Haven't been on here for so long.. and just jumping on to say hi to you all. We are still in the midst of many tests before hubbys aneurysm surgery. Now they have to check his kidneys since he will lost 30% of kidney function when they do the surgery… they have to block off one artery.

But.. I've just been busy shredding over 15 years of business records!! Yikes!! Hubby already had his identity stolen, so he does not want to take them anywhere for anyone else to shred. But.. I think I convinced him to try and see how they handle them. If they shred while we watch, maybe he will do ok.

I am doing really well on my diet though. I am not logging my food, but I found a youtube video where this lady lost 110 pounds.. and has kept it off for 10 years. She is so motivating.. and its all simple stuff. Eat what you want to eat.. but just make portion control the biggest thing. And swap out things for other. And.. lots of water. So… I've been doing this almost 2 weeks.. I am down roughly 8 pounds. Only 6 more pounds and I can finally get back into onderland. So.. I am motivated to keep going. I've always been good with the exercise part… that is one habit though the years I have changed. Even though I'm not logging my food on here.. I am keeping a notebook and writing it down. That also seems to work better for me because I can look back easily.

Plus my yearly physical is in May… so hoping to lose at to be back in onderland. I'll give you guys the link if you want. This lady gives suggestions as to cravings, how she stopped her out of control compulsiion with food, etc. I was finding that I was becoming so obsessed with what I eat.. it was not healthy. So.. at least so far, this is really working for me. For whatever reason.. her youtube channel was just what I needed… and what she says it so like me.

But hope you are all doing OK… I am like 200 posts behind!! I'll try and get on later to catch up on what I missed.

Was super tired yesterday didn't get much accomplished after work. Realized I missed my thyroid meds Wed & Thursday, that really knocks me down. I've actually been really missing lately on meds evening and morning. Need to add that to my daily tasks. I am a much happier healthier person when I'm consistent.

Did NOT want to get up this morning. Even laid back down after letting dogs out. Made it to work in time for my 7:30am. I do look a little like a vagrant. Ballcap and no make up. Hoping I see no other upper management today. Weight was up a tick again today. It's hard to tell in this stage of life, but I'm guessing it's a TOM thing based on how I feel. At 51 I thought I'd be past this by now, but I'm still in flux.

Need to get laundry under control this evening and get some exercise in. The weather has settled so I should be able to get outside.

Tomorrow is a regatta (college rowing) day so my steps will be high. We pretty much walk around with the pup for 3 hours while watching the kid race.

@mytime6630 - Happy (belated) anniversary! I hope your husband's surgery is scheduled soon and goes well.

@Bex953172 - So sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family find comfort in your memories.

@HappyDonkey75 - Glad to hear your knee issue is less serious. Good for you on doing something for yourself. As women, we often take so much upon ourselves without considering what we need to stay healthy and moving forward.

Yesterday's weather was lovely, lifting my spirits and my energy level for a bit. I got a lot done early in the day but took a nap later in the afternoon. I'm hoping to get some work done in the garden and walk with my husband before the rain moves in. I'm still working on reading posts but thinking about all of you.

I'm going to post for today & tomorrow. Sat. I'm attending a Lutheran Women's Missionary League spring rally. Registration starts at 8:30 and program ends with a light lunch at noon. Thankfully the location is a church not that far from where we live, so I don't have to leave extra early. Probably a good idea if I shower tonight, saves me time in the morning. I'm sure the doggo & Kitty will expect potty time & breakfast, respectively, as soon as I get up.

Recap 5/1 R ~ Rainy & very wet day so no dog walk

    • Casserole for supper (ground beef defrosting) / limit sweets & snacks 😡 did not do well / 80 oz. water ~ 64 / log all food ~ tried / net calories zero 😵 nope but w-i same as day before
    • OT exercises ~ 3x / min. 5000 steps 😁 >8100 / PT exercises ~ knees & hip too achy with weather
    • Check freezers, review several recipes & finalize grocery list / grocery shop (remember missions list) / update calendars / laundry (clothes, towels) / restock bathroom items from basement / call Mom (check Brewers schedule) 🙄 I lost track of the time / read / digital declutter / other? washed dishes 😀 ta-da!

JFT 5/2 F ~ Cloudy & cool, at least not raining.

    • Leftovers for supper / limit sweets & snacks / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero
    • OT exercises / walk dog
    • Funeral luncheon set-up 9:00 🙂 done
    • Put away clean dishes / finish folding laundry & take upstairs, put away / refill upstairs watering can with rainwater / prep donations, cash & clothes for tomorrow's rally / call Mom / read / digital declutter / shower early evening / set alarm / other?

JF Tomorrow Sat. ~ LWML spring rally 8:30 - 1:00

    • Wise food choices at rally (no idea what to expect) / supper? / water? / log all food (might skip this) / net calories?
    • OT exercises / walk dog
    • Anything accomplished is a bonus

@cschmitz110515 enjoy your women's rally. I've been very distant in church since Sierra's mental break a few years ago. I don't blame, but my security is definitely shaken.

    Hi everyone!

I'm taking part in the 100 skips every day in May challenge to try raise money for Cancer Research.

This is the first time I've ever done anything like this!

    https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/rebeccas-giving-page-34522056

I'd like to share my fundraising page here, if you guys could share further I would appreciate it as my social networking is pretty slim 😂

I don't want any of you to feel obliged to donate but if you are able to it would be much appreciated!

And if any of you have any other ideas of how I can get more donations then that would be fantastic!

Sorry, I've been MIA for a while but I'm hear to ask a question:

I am in another group with Terri and it has a volunteer list where everyone can pick a day to lead. Terri always leads on the 1st of the month and never misses as far as I've known, but she missed on 5/1 and we haven't seen any other activity from her and we are a bit worried.

I am not friends with Terri on MFP, so I cannot send her messages or see when she last logged into MFP. Is anyone else here friends with Terri who can reach out?

    @TerriRichardson112 … I hope everything is OK!

Low energy again today - the heat and humidity didn't help - but I managed to get in a short walk. My husband and I had lunch out and then stopped at the garden center to get some pond plants. He worked on the garden while I took a nap. And that was it for the day. As my afib has gotten worse over the last few months, I've been struggling with fatigue and shortness of breath. Exercise is a challenge as I have to keep my heart rate in check. The meds aren't working, so I'm on deck for a TEE and cardioversion this month and an ablation this summer. Hopefully that'll get me back to a normal heart rhythm and energy level. I really miss my hikes and bike rides. But for now it's easy walks, healthier food choices, and working on keeping my calories in check.
