    5/21 - DNW

    5/22 - DNW

    5/23 - DNW

    5/24 - DNW

    5/25 - DNW

    5/26 - 171.4

    5/27 - 171.0

5/28 - 170.3 - Happy with that progress. It is slower coming off than I'd like and I'm wondering if I did truly gain some weight and it's not all just bloating. TOM is well over and all that bloat is gone but I'm still feeling puffy. Probably also related to not having dedicated meals since I'm doing a lot of improvising and it's not always the best/healthiest/cleanest even if it does fit macros. I've started a meal plan for next week - I have dinners decided which we all eat on. I planned out lunches for BF which I'll input my dinners in my log and see if I can partake in those same lunches while meeting macros (adjusting breakfast accordingly) or if I'll need to find/make my own lunches. I think having that will be immensely beneficial for me to feel like I'm back on track. The recent rain and near-flooding has made it impossible for the boys to get out to the land as planned today so we are having my planned dinner afterall. Fortunately the boys told me before lunch so I could adjust. I'm over on protein and carbs a bit but I'm under in fats and within 5 calories of my goal so I'll take it. Today is the last day of my MacroFactor "hold" where after my break. Turns out they do a 3 days hold where you input your weight and log food for 3 days but it doesn't adjust your expenditure and doesn't count those days towards any macro adjustments during the next check in to allow for any fluctuations that occur after restarting logging. That's nice. Tomorrow things begin to count again but I'm still mentally logging and adjusting as if it counts now so that I'm not all out of sorts tomorrow onward.

    Rnd 297 SW: 190lbs

My scale only goes by 0.5lbs so I try not to get discouraged along the way!

5/21 - 190lbs - I’ve been accidentallyintermittent fasting due to work lol I feel great from it but the scale is staying the same for now.
5/22 - 189lbs … maybe it’s helping! But I ate a starchy dinner late tonight so I’m thinking tomorrow will be back up
5/23 - 188.5lbs - ok I take that back! I had a really hard time not binging on things that not only were unhealthy, but also that my body just couldn’t handle due to sensitivities- I ended up swelling up so much and couldn’t stop the cycle. Seeing any kind of progress is definitely helpful to keep it going. This time last year I was 169lbs!
5/24 - 187 lbs, I think my cortisol levels are coming back down finally
    5/25 - 187.5lbs
    5/26 - vacation
    5/27 - vacation
    5/28 - 187lbs

First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!

be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    EW Rnd 296 142.2

    SW Rnd 297 141.4

5/21 141.4 – (trend 141.2) 6.7 miles walked. So here we go again!! And I know I am repeating myself, but I want to make this round count!

    5/22 140.6 - (trend 141.1) 10.25 miles walked.

5/23 139.4 – (trend 140.9) Amazed with these numbers, just shows me what I can do when I eat consistently healthily; I should know this by now! 9.02 miles walked.

5/24 DNW- away for the bank holiday weekend.

5/25 DNW - yesterday's weather was forecast to be a washout, so we traveled to Vyne House, a nearby National Trust property with lots of connections to Jane Austin. Weather defied the forecast & was dry, managed a 7 mile walk in and around the grounds as well as the house.

    5/26 DNW - 8.77 miles walked yesterday.

5/27 140.8 – (trend 140.7) 5 miles walked before we packed up and travelled home.

5/28 140.8 – (trend 140.7) just 4.85 miles walked, yesterday was a wash out, but I did meet up with all my DS’s for lunch at a nearby garden centre.

5/29 141.6 (trend 140.9) oops !! Managed to get 6.95 miles walked in between heavy rain showers.

5/28 6 hr night 💤. Patiently waiting for seed oil jolt to dissipate tho I read yesterday can stay in your system for over TWO YEARS. Now that is SCARY… Supposed to rain all day which will be tough for us moving out final stuff from our property. We’re supposed to close next Wednesday, but that’s the day we’re leaving town so we’ll sign early. One day soon, I’ll share the story behind this property 💔❤️‍🩹 (slowly healing) … . I missed 🚶‍♀️ (7k) & cals 1300, ✅IF still a solid day. Continuing 💦 & on target for macros… so glad hubby is home! I will finish this round strong!

PS we celebrated a “minor” victory… At least a step… The hospital is now filing a NEW conditional use permit & site plan. We can’t stop it totally but we have changed it. We’ll see how much within the next few months.  See story below… And yes, that’s my backside… I politely asked the reporter for a better view next time!

