Pasta- how much I should be eating

Hey guys. So I’m confused. I buy my pasta from Aldi- the spiral Remano and on the package it says per serving for uncooked it’s 100g and for cooked it’s like 240g. So if I were to weigh 100g of uncooked and I record that. When that cooked do I eat the whole thing or do I have to weigh out 100g of cooked? I’m really confused and could you help please

The serving sizes listed are the uncooked weight. The way to confirm it is to see what a serving size is and the number of servings in the package. If you multiply serving size by the number of servings you will get the listed package weight.

The pasta increases in weight because it absorbs water. Water has no calories.

So if you weigh 100g dry, then cook it, you log 100g dry because that's what you ate.

If you want to weigh when it's cooked, you would find the entry on MFP for cooked pasta, and enter the weight you ate of cooked pasta.

Weigh as much dry pasta as you want to eat. Log it as dry pasta. Dry pasta, rice, couscous and similar things always come in at around 350-360 calories per 100g. If you only want to eat 70g pasta then weigh it out dry, and log 0.7 for a log entry that has 100g dry pasta.
