Im not getting any younger…

Hello, I’m new to MyFitnessPal. I am 45 years old and as of late have really been feeling “old”. So last week I said to myself all’s I need is a little motivation. So I had went and bought a bike, so I can start looking and hopefully feeling better about myself. Yesterday I went on a 3.5 mile ride and I felt great and thought ‘Oh Im going to feel that threw my legs tomorrow’. My legs were on fire. I literally haven’t done much in a while, it’s depressing. But, I know I just started. I think, no, I know its time to start because Im not getting any younger and if I can go from laying in bed all day to eating healthy and getting some exercise, then its a good start. My friend is doing this with me and she cooked a wonderful meal tonight salmon over rice with green beans, never new I even liked salmon. So im opening up to new things and I hope I can keep this up then I have reached my main goal. Motivation is really all that I need. Someone saying “you can do it or get up off that bed and go on a bike ride”. I know there’s more people on here that know what I mean, and I’d like to hear your opinion or thoughts about how or what motivates you.

Your not old. You're still very young 45. I'm the youngest of 4. 41. Old is our parents in there 70 close to 80s. That's old. No offense to the 70 yr old who read this . You're still extremely young. The thought of life is having that mind control. To lead us to positive thoughts in the right direction. Some foods we eat are caused to make us feel depressed about life and our age. Thats for the doctors to make money off us. My suggestion thinking positive. Positive thoughts. And ditch the unhealthy foods, but when you have children that grave those sugar snacking habits. Its difficult to stop the sugar addiction. laying in bed all day sound relaxing. But is it really fun? Only if you have someone laying in bed with you it can be really fun, and possibly a great workout. To make your self feel younger. Stay busy and focus on hobbies/ activities. Instead of laying in bed. Make the bed. Clean up the room. Than lay on your made bed. And think yes I was motivated to do that. I been going to the gym with my 71 yr old mother. She's has motivated me to get back to working on myself. Than when I go back to my parents house to hang out. Mother still stays busy. Cleaning up, or making dinner. Me asking if she wants my help.

    Thoughts: your not old. You're

very young. Don't give up on your self. Self motivation can be difficult , but try to focus on staying busy.

I'm going to go make my bed. Than some breakfast. Enjoy your fitness journey and don't forget your not old. You're still young. Don't give up!