This fight with City Hall /Hospital disrupted my momentum… I was unable (on me!) to continue 🏋️‍♂️🚶‍♀️ on a regular basis, but I would do it all over again. I learned so much about me and how my mindset or not and how it’s connected to my body and health. My mom was a fighter - passed on to me. 💪🏻

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 297
    May 21 - 30, 2025

    SW: 130.2

5/21 – 129.4 What’s the expression “a day late and a dollar short”, well the 129ish showed up a day late. But better than never. Being back home and having more obligations is really making exercise a struggle. While I am not accomplishing what I planned or hoped, I am not allowing myself to just plain give up/give in and hoping to fine my rhythm. Calories can be good as long as I don’t let my head get in the way. Hopes for this round. Stay in the 129s or maybe even peek at 128. Tomorrow, I start living in TWO states MA and ME until September, but I am already pre-planning meals in an effort to keep this all going.

Oh and BTW, I am NOT having fun with this MOG dress shopping. Have bought 18 dresses so far, and none are the “one”. BUT I am learning/remembering what looks good on me. This photos of dresses on 5’10” size 4 models are really deceiving. I need to remember that too. Yesterday, I tried on a dress with a bid bow on the shoulder that came across like a pagant sash. OMG, I looked like a poorly wrapped x-mas present.

5/22 – 128.6 Is this my reward for behaving well yesterday?? I’m starting to get closer to the weights I hung out at for over a year (plus or minus 125). I just looked back at my old history number. It was right around now, last year, that I last saw a number in this range and started my long slow gain. So if I don’t return to that behavior this year (from now to 2026), that is better than a year ago. Oh, and I did get my walk in yesterday. Today, heading to Maine by 10:30. Got groceries to do, house to clean, packing and remembering what the heck I need up there. There is a small gym on the ground floor, so I might see if I can get that to entice me. :)

5/23 – 129.4 While yesterday was nice to see, I think this morning is more logical, and I am cool with that.

5/24 – 128.6 Nice! It came back. If this number as good as if gets for this round, I will be happy. Yesterday, I tried to use the condo gym, 5 minutes in there was a phone call I had to deal with ( I am the interface for pretty number everything for me mom). So that ended that. Went to the movies last night, Mission Impossible Final Reconning, I bought a bottle of water, and swiped 4 handfuls of popcorn from hubby’s bucket. Finished the day 50 calories over target. I consider that a success these days. Since the scale agrees, all is good. Going to try and look for more dresses today, at the Maine Mall. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

5/25 – 128.0 Not sure how this is possible, and the scale actually blinked 127.8 for a second. While I like seeing this, IMO the odds of me finished this round at such a number is slim. I did have some nice success dress shopping too! I think I am getting closer to finding that “right dress”. Calories good, but no exercise. I need to fix the no exercise part, but time is just not in my favor at the moment.

5/26 – 128.6 So yesterday was a tease, but that’s ok. Calories were great yesterday. No formal exercise, AGAIN, but did keep busy helping DH with the boat. Trying to get ready for the season as ocean boating in Maine is not a long season.

5/27 – 129.2 I honestly planned to skip the scale this morning as after a day of reneged take out pizza, cleaning and packing all day, and driving home alone with my daughter’s two cats, I did a bender. It’s over. It’s a new day, and I am back on track. As long as I end the round with a 128, I will be happy!

5/28 – 129.6 This is not amusing, but it does demonstrate those bounces in weight that have no reason. Of course I mush preferred the unexplained 128.0 rather than the 129.6. Anyhow, other than continued lack of exercise, yesterday was perfect.

5/29 – 128.8 Can I see this tomorrow morning as well? Yesterday was excellent (except lack of exercise). I sounds a bit like a broken record lately.

    5/30 -

So lovely to be there as a guest, I did take some good natured teasing about not being able to stay away even though I “retired”.

Today has a bunch of running around to finish projects here and there but nothing terrible. I better get started!

