@HappyDonkey75 Wow, that's quite the workout! Give yourself a break, too.
@pridesabtch You should be so proud, mama!!!
Recap Sat. 5/17 ~ Much cooler than last few days, feels more like normal spring LOL
- OT exercises 🙂 / walk dog 😀 3.66 mi happy dog & happy me
- Pasta with spinach for supper (yay for fresh veg starting to be in season!) ~ yum / limit snacks & sweets ~ limited to peanut M&Ms / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero 😁 -32 close enough!
- Last indoor farmers market of season 😁 got fresh spinach & asparagus, local grass-fed beef & pasture pork, cage-free eggs = Yum! Also, got some tips from fellow shopper on slow-cooking a beef arm roast. Going to try this tomorrow (hopefully beef thaws fast).
- Put patio chairs back again lol / check rain gauge & barrels ~ 0.4" rain & both barrels are full / find watering cans in basement & fill / update budget s/s for bills, purchases /
read/ digital declutter / other? rinsed & refilled both birdbaths as they are really getting action, dug dandelions from lawn for 45 minutes (stopped before my back was too sore, still took Aleve before bed), prepped overnight oats for next 3 days, prepped veg for Sunday pot roast & seasoned beef 😁 ta-da!
JFT Sunday 5/18 ~ Even cooler today & cloudy. Furnace is off so I'm happy to use slow cooker and washer/dryer to slightly heat house. LOL springtime.
- Church 9:00 😆 Drove my normal route, found "road closed" sign… I hadn't realized the marathon running this morning had a half that was using some of "my" streets. The news I read said only the neighboring village streets were affected, but I should've checked routes online further. Fortunately I was in one of my former neighborhoods and backtracked easily to get on the highway and take the next exit (I usually never take the highway to get to church). Almost immediately saw road sign for runners ahead, but was able to turn where I wanted. More than a few folks came into church after the service had started, I assume for the same reason I just made it. LOL
- Veg & beef already in slow cooker for pot roast supper / limit snacks & sweets / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero
- OT exercises / walk dog
- Laundry (in progress) / reply to aunt's email / prep bday card to mail / read / digital declutter / other?
WOTY 2025: Judicious ~ I just like the way the word sounds, and the meaning is right for me: having or showing reason and good judgement in making decisions. I can apply this word in so many ways!

The weekend sure did fly by even though we didn't do anything special. Just worked around the property all day Saturday and Sunday was pretty low key. Mostly because I was so tired still from that workout Sat morning. I am paying still for that workout @cschmitz110515 ! Sadly the muslce sorenesss kept me from resting very well last night so I am very tired today .
I am not sure why but sometimes my muscle soreness seems a bit off the charts at times and I have struggled with recovery from those hard days. My doctor tested me for CFS and Fibro several years ago and some of the markers they look at did indicate a possible issue but it required follow up labs within three months and I forgot to do it.. I have never put much weight into either of those diagnosis as I always thought they were one of those diagnosis that doctors give people when they don't know what else to tell patients. And the people I have met who claim to have these diseases generally seem to be unhealthy in alot of other ways by choice (lack of healthy diet and general lifestlye) from what I have observed..

After a challenging week, it was nice to have a quiet, relaxing weekend. My younger son and his partner came down to visit and helped my husband and me with some yardwork. I wasn't able to contribute much because my HR is back up, so I'm trying to move up my follow-up with the cardiologist. Today I'm trying to get back on track with logging and a somewhat normal routine, but I guess I'll have to see what the doc says. I also have to finish up and submit final grades for my early college class, so I may not get to some of the other items on my list. But the weather is gorgeous, so I really want to get in some outdoor activity, even if it's very low key.

prep bday card to mail/ read / digital declutter / other? kind of developed into lazy day 😐️
JFT M 5/19 ~ Not a very nice day: cold & windy. Wind chill is currently 45F… in late May! Furnace back on, as house inside temp was 64 this morning and outside was 44 & cloudy. Brrr. At least sun is finally starting to show this afternoon.
- Leftovers for supper / limit snacks & sweets / 80 oz. water / log all food / net calories zero
- OT exercises / walk dog after dentist?
- Dentist 2:00 / grocery shop / gas in car & check tire pressure / write/mail bday card / pack for overnight at parents' / make hummer food & fill both feeders (got another one from sister) / wash dishes / read / digital declutter / other?
Not sure if I'll post JFT for two days. I'm visiting my parents and staying overnight tomorrow. I have plans to walk with aunt, weather & schedule permitting. Rain forecast, though. I'll log food best I can & drink my water.

