    Thank you @quiltingjaine 🌸

5/25-138-Took my dad and friend to the casino which was a three hour drive. Spent two nights there and ate some things I shouldn’t but got a lot of steps in. Back home and back on track.

Want to be able to be consistent this round

    5/21 170 Here we go 💃🏻

    5/22 170.4 ⬆️

    5/23 168.8 ⬇️⬇️🤷🏻‍♀️

5/24 168.2 ⬇️ Maybe it is going to stick? 🙂

5/25 168.8 ⬆️ 3 Bud light and a bottled margarita last night 🤬 Over the course of 5 hours but too much. Feel like yuck this morning. Holding on to that feeling when I am tempted to do this again 🙅🏻‍♀️

    Background

    SW 293.5 6/19/24
    CW 247.3 (5/20/25 after a weekend traveling)
    UGW 183 (5’10”)
    Calorie goal - 1600
Exercise goal - 3x weekly runs (finishing up a 9 week couch to 5k program)

    Day One 5/21/25
    Weight: 244.9

    Day Two 5/22/25

    Weight: 243.1

    Day Three 5/23/25

    Weight: 242.8

    Day Four 5/24/25

    Weight: 242.1

Oh man I overdid it! Was going great for the day right up until my husband made dinner and dished me up a portion. I did the calories after and wow it was more than I should have eaten! Learned the same lesson you did, @TheBugaloos log and then eat! It was my first day in my last week of the couch to 5k program I’ve been doing for the last 2 months and although it was my worst pace yet, I didn’t quit at any point and that is my greater goal anyway! Lots of steps in today so hoping that offsets the extra calories. AF arrived today so that could affect things as well 🤪

    05/23-193.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 195.0)

05/24-192.2- (Trend Weight: 194.7) It is an American Holiday weekend which usually means multiple days of food for various reasons from the BBQ’s to shopping and dining out. I will have to work hard so that the scale weight doesn’t escalate in the coming days It will help that my son is away in Philadelphia this weekend and staying in New Jersey to see the heavy metal concerts going on. He’s a huge Metallica fan and Metal is not my thing. Luckily my oldest and her hubby are fans and could invite him to go. I’m glad to see him getting out. Now I just have to contend with my skinny, teeny tiny little foodie daughter and DGS. I may lose a little of my progress but hopefully nothing I can’t get back to by the end of our challenge week. I woke up extra hungry today which always happens after a nice drop on the scale so I am already on the defense to keep things mindful and in control. It’s time to drink some water and just breathe! Enjoy your Saturday everyone! Stay safe!

🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/25-193.4- (Trend Weight: 194.6) Easy go, Easy Come. I went out-of-town shopping and practiced OMAD with lunch out in the city. Snacks last night were a little overboard in quantity. Overall I was way up there in carbs and over in calories but not too bad. I wasn’t hungry at my normal dinner time so skipping it probably helped. DD is working for the rest of the weekend so that may have been the big food splurge since the other kids have traveled from Michigan to Philadelphia for the mega concert (5 days trip, total). I hope so. There will be enough BBQ’s this summer. I’m still feeling a lot less bloated and much better in my clothes. I want to hang on to this feeling!

5/21  132.5 DH says we need to go back to the gym. MEH!

5/22  133.0 Fried chicken at community bingo last night. Worst chicken EVER! Tough and rubbery, least amount of meat and too much breading. **DH resigned from the HOA board this morning.**

5/23  135.0  Yesterday we went to Chili’s with friends. Small salad, cheeseburger, removed half of bun - we were quite cramped because big friend ordered chips and with plates, water glasses and soft drink glasses there was little room to maneuver. Brought home my fries - DH will heat and eat them later probably with his leftover fajitas.

5/24  134.0  WOW, I slept until 8:30! That’s unheard of!!!  DH and big friend went to Golden Corral yesterday so DH still has leftovers.  I had 2 fried eggs with onion and cheese, bacon and NO TOAST! I had had some me made pretzel bites with my morning coffee.

5/25  135.5  No explanation! The only thing I ate was 5 oz of Burnt Ends!

    Hello MFP Friends 🌞

I've made it to another round which for me is a great accomplishment. 🤞 Hoping that I complete this round on time each day.

Right now I'm a total scatter brain for a variety of reasons. While I need to do so much more I'm keeping my goals simple:

    Post on time daily

    Measure body fat weekly

Eat "protein first" according to the rules of my "Diet for Life"

Accept stress relief wherever I find it.

Under promise and over perform? Who knows. Stay POSITIVE. I may surprise myself.

    Rnd 297 SW - 157 lbs

5/21- 159.0 Still behaving badly. Poor sleep leads to all night grazing or dare I admit, binge eating. I despise that word however it's used. The bottom line is a loss of control.

Today needs to be busy. The challenge is will I get things done or will I have regrets later. Good 😇 Vibrations. Let's DO This!

    5/22 - 159.4 lbs

If this keeps up I'll need a category for "regress" instead of progress. Better but not good has become so old it stinks.

    5/23 - 159.2 lbs

Tanita scale : 18.5% fat / 59.3% water / 22.2% lean - How I wish body composition per my scale was accurate. I know better than to enjoy the feel good moment. Measurements work best for me.

Water retention for this long is peculiar. My norm is around forty and up to forty-five on a bad day. I'm watching my blood pressure and eating foods that are naturally diuretic. If I don't drain over the weekend I may have to give in and see a doctor. Best to confirm there's nothing unusual going on.

All day yesterday I was insanely hungry. Fortunately I had nothing easy to nibble and was too lazy to fix anything.

I've pondered how someone who lives between more fat and less fat, never sticking at slim, manages to quell voracious physical hunger with a few ounces of hot tap water. Does lazy really beat hungry? 😉 I need to be more lazy.

5/24 - Missed a day 🙃 So much for on time.

    5/25 - 157.4 lbs

    Tanita scale : 18.5% fat / 55.7% water / 26.8% lean

Sipping and nibbling potassium rich foods all day since Friday. Yesterday I was full of liquid I missed my weigh in. There's no way I'm getting on the scale on such a full load. The water weight is coming off. I can see the edema draining in spite of my falling face first into the carbs for two days in a row.

Thumbs up on 5k program. I've been on podrunner's version for ages. The music isn't my thing but it gets the job done.

FYI About Ruining Programs MFP Friends: You can do many programs INDOORS without a treadmill. Keep step with the timing and you've run the approximate distance. Inside runs won't win you marathons but they can help you meet your fitness goals.

5/25: Home from DB and DSIL, and got right on the scale- I'm OK with this when my options were dictated by their house:-) The spike was mostly because of dinner out, but a big reminder that I'm drifting upward and can't keep doing that.

It's been 13 months since his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and he's been a brave patient, but I'm seeing the toll; he's weaker every time I see him. Every day with him is precious to me now, while we still have some time to say the things to each other that are most important. I'm aware that we won't have much more time together, so it's wonderful that we had time alone, just the two of us.

    It was a good visit.
