I am still learning

I’m still learning this app so bare with me.

I’m 42 and on a weight loss journey due to gaining a significant amount of weight over the last few years.

I am currently in a weight program pursuing bariatric surgery.

If yah got any pointers for beginner style exercises at home for fat people lemme know.
And fyi- I’ve been small a majority of my life and have went up and down In weight too but now it’s just too much and I need to reset my body.

I’m 53 petite and small boned so weight in me just doesn’t work.

I gained this weight due to several factors and reasons due to thyroid to being inactive to peri menopause to because of severe narcissistic and other forms of abuse and also it’s genetic.

My goal weight is to get back down to 130-145 lbs.

    Welcome!

The best advice I have for exercise is "just start". Make one extra trip to the bathroom. Walk to the mailbox twice tomorrow. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon. Google chair exercise. Turn on the music and dance. I've never done ddp yoga, but a MFP friend downloaded some free videos and used them to help him go from 350 to 300 in about 6 months. Google it.

I agree with above. Start today. It's okay to start small and continue from there.

Google Walk At Home on Youtube. Lots of low impact walking style workouts you can do inside your home. Go at your own pace, make moves smaller. There's no choreography to keep up with.

Welcome to mfp. I'm disabled so my mobility isn't the best. I currently fidget. my legs are in near constant movement as I sit at my desk. I stretch to improve my mobility and I also follow youtube videos on chair yoga and tai chi. I also have a walker i can sit on and rest. When the weather is nice. I go out and go as far as I can. When i feel my body twinge I turn round knowing that if i need to rest i have the walker with me. There are many pathways. you just need to pick something.
