actually eat, as well as trying to find time to exercise are struggles for me.

Weekly Update: Well, boo. I've been plateauing around 143 all week. I've done well with tracking, and actually started tracking exercise (just to have a goal and make record of my exercise, etc.) I think I'm going back to just aiming for a 1/2 lb loss a week - 1350 calories for me - and not tracking any exercise. (I will still exercise as I was, but not track it on MFP.) I seem to have better luck with that.
Trying to keep up the good fight! It's tough for me to stick with it when progress grinds to a halt.

01/22-191.4-(Trend Weight: 192.8)- Meals were good again but sneaking into the night time snacks is still happening and needs to stop. I have identified it as intense sugar cravings and emotional self-sabotage eating. I’m still going round & round with the old contractor. My only relief is that the new contractors are moving along very well though they do have many prior commitments that sometimes brings things to a stall. Weather is ridiculously cold here and they are dealing with helping multiple people or small companies with frozen pipes etc. Day 3 of no school here due to below zero temps. I have not been sleeping well or sleeping enough as the emotions affects that too. I feel like I’m just a mess. However, TMI cooperated. Stay warm folks! And for those in warm temps, stay cool. Stay cool…..Hmmmm……That sounds like something I would have written in the 1970’s in a high school year book! I hope you older folks got a chuckle there!
01/29-192.4-(Trend Weight: 192.5)- I jump of 1.2 lbs overnight did not help. My trend weight is doing good because its been a decent week. Today I travel and will be eating at a restaurant. I must watch my p’s and q’s. I would like to finish out this month with some sort of loss. I just can’t let myself keep going backwards!

Super happy with this week's results! I've been focusing on lowering my sodium intake, so I am hoping that is helping, but I'm glad to be right on track for my goals. A super proud moment for myself - my family and I all went to Applebees for dinner this weekend. I stuck to my deficit and focused on a yummy, low calorie choice. My decision encouraged my family to all do the same! We were all super proud! It feels like food is not having as much of a vice grip on me as it did before.6 -

200 lbs this week! I’m eating healthier. I have to exercise more! I’m going to try and not eat after 8pm at all this week! I have to change up my strategies and keep things fresh to maintain my motivation. How do I want to look and feel about my body in a bathing suit when summer comes? I need to discipline myself and create new habits. lol, as I look outside to the snow swirling around!!! 🤣❄️7 -

I’m frustrated but I’m still showing up for myself. I’m focusing on nutrition, sleep, and water.
Some of the challenges I a facing is stress management and ttc.
I added a de-stress vitamin and a b complex. If there are any ttcs in the challenge I am happy to connect for that journey too.
If anyone is in connect/garmin or TPVirtual feel free to friend me!
