- May 5: 195.2 - I felt bloated and gross this morning. Not sure what's going on, but I'm not going to worry overly much about this. I did not eat and extra 12000 calories yesterday.

- May 7: 194.2 - Not really going my way this week. May goal is beginning to look out of reach…
- May 8: 192.6 - Leveling out. I lifted today for the first time in ages. Gonna see a bump in the scale tomorrow most likely.

- May 10: 192.4 - 3 cheese penne chicken pasta for dinner - high carb & salt. Within calories.

We have had rainy cool weather this week and yesterday was a real downpour all afternoon so my hike got cancelled and forced me inside for my workout cardio day (treadmill with weighted vest and hill climb)
More cool weather today but I actually am enjoying it.It beautiful . The lilac and apple trees are blooming and the air smells so clean . The grass is growing so fast I can hear it practically. :)

About not being sure if you have the bandwidth for the required deficit right now.
I feel like I’ve been going along this month not even really trying to reduce calories and wonder why nothing happens. I know it’s up to me to be able to make the required deficit happen.2 -

Thank you. I’m really tired at the moment. Perimenopause doing its worst. Things I could do without effort in my forties are a struggle these days. So maybe I’ll stick with where I am for a couple of months and keep an eye on the scale. I’ve made a lot of important changes recently like becoming vegan/ vegetarian and stopping logging my food. So maybe more weight loss isn’t gonna happen at all.

Thanks, Michieb125 . I'm just tired, frustrated, over all of this. I didn't have a fantastic doctor's appt, and I felt on the defensive and embarrassed. Other than my weight, bp/etc was all fine, and the doctor's shock at that made me feel rotten. Explained the ballooning weight since permimenopause and this female doctor seems surprised — like I'm the first person with this issue?
I'm back to testing the limits of my intestines with air popped popcorn and no calorie "butter spray". But I feel like if the weight doesn't kill me, all the acrobatics I'm doing to eat lesser calories will finish the job.3 -

Went for a walk today to get some errands done. It’s really warm here. Summer weather. It feels too soon for this kind of sweltering heat. Summer isn’t my favourite season. I know, I’m a weirdo! I just find it too hot. I like spring and fall. Even winter! Oh well. I should just accept it and embrace it!

I’m starting to feel my age too. I was walking down a flight of stairs with bags of groceries and I didn’t feel steady in my feet! What’s that!? It’s like I have to be careful. I felt a little shaky! I always thought I had strong legs but maybe I’m losing muscle. Maybe it’s really time to start strength training! I used to do it but stopped for some reason.

@MercyRoth - seriously let me talk to you about the frustration of a plateau..I feel that pain…3 months for me.. I don't know why suddenly I dropped essentially 4 lbs since Monday. Low energy is usually hormones or not enough calories for me. I have actually started doing NAD+ MIC shots which helps tremendously. You can get IV infusions but I just do the SubQ injections weekly. Helps me with my workout too. I am learning that as we age, we need some extra support. I am willing to do anything I can to keep the "old lady" away.

173.5 today after a 5 mile walk in NYC yesterday (medical appt). Had a few hours to kill before my train home so I walked around and saw some of my favorites places.
No weigh ins for the next week as I'm starting treatment this afternoon. Will still check in daily as I love this group!

I got a good long walk in today and this time dressed for the weather. Hot and sunny. I had on shorts and a t shirt and sandals. I didn’t mind the heat. Afterwards i had a big glass of ice water followed by a cheese and tomato sandwich and fruit. So I feel on track. Hoping my weight drops this week.3 -

Today is my sisters birthday. She passed suddenly in 2014, so I always spend today out in the garden doing the things we loved to do together. It’s healing to get my hands in the dirt, and it’s some me time.
Long weekend here in 🇨🇦 so an extra day to get in extra steps and sunshine.

My parent should be arriving today so I need to get to the apartment and get the bed made and ready for them. I'll probably make up something for them to eat and bring it up for them as well . I am glad they are here but it also comes with some stress as there are alot of expectations from them in regards to giving them help. In all reality my mom really needs someone to come and assist her with care but they are resistant mostly because they assume it should be their kids to help. The problem is the 2 other siblings don't help which leaves me and my sister , and my sister is iffy sometimes..
Going to get a good workout in this morning and get on with my day.

I'll definitely get a walk in today. I've kept up with the calorie counting this week. We're going to do Chipotle tonight, but I'm going to stay away from the chips. The popcorn is working so far to keep me away from cookies or other snacks.

Yesterday was jam packed with things to get done but then I don't feel like I got much of anything accomplished- ever have those days?
Got my workout in and ended up doing intervals and strength training - I had really good energy so I figured why not .. by the end of my upper body workout though, I was dead.. shaky arms and slightly nauseated.. I refueled and got on with my day.
Had a busy active afternoon with yardwork and housework so the slight uptick given the amount of muscle soreness I have at the moment (it almost hurts to type..lol) is not surprising.. Today heavy rains are forecasted again.. so it will be an inside day.

ok so I am back at the bottom end of the plateau. Hoping to break through before end of May. Am being really diligent with the calorie counting, the fibre, and the exercise.
Oh and @HappyDonkey75 I LOVE what you said about keeping the old lady away!! Haha that is my new favourite expression. I’ve never heard of NIC shots but will look into it.2