    I can:

    ✅ Show up/post daily
✅ Stay consistent/Don't change the plan
✅ Push through the hard moments
    ✅ Make progress—physically, mentally, emotionally.
    ✅ Start the momentum

    Measurable Daily Goals
    🚶🏽- Closing my rings M-S Move = 700/Exercise = 45/Stand = 12)
    🍎- Tracking/Under Calorie Budget (~ 1650 ~)
    ✅ - Macros - Protein (75g - 100g) Carbs < 75g
    💧- Water - 50 oz minimum
    🚫 - No Wine
    ⬇️- Downward trend

    🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️

SW RND 297 ~ 232.2 Goal this round 227.0 or less than started, which ever comes first

    5/21 231.8 ~ and we're off!!
5/22 231.2 ~ 🍎✅💧⬇️ ~ Missed my move ring by 36 calories…. I did finish my May Challenge on Apple Watch. It was relatively easy, Stand Goal X 20. Weather’s been yucky but I do want to get outside and walk today.
5/23 231.2 ~ Good mental day but not a good "health" day. Didn't close my rings, or consume, my water, had wine AND was over on calories…..ready for today, it will be better. My goal is to get through this holiday weekend with minimal damage and then FOCUS on the prize!
5/24 231.2 ~ 🚶🏽🍎✅🚫 Short on water but everything else was good. Did a VR workout for 45 minutes and then walked for another 30.
5/25 230.0 ~🍎✅🚫⬇️ Well that was a nice surprise. Didn’t close my rings and didn’t get my water in… Spent the day with my grandson so it was a busy day!
5/26 230.6 ~ 💧🚫 fair. Didn’t track. Busy family day. Same on tap for today but hoping to get a bit more movement in. I’m cooking a ton of stuff today…but plan is to eat it through out the rest of the the week…worst thing is ribs and italian sausage and will eat those today, then some chicken breast and lean burgers. Oh, I forgot about the sides.. well try to keep those at a minimum and KEEP MOVING!! 😂
5/27 231.4 ~ 🚶🏽yea, well….I didn't track….not that it was crazy or anything, but just enjoyed the day. Time to get moving. Other than weight, I took one measurement this morning…it's really all I need! :)
    5/28 231.4 ~🚶🏽🍎✅💧
5/29 233.2 ~ 🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫 Did not see THAT coming. I guess those two non tracked days caught up with me. Assuming salt and water retention…..not going to worry about it…. Yesterday was actually a good day! Walked on the treadmill in the am, did a boxing/dance routine on my VR in the afternoon. Calories in 1668. A little more effort today and a few less calories…
    5/30

    Welcome back @Geminihuntress !

@judefit1 ~ your consistency is awesome!! Love it!

    @TheBugaloos ~ stay the course!!!

"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: Someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.” —Tom Bodett

Choose progress over perfection and stay the course.
Honor my body through movement, nourishment, and belief.

    Female 5’1” Age 75 years

    HWE 197.0 (2/2008)

    Weight on 1/17/17 174.5

OGW 137 (set by WW 2008, WW goal 1985 was 126) UGW was 125 (HS weight)

    1/1/25  139.5

    Comments pertain to previous day

    Rnd 297 SW 133.0

5/21  132.5 DH says we need to go back to the gym. MEH!

5/22  133.0 Fried chicken at community bingo last night. Worst chicken EVER! Tough and rubbery, least amount of meat and too much breading. **DH resigned from the HOA board this morning.**

5/23  135.0  Yesterday we went to Chili’s with friends. Small salad, cheeseburger, removed half of bun - we were quite cramped because big friend ordered chips and with plates, water glasses and soft drink glasses there was little room to maneuver. Brought home my fries - DH will heat and eat them later probably with his leftover fajitas.

5/24  134.0  WOW, I slept until 8:30! That’s unheard of!!!  DH and big friend went to Golden Corral yesterday so DH still has leftovers.  I had 2 fried eggs with onion and cheese, bacon and NO TOAST! I had had some me made pretzel bites with my morning coffee.

5/25  135.5  No explanation! The only thing I ate was 5 oz of Burnt Ends!

5/26  133.0  Today is the Memorial Day “picnic” I’m planning to take my own brisket from Jesse Rae’s which I will heat in the microwave. That’s way better than “pulled pork” simmering in sweet sauce. Flag raising at 8 a.m.

5/27   135.0 super salty In-n-Out protein style burger at early lunch before we went to the picnic, didn’t take my brisket because I wasn’t hungry. Tasted the egg salad (meh) and one little shred of pork - too sweet. I did have a small bowl of lettuce with a drizzle of OG bottled dressing, 5 strawberries and a piece of cake from which I discarded the frosting. DH ate his egg salad and pulled pork as sliders and originally said the pork didn’t taste sweet to him but when he tried mine without bun he admitted it was too sweet!

