I'm looking for healthy recommendations that can be purchased at Walmart. Suggestions?

So full disclosure, I have a living situation that prevents me from being able to purchase fresh food. All of the foods that I purchase are to go type of meals like tuna bowls and the like. I don't have a way to change this any time soon so I'm looking for advice on items that can provide adequate nutrition while being portable. I'm currently supplementing with multi vitamins and greens. Thanks in advance!

Welcome @KennithKelley! Not a Walmart shopper myself, but I did a little search and did some thinking and did find a helpful Reddit post I wanted to share; They have a good selection of canned tomatoes, canned beans, brown rice, quinoa, eggs, oatmeal, nuts, dried fruit, Greek yogurt, whole wheat pasta, chicken, turkey, etc. I often get frozen fruits and veggies and their seasoning mix (chopped onion, pepper, celery) for convenience. I find their selection of frozen veg and fruit better than any other store in my area. You can build a really healthy shopping list by avoiding processed stuff. Walmart isn’t all junk food.
Canned or frozen produce is a good place to start; beans, high protein grains can all be a cheap basis for a dish. As much as you can stand, I would avoid fully premade items as they are not very nutritious and are expensive, on top of only lasting for a single meal. Where possible, buy ingredients you can cook into a dish that will last you multiple meals. Invest in seasonings that will last you for a year- it makes a difference. Learn to cook if you can't already.
Some people swear by living off of pinto beans, rice, and Mexican seasonings (paprika, cayenne, cumin, garlic/onion powder are the main ones to look at)- it might be a little boring but the bang for buck is undeniable, and you can add additional items on top of that very easily. Seasonings are also (almost always) zero calories and can make an otherwise boring vegetable- even frozen or canned- taste amazing.
Here's a meal that I make for my wife and I literally every week, if you can get your hands on even a little fresh produce or substitute a bit, it's braindead easy to make and requires very few ingredients on top of being delicious.
- Dice a red onion and cook it for a few minutes in the oil of a jar of sun-dried tomatos
- Optional: Once softened, add in any random bits from your fridge or cupboard if you want; frozen or fresh veggies, etc, if you want to really pack this meal up.
- Add minced garlic (jarred or whatever option you have is fine; it's just for flavor) and dried oregano. Cook until fragrant
- Add 1 cup heavy cream, 1 jar white (cannelini) or butter beans (or whatever you have) and spinach (or other greens), stir to combine and cook for 10 minutes. Greens should be cooked and wilted by this point
- Get some bread- doesn't need to be nice. Toast it a little bit and use it to scoop up the skillet/mixture once done
