Creating my own blue zone.

Hey y'all,

I hope you are well in these quickly changing times. I rescue canines and have a soft spot for severely malnourished large dogs. A couple of years ago I joined a powerlifting gym specifically to strengthen in case a dog suddenly yanked out to get a pesky squirrel on a walk. My wife and I have had four rescues in the house for the last eight months (three adopted and one foster who likely will stay permanently).

I really joined myfitnesspal to comprehensively track our nutrition and merge that data with our workout data. As a former fine-dining executive chef I can make any meal taste pretty good - now the challenge is becoming excellent at healthy meal prep and modifying all the sinfully yummy recipes into angelic healthy yummy recipes.

Hit me up to talk about growing your own food (anywhere), cooking techniques, food preservation (preppers), wilderness outdoor recreation, and extreme adventure competitions. I'm training now to qualify for the Iditarod Trail Invitational in Alaska (1000 miles in the dead of winter on foot, ski or fat-tire bike; I'm thinking I'll compete on foot) within the next four years before I turn 65. The intent is to challenge myself greatly so that my odds of living well past 100 immensely increase.

If you're dry or were a tobacco enthusiast, I'm here to help.

Jeffrey