I am feeling quite a bit better this morning .I got some walking in yesterday, about 12K steps as I was able to do both my treadmill for 25 minutes and then took a walk up to my parents after work which is about 3/4 of a mile away . I woke up feeling way less sore today. Thank goodness.
I didnt eat well yesterday, didn't have much of an appetite so I didn't hit my protein , only got 89g instead of my planned 120 g. The medication adjustment might be at the root of all this not feeling well and lack of appetite so I may have to drop the dose a touch. I am noticing for the last three nights I am waking up again at the 3:00 am time with hot flashes so it might be time to up my estradial dose. I'll monitor for another few days and see if its a one- off or consistently increasing problem eeking back in. I will call my doctor if its the latter and see about bumping up my dose. I have been really happy with how the patch has essentially gotten rid of the awful nightsweats and never want to be without the hormones again ! Permenopause hit hard a few years ago and I didn't choose to do something about it until this year…I found Dr Mary Claire Haver on Youtube and read a couple of her books because my own doctor I was seeing at the time was not helpful.
Today is also NAD+ shot day and that usually helps my energy levels for a atleast part of the day. Anyone else out here do these? what has your experience been ? its part of the whole anti aging kick I am on these days.. lol.

Whirlwind long weekend. Friday pinning ceremony (Parkersburg to Pittsburgh 2.5hrs). Saturday Graduation (Pittsburgh to Philadelphia 5.5hrs). Sunday MAAC Championships, Monday Drive back (Philly to Pittsburgh to Parkersburg (8hrs).
The good was bracketed by some not so good. Tim's dad had to go back in the hospital. I sat with his mom Thursday afternoon and Monday evening. She is not doing well mentally or physically and with FIL's recent health issues he will not be able to care for her by himself. We are trying to figure it out.
Then there is my mom. She is really starting to worry me. She is doing strange, out of character things. Her yard is now filled with "yard art". Tim took pictures the other day as he had bowls with egg shells and others with raw eggs in them, and she had her sidewalk with piles of weeds and twigs "for the birds". That was something I could over look, but yesterday she had a dead bird in a chair. She wouldn't agree that it was dead and she said she just walks by and pets it until it feels better. I repeated to her that is was not alive and she dismissed me with a "That is your perception". I just left. I didn't know how to deal with it and I needed to get to my MIL's so my SIL could at least go home and get a shower. I talked to my aunt who is also a nurse, she gave me some suggestions for next steps. These steps are not pleasant.
Needless to say with the travel and such my eating has been awful. Yesterday I ate an entire can of Pringles during my 8 hour card ride and a string cheese. Then after the evening's events we went out for dinner. I chose a very high calorie shrimp alfredo over pasta and had a few drinks. Didn't weigh today. Want to at least flush some of the sodium out of my system. I'm so bloated my wedding ring is tight. I also forgot my phone at home this morning. Luckily I had a break in meetings at 8:30 and was able to go get it.
Anyway, I am a ball of tension, anxiety and sadness…

@pridesabtch - What a lovely picture of your girls! Their smiles really capture the joy of the occasion. I'm sorry to hear your FIL is back in the hospital and that both your mother and MIL are struggling with their own mental and physical health. That's a lot on your plate. As much as it's a blessing to still have our parents in our lives, the challenge of caring for them as they age can be exhausting. Make sure you take some time to care for yourself.

Yesterday was a pretty good day, although I felt like I pushed myself a little too much. My HR is definitely back up to where it was before the cardioversion, so I guess that didn't work. Hopefully the ablation (scheduled for late July) will. It's just so frustrating to not be able to do any serious exercise or get anything major done around the house or in the garden. But I guess I just have to take it in stride and be grateful for what I can do. The bigger chores will keep, and at least I don't have to feel guilty about taking time out during the day for reading and crafts 😄
I did a few little chores before I headed down to my mom's and spent a fairly quiet afternoon with her. We did a videocall with my sister who was feeling upbeat and chatty after her first chemo session. I know it helps my mom to see that my sister is doing okay and feeling positive about her care team. It's been really hard for my mom not to be able to run down to offer her love and support in person.
Rain is moving in today, so I think I'll try to get a few short errands done this morning. Hope you all have a great day!

Light rain on and off throughout the day, so my watering duties were taken care of. I made one final trip to Joann Fabrics today before it closes and picked up some odds and ends and way too much yarn, but I got some great bargains. I had a nice late lunch with my daughter but didn't get much done the rest of the day. After a late nap, I decided to just have a bagel for dinner and wound up breaking the tooth with the temporary fix, so I guess I'll be dealing with that tomorrow. Well, at least it didn't wait to happen over the holiday weekend. So I'm keeping tomorrow's goals really basic and posting them tonight.

Went a little off the rails at trivia. Not way of the rails, but definitely not what I'd planned. My stress levels are just too high right now. Drinking is not the best solution. After multiple panic attacks yesterday evening, playing a couple games of pool settled me a bit. Tonight's plan is laundry…
