My name is Donna. I am 65 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5β 5β tall. My highest weight was 253. I would like to lose a total of about 100 pounds and have been working on it for too many years (since 2018).
I will weigh on Wednesdays, but also on the 1st and last day of every month in order to get an account for the entire month. I will adjust my goals each week (need to lose more or need to lose less) in order for the math to add up to the 30 pound loss by the end. Iβm being optimistic at this point as we are just starting.

Not uncommon since I am a heart patient and it often pools around my ankles and abdomen. I have a prescribed water pill for when that happens that I will have to take today, like it or not. It makes me pee every 10 minutes for hours and hours so I guess Iβm stuck at home today. Anyway, I have two birthday celebrations and a holiday in the 1st week of July. I hope it doesnβt set me back too far!

π π π π π 07/01 β188.8 β (Trend Weight β 190.4) Well I was certainly hoping for a bigger drop than 0.2 but I guess slow progress is still progress. It was a very good dietary day filled with good choices and I worked out on the bike for 30 minutes (2 sessions of 15 minutes). Intentional exercise is something I really need to keep working in. Today is my son that lives at home and my first DGSβs birthdays. We will be going out to dinner out of town tonight. Dinner wonβt be until about 7:30. Iβve been sticking to my guns and carefully choosing what Iβm eating this afternoon. My son is turning 29 and my grandson 19. Letβs make July a HUGE impact on our goals! Letβs go get it, my friends. Itβs ours for the taking!

Just checking in. Start weight on June 28 was 155.0. Today I am 152.0. The first few lbs are always the easiest. Hoping I do ok on the 4th of July π¬
My overall goal is 5 lbs per month so I can get back to 125 by New Year's Eve. :)

I didnβt do too badly at the restaurant but for the rest of the night at homeβ¦.humph. To say I was like a pig in a pigβs trough wouldnβt be 100% accurate. More like a wild boar in a pigβs trough who hasnβt seen food in weeks! Anyway, I really blew it with my self-sabotage. I know thatβs what it was because I continued eating even when I was so full it was trying to come back up! Disgusting, I know. Thatβs a true binge! Iβm grateful the scale wasnβt higher. Iβm already working on a much better and healthier day today which I hope will show up for me tomorrow. I'm always so disappointed in myself and my relationship with food during these times. It's a continual battle and sometimes I give in but I never give up!

Scale is up today but I had a heavy meal with alcoholic beverages late last night; so I assume I should clear most that over the next few days.
Today I declared my "Independence from Alcohol"! I've tried this before, but this time, I'm going to make it stick! Empty calories? NO nutrition? Negative impact on blood pressure and other health measurements? Expensive? Who needs it? Not me! This one small change should make consistently losing one or more pounds per week much easier. So here I go!

07/09 β 190.4 β (Trend Weight β 190.5) A tough week which included a 4 day holiday celebration for me and family which immediately followed 2 birthdays. All excuses aside, there have been a few binges, lack of sleep, slowing exercise and lack of water. I have a lot to fix.
π π π π π 07/16β-191.0 β (Trend Weight: 191.1) I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son. Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. Iβll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. Theyβve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and Iβve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. Itβs right in front of me, I see it clearly. Iβve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! I have no excuses for the uptick of 0.6 in weight this week in both my scale weight and my trend weight. My only observation is that my meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy. From saving myself. Itβs sink or swim!

As a HUGE Superman fan, I must say I was pretty disappointed. I must say, though, that I loved the actors they chose to play Superman and Lois Lane.
I took 3 GC age 19, 17 and 8. I thought it needed a little more back story for new potential fans and kids. I thought it was full of actions, which is good, but maybe too much action and not enough Clark Kent.
I don't think I care to ever see it again, which is sad. I hope for something better in the future and it would be great if they use these same actors again, that was the only redeeming part IMO.

My name is Donna. I am 65 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5β 5β tall. My highest weight was 253. I would like to lose a total of about 100 pounds and have been working on it for too many years (since 2018).
I will weigh on Wednesdays, but also on the 1st and last day of every month in order to get an account for the entire month. I will adjust my goals each week (need to lose more or need to lose less) in order for the math to add up to the 30 pound loss by the end. Iβm being optimistic at this point as we are just starting.

π π π π π 07/23 β 189.6 β (Trend Weight β 189.7) I really feel like this scale weight is inaccurate because of my travel yesterday to the hospital (160 miles each way) for 7 yr old DGSβ tonsil and adenoid surgery. So much sitting and all restaurant foods. I reached as low as 186.8 this week just prior to the travel. I donβt think I gained nearly 3 pounds overnight so a lot of this is probably water weight. A girl can hopeβ¦β¦. Be Gone With You Treacherous Sodium-Induced Fluid Retention!!!! π£
