Sober and healthy in 2025

Hey all! Im Amber, 41 yrs old, a widowed mama and a mimi, and a recovering alcoholic/drug addict. My story has had allot of ups and downs, mostly downs for the past 5 yrs. At the end of 2010 I had a gastric bypass when my weight was at its highest at a little over 350 lbs. I ended up getting down to between 150- 185 lbs and kept it off for years until my husband passed away almost 5 yrs ago. I ended up getting really lost in alcohol and addiction for a few years, went to rehab 3 times before finally getting sober and staying sober since early last year (2024). Unfortunately, with my sobriety I ended up gaining weight back. Now im trying to focus on getting my health back on track, getting more active, gaining tips, advice, and motivation, and getting to know other people on a similar journey. Im just ready to feel good in my body again and be able to have the energy and motivation to be more active and involved in making better memories with my kids and family and create healthy new habits.
