Hello, and welcome, Dini!
Y'know what? If pounds have crept on, you can creep them off again - maybe a little faster than they came on, but it will take some time to lose a meaningful total amount of weight. I lost around 50 pounds in a bit less than a year, and it was definitely a quality of life improvement worth investing that time.
One piece of advice: Sometimes a sensibly moderate calorie goal, food choices we personally find tasty and filling as well as calorie-appropriate, and maybe manageable new exercise can get us to goal weight in less calendar time than some extremely restrictive, difficult set of eating rules with punitively extreme and exhausting exercise stacked on top of it. That latter approach is common, but often results in deprivation-triggered bouts of over-eating, breaks in the action, or maybe even giving up altogether because it's just too hard.
IMO, the true golden prize isn't just reaching a healthier weight, it's staying at a healthy weight long term, ideally permanently. Finding a routine that's pleasant enough - or at least tolerable and practical enough - to continue long term is a path in that direction, I think.
Wishing you success: The results are worth the effort!1
