  • Was just reading the same thing but the sizes were US sizes.

Give people an idea of what size they could be when losing:

    5ft7
    SW 251 Size 20/22
    CW 205.5 size 16 just!

I am 5ft 7, currently 216lbs, and a size 16. I sound like I weigh a lot to be a UK 16 but I'm a UK 36H bust too so a lot of my fat is concentrated in that area lol. I love reading about different sizes/weights etc just because it highlights how individual everybody is. I have a friend who is 168lb and has a 36 inch waist, but at 216lbs my waist is 34. It goes to show weight is not everything, it's height frame etc....really important for esp taller ladies to bear in mind I think.

    GW: 154 - (UK 12?)
Judging by previous posts, sounds like this might be highly feasible.

    I'm 5ft 4in

I started 104kg, size 22 on top, 24 on the bottom.

I'm now 76 kg, size 14 on top, 16 on the bottom.

My measurements are weird though. I wear a 16 on the bottom but have a 29 inch waist and have massive baps.

It really is amazing how much people's body shape and build affect their dress size as opposed to their height and weight!

    I was 13st 10lbs and a dress size 14 to 16 (but I would probably avoid buying the 16).
    I'm now 9st 13lbs and in between a size 8 and 10.
I'm 5ft 5 in height and just a few lbs off my goal weight.

I've found that my weight has come off on my hips, bum and boobs (all the good stuff!!!) so I am no longer hourglass and am a pretty straight/rectangular body shape instead. I do miss the curves that I have lost but I have gained quite a bit of muscle and feel much stronger and healthier...plus us B-cup girls can always accentuate our curves with the right clothes!

    Great job everyone :-)

    5 ft 4 inches.
    151 pounds (10 stones 11 pounds).
Size 14 in Dorothy Perkins jeans, could probably squish into a 12.

Even people the same height clothes size vary so much. They should make shops unify the sizes properly

I think there is huge variation in sizing... but there is also huge variation in what some people consider to be a comfoprtable fit. I can pick up some size 10s now and get into them and zip them up but that doesn't mean they "fit" me properly. I prefer to wear a size 12 comfortably rather than looking like I squeazed myself into a 10.

There are also huge variations in muscle mass. Someone with higher muscle mass/lower body fat will be a smaller size at the same weight than someone who is skinny fat.

    10 stone
    Size 6-8 Uk.

Also, fact is, people will have different bone structures so two people weighing the same, at the same height, will not necessarily be the same clothing size.

  • Ohhhhhh how I hate having to be so honest. It's like posting my hip measurement which has to exceed the size of my little barbecue grill. LITTLE barbecue grill.

    I'm a 22/24 without being tight.
I weighed in at 272. Down a bit from last Friday!

    I want to be a 16 to 18.
I would like to dip under 200 and see 198 then lose MORE! Don't know where I want to be, maybe 175.

    I'm a full 6 feet tall.

    Im a size 20/22. Australian.
    Im 172cms.
    Currently weigh 103kgs. 227 pounds.
I carry a lot of it around my middle *sigh*

I would love to be a 10/12. I really just want to get rid of the awful stomach I have.
Or to be able to put on a pair of pants that I don't need to get bigger to accommodate the ugly pouch of hanging fat I have to currently deal with around my mid section.

I am 5' 8" and last year I was 10 stone 6. I was a 10 on top and 12 in trousers (I have a terrible body shape where all my weight goes to my middle but I stay flat chested with no waist...I decided something really did have to be done when a colleague congratulated me on my "news". I didn't have any news and I don't know who was more mortified)

    I am now 9 stone 1 and am a size 6/8.

I have always exercised but my diet was atrocious, made worse by shift work and a terrible chocolate habit. I have changed my exercise routine and cleaned up my eating in a huge way and last month I changed my profile pic to my most hated body part - my tummy - to prove to myself that I can now be proud rather than ashamed.
  • 5ft 3.5, 12.2st (most days), seem to be around 12.6st when I'm on my period, have baggy size 14 trousers, baggy size 12 tops & managed to fit into a size 10 (leather) jacket yesterday.

    I'm 5ft3.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and weigh 10stone/140lbs at the moment.

Prior to this baby I was 9st7 and a size 8-10, but will be aiming for my pre-2nd baby weight that was between 7st 9/107lbs and 8stone/112lbs and a size 6-8.

(My goal is purely for after I've had baby and finished exclusively breastfeeding, but I'm trying to gain a sensible amount in pregnancy rather than let it all go and have a far longer journey.)

Hello UK ladies! I was looking at the Marks and Spencer site as they have free delivery to NZ! Is their sizing small, medium or large for the given size? I'm 5ft 7" and 9st 4llb (132) , average to slim build so was thinking of ordering a 10. About right do you think my friends?

I'm 5ft1 and am measuring using the same model of New Look jeans that I have in 16 and 14 and may buy in a 12 as they are so cheap!

    SW 173lbs/12 st 4 - 16
    CW 162lbs/ 11st 8 - 14
    GW 123lbs/8 st 7 - 10/12

In the early 10s (around 10st4) I fit in my size 12 Lipsy dresses so I think 10-12 at goal is reasonable. I have an hourglass figure so often have to wear a bigger size for the chest or hips but can go smaller on skirts that only fit at the waist. I didn't have scales when I was slim so I have no idea what I weighed!