5/28  133.5 I promised my friend I would meet her at the pool for water fitness. I really don’t want to go. Muscle cramp in left calf has left residual pain.

5/29  133.5  I had a couple of weird muscle cramps(?) near the end of the class yesterday but was pleased that I did almost the entire 45 minute fast paced class after almost zero activity for months. (TMI success this morning resulted in 0.5# loss which is not reflected in this weigh-in.)

Luckily my trend weight is still going down which truly is the big picture. I’m going to focus on that and plan an excellent day. Yesterday was excellent until night time snacks. Better planning!

🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/29-194.2 💠 - (Trend Weight: 194.3) No change in my eating plan yesterday as the meals were good but the snacks went overboard. Therefore, not surprisingly, no change in my weight. Luckily my trend weight is holding steady. The poor thing is giving me a chance to behave properly and stick to my guns. Perhaps today is the day that I won’t disappoint.

5/28 - 168.4 - This was a delight to see! I've been sticking to 100oz of water and aiming to hit my macros. I did adjust my goal today. I had my MacroFactor app set to a goal of 155. I updated that to 160 and I think it did an overwrite of the 3 day buffer from Monday-Wednesday this week and lowered my calories and carbs a bit. I'm not 15g over on carbs for the day but I'm good on protein and fats and I have a bit more than 150 calories left in the budget so I'm content with that. Especially considering I spent a long time trying to figure out a meal plan for today to get me close to goal and then ended up having my goal changed. Oops? That's fine, it'll allow me to input planned dinners for next week and determine if I need different lunches than the ones I've already planned for BF or not. Usually if I grocery shop Fridays, I'm estimating based on my "old" macros since they adjust on Fridays and I don't have enough time to switch meal plans before I want to get to the store (early before it gets too hectic plus I'm already in town for the gym). I'm holding out hope I can see some progress going forward!

    Hello MFP Friends 🌞

I've made it to another round which for me is a great accomplishment. 🤞 Hoping that I complete this round on time each day.

Right now I'm a total scatter brain for a variety of reasons. While I need to do so much more I'm keeping my goals simple:

    Post on time daily

    Measure body fat weekly

Eat "protein first" according to the rules of my "Diet for Life"

Accept stress relief wherever I find it.

Under promise and over perform? Who knows. Stay POSITIVE. I may surprise myself.

    Rnd 297 SW - 157 lbs

5/21- 159.0 Still behaving badly. Poor sleep leads to all night grazing or dare I admit, binge eating. I despise that word however it's used. The bottom line is a loss of control.

Today needs to be busy. The challenge is will I get things done or will I have regrets later. Good 😇 Vibrations. Let's DO This!

    5/22 - 159.4 lbs

If this keeps up I'll need a category for "regress" instead of progress. Better but not good has become so old it stinks.

    5/23 - 159.2 lbs

Tanita scale : 18.5% fat / 59.3% water / 22.2% lean - How I wish body composition per my scale was accurate. I know better than to enjoy the feel good moment. Measurements work best for me.

Water retention for this long is peculiar. My norm is around forty and up to forty-five on a bad day. I'm watching my blood pressure and eating foods that are naturally diuretic. If I don't drain over the weekend I may have to give in and see a doctor. Best to confirm there's nothing unusual going on.

All day yesterday I was insanely hungry. Fortunately I had nothing easy to nibble and was too lazy to fix anything.

I've pondered how someone who lives between more fat and less fat, never sticking at slim, manages to quell voracious physical hunger with a few ounces of hot tap water. Does lazy really beat hungry? 😉 I need to be more lazy.

5/24 - Missed a day 🙃 So much for on time.

    5/25 - 157.4 lbs

    Tanita scale : 18.5% fat / 55.7% water / 26.8% lean

Sipping and nibbling potassium rich foods all day since Friday. Yesterday I was full of liquid I missed my weigh in. There's no way I'm getting on the scale on such a full load. The water weight is coming off. I can see the edema draining in spite of my falling face first into the carbs for two days in a row.

    5/26 - 156.6 lbs

Water retention has improved over the weekend. Hope to be all good within a couple of days. It's up to me to behave myself by avoiding the causes.

I'm in the middle of another round of misbehaving. Admitting to this, yes. Owning this, no. I've had an unfortunate period of multiple blips. Each had been discarded and replaced with good behavior. Repeatedly.

Periodically I backslide and struggle to find my footing. Somehow I always find my way back. I'll regain my good sense and ditch the nonsense for good.

