@martaindale I hope you recover from the flu quickly!!! It sounds like deferring might be a good idea if it’s possible.
@martaindale und @tarun_yadavA
We have lots of wood panels, on the ceilings, in the stairwell - where the water was flowing like a waterfall- so unfortunately it looks like we will be waiting to see if a mold problem develops… There are water marks in some of the rooms where we have wallpaper, but we have been using drying fans, and were planning on renovating here after finishing the upstairs anyways. Fingers crossed no mold appears! It’s the company’s fault for not paying any attention to the weather (by looking outside or at the weather report), and they said they would cover any damages. Let’s hope they keep their word. We did document everything as well, just in case…
Today was my final long run (16.2km) and I was trying to get used to marathon pace. It did feel quite hard, but maybe because I was running into the wind. Now I will be dialling back the mileage and taking more rest days. Things are getting real ;). Yesterday I ran 6.2km but didn’t have time to post. I’m happy this week is over. It was quite stressful.

I ran a 3.5 mile tempo run today. There has been rain in the forecast for today all week. When I got up it was not raining and there was only a 15% chance. It looked like it would be around 8:45 before we might get some rain, so I set out. I don't usually wear a cap when it is dark, but I decided to wear a cap just in case it did rain, and was really glad I did because it started raining about 3 blocks from my house and rained a light, but steady rain for most of the run. It did start tapering off about when I was about 1K from home. It wasn't a bad run. It wasn't stormy and the temperature was 61°F. I'm like several others here, I don't love running in the rain, but I don't mind running in the rain if it starts raining on me once I'm out, but it is so hard to get out the door when it is already raining.

Woke up with a lot of nerve pain this morning (always have it but some days it's really bad) so was thinking a rest day might be good. Knew we were going to be hit with freezing rain though, so decided to do some short walking & pick up some groceries before the weather blew in, and at the same time, I'd get in some cardio - bonus for me.
Got back after a couple of grocery walking trips and noticed the nerve pain was lessened, and since I had time, I hopped on my stationary bike for a 40 min ride to get some more cardio.
After I hopped off the bike, still had some nerve pain but felt better, so thought, I can squeeze in a quick 5K on the treadmill. Did that too.@angf0679 don't despair! Had I only been able to do my walking today I would've counted that both as a win and as a workout. Do what you can, when you can, forgive yourself when you just cannot.
I agree with @martaindale it doesn't have to be a 'workout' to be moving you towards your goal.8 -

Great tenacity! Tough runner!
3 -
Great consistency @chris_in_cal .
@angf0679 Remember, you have to take care of yourself so you can be the best at all the other things you need to do. The only run you regret is the one you don't do. And, one more - "The voice that's in your head that says you can't do this is a liar."- Unknown Now, get out there and get it done!
Glad you had a great run @yirara .
@Laurz9191 I'm glad the company is going to cover the damages. Nice long run. When is your race? I know you told us, but I've slept since then. 🤣
Nice rainy run @kgirlhart .
You did great today @John772016 . You just kept adding those activities. I hope the nerve pain is better tomorrow.
Great running @Mari33a . You should be pleased with yourself.

I went to the gym this morning. Today was arms - Assisted pullups, low row machine, bicep curls, and ball slams.
After the gym, I drove across the street and did my run/wun on the track/trail that goes around the local hospital. It's the first time I've ran on that trail - they call it a track, but I think of a track as being flat and oval. This one is neither, so paved trail seems more appropriate.
The run was at an avg pace of 12:14 min/mile. Avg HR was 141 with a max of 158 bpm. Splits were 12:11, 12:07, and 12:44. However, the last 0.20 miles was at an 11:10 min/mile pace. I'm happy with that. I could have gone further, but had a lunch meeting at 11:30.
I cooled a little, went back to the gym and washed up a bit and changed clothes, and made it to the meeting at 11:29. 😁
Made my goal for the month today. I'm playing tennis tomorrow, so won't get in a run - hope to walk in the morning before I leave. Sunday is a "rest" day, so I'll have one more run this month. I might make 90 miles this month. We'll see.

I got a fast 5k this morning at parkrun. Averaged 5:25 pace so I’m heading in the right direction (it was not my usual parkrun so what I lost in hills I gained in people. Does that make sense? It was flatter but busier!)

Hello everyone 🤗
Got in 10.0M at 09'54. Upped from 9M to 10M this week.
Went gym yesterday. Took wife out for her birthday yesterday. Went to a fancy Italian - types where they don't serve pizza! So yesterday was a carb splurge - so guess I had tonnes of energy this morning!
Some pics (haven't figured out spoilers for this new UI design)
My wife pictured with a legend... And Elizabeth Taylor! 😂
Forgot to get food pics. 🤦🏽
Just dessert courses.
Did look nicer - Wife ate the grapes and pear and walnuts... I destroyed all that cheese. Easy 500+ cals there alone.
Then I had this amazing dessert. A chocolate delice with a side of sourdough ice-cream (boujie way of saying cookie dough I think! Cos it tasted like that!) with these boozy candy berries! Soooo good
And then me with an old fashioned

I did a treadmill walk this morning before heading out for league tennis.
We lost the tennis match. My court was 0-6, 4-6. We were tied at 4-4, so that one was close. I had never played with my partner before today, so it took some getting used to. Still it was fun and the weather was great.

A strong bunch this month! gotta love it. My mileage has been up due to being able to do 2 pers most days (a short one at lunch) but we are headed into the time when I will be lucky to walk at lunch as it is heating up here. Maybe I will see if a mile is possible but probably just walking will have to do. Getting out is the most important part of it. I have never started a year this "strong" miles wise and it has helped deal with some crazy work stuff which could have stressed me out (ok it did but running took me back down). Yesterday I took an easy cardio day and just ran 2 for the streak and did a few walks. I hate that we can't spoiler photos anymore but so be it.
5 -
@chris_in_cal You have been patient and consistent. You'll get there!
Thanks @tarun_yadavA . Great run once again. You did great this month. I hope you can get back to your normal running in April.
You have been doing great @SummerSkier . I'm not sure how my mileage will be going next month either, as it will be lawn mowing time and that takes up some of my "free" time. We shall see.

Hi everyone!
@tarun_yadavA That looks like a great night out!
@AlphaHowls Good luck for your appointment!
I only ran 20 minutes today. I didn’t even really have the 20 minutes, so I was happy just squeezing in a mini run. I didn’t want to take 2 days off in a row. I had the kids accompany me. It was fun. I ran 3.2km.
328.8/300km for March.