    5/27 - 153.4 lbs

It's body composition day. I haven't taken full body measurements yet but I want to post this on time. I've already miss a day this round.

    Tanita scale: 26.7% fat / 51.7% water / 21.6% lean calculation / Category - Overweight

YMCA calculation: Body fat 23% / Fat mass 35 lbs / Lean mass 119 lbs / Body Fat Category - Fit

DoD calculation: Body fat 27.9% (max 36%) / Body fat in weight 43 lbs / Lean body weight 111 lbs / Category - under maximum (I use the under forty guidelines for DoD. My goal is to be fit rather than "fit for my age". )

I've confirmed this crazy water retention is my allergy to conifirs. After handling pine lumber I was sipping benadryl and watching the edema expand. I'm grateful there is nothing cardio pulmonary happening after spending decades on prevention. It's time to find a local allergist and add back a few preventive meds.

Calories are fine but food quality is poor. Active but not working my targeted cardio and strength routine. Since February I've regressed significantly.

Knowing what to do and actually getting it done has been frustrating. I'm working on self care that is firm and kind without coddeling myself and accepting excuses.

    5/28 - 154.0 lbs

The day began well then it slowly fell apart. Quick food are to blame. I need to keep a few full meals in the fridge and freezer. Portioned, home cooked, and ready to heat & eat.

I'm at my best on two meals a day. Maintenance made easy coupled with never buying a larger size (measured not by the labels). 😲 Another good habit to be reclaimed. It's time to DO Well rather than explain what's needed. 🤩

    5/29 - 154.4 lbs

Water weight is under control at last. It's been several months since I last weighed & measured at my lightest time of day. Most likely, I'm 12 to 14 lbs overweight today vs 7 lbs a few months ago. No more moving backwards!

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 297 (my 227th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.

    Goals for every round;

First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!

to weigh less at the end of the round than the start

be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    image-295abfd3ee9f7-b9ed.png

    Spoiler Warning

I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

5/30 142 – (trend 141) 4.07 miles walked – drove 60 miles to meet up with DD & DGS for the day, steps were obtained whilst waiting for then to arrive! Not proud of the last 3 days, I’ve just gone ferrel!! At least I’ve got a 0.2 pound loss, but it seems that this is becoming a pattern as the last 3 rounds of the previous round I ran amuck too ☹. Maybe I should look at just a 7 day round lol ! I’ll just move on and keep trying.

    👍👍This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE & I AM WHAT I EAT!!!!! 👍👍.

    Highest weight 242 lbs Lowest weight 142 lbs (2019) Re-start JGMTD Feb 2024 @ 204 lbs

    5/24 174.0

    5/27 174.4
    5/28 173.0
    5/29 172.8

5/30 174.4 I ate two cupcakes for lunch and went into a sugar coma on my couch for an hour instead of getting housework done.

Insanely good cupcakes made by a local baker from the market. I order one and she always gives me a bonus that she needs “feed back on”. I know that I could tell her, really just the one. Or stop buying a cupcake to start.

But I’m not going to. I’m a joyful girl!

It’s a good thing Market season coincides with my most active season!

Today kicks off my big estate sale. I let an early bird go through last night when he came to pick up something I had posted on line. He kept walking around telling me “you could get so much more for this” and that my prices are too low.

It’s a gosh darn glorified garage sale!!! I want people to walk out with their arms loaded with treasure. I want them to think they just got the best deal ever. I want resellers to make money.
I don’t care if I could make more. I want the house empty.

Besides I made my bag on the gold!

I better get to boot camp, it’s going to be one heck of a day!

    Hey there MFP Friends 😊

This morning I'm making a quick incomplete post to ensure I don't miss a second day this round. No weigh in yet because I'm way too full at the moment. The artificial gain will be psychologically earth shattering although intellectually I'm aware of the cause. Rather than mentally subtract three glasses of water and a frozen breakfast sandwich I'll post an update.

Yesterday was another bad binge day. Potassium rich bananas were awesome. However, I was like a monkey on crack and ate the entire bunch over night watching amine as my ancestors looked on in shame.

The one positive is the stubborn edema is completely relieved. All of the natural fruit sugar with a few oreos added in are having a corpulence building party as I write. I'll need to double up on the podrunner.com routine for a few days.

Till later my peeps! Great SUCSESS to us all. "Fist🤜🤛Bump"
