Restarting, after a long absence... I've found success on MFP and this group in the past and ready to do it again. I was slender and fit my entire life until menopause hit in my early 40s and have been struggling with my weight ever since. I will be doing well with my fitness and lifestyle choices and then either life stresses or recently injuries cause a set back and I gain 20 lbs. (or more) super quick. This will be my 4th time in 8 years to lose this weight. Determined to make it the last time I have to do this!
2018 SW = 172.0 lbs. End Weight = 141.5 lbs.
2022 SW = 193.9 lbs. End Weight = 143.6 lbs.

7/22: 170.4 lbs. Yikes! Back from vacation and that number stings a little…clearly did not diet or make the best choices but I also didn't overeat or binge. Hoping this is not a "real" number and that it drops fairly quickly!

7/26: 168.4 lbs. My brain was not ready to go back to "dieting" after vacation mode, so I took 3 days off from weighing & tracking and instead practiced intuitive eating…dropped 2 of the vacation pounds - so that's a start! Back to plan today with tracking and eating to my goal. I thinking easing back in, was the right choice, as I feel really strong today in my confidence to reach my goals. Hope to be back at my Round 301 starting weight by the end of this round.
7/27: 167.0 lbs. Slept in this morning, so my weigh-in was later than normal, so can possibly expect tomorrow's number to naturally fluctuate a little higher than this. Yesterday was good for tracking and food choices + back on limiting alcohol and plan to keep that going until a social event on the 5th but will adjust if something comes up before that. Little movement yesterday other than mini golf with the family and grocery shopping, so need some intentional movement today.

It has kind of went by the wayside since Owen had his surgery. Handyman is supposed to arrive today to begin pulling up kitchen flooring so that he can get old layers of subflooring out, level them and redo them to match the height of my primary bedroom space so floors can be matching and reconnected. It is going to be a mess here for awhile again. It’s always tough when it’s the kitchen and dining areas. And my privacy (for exercising) will be limited again. Humph….
💥💥💥 07/27-186.2 ✅ (Trend Weight: 188.9) Another nice drop for me but I honestly think I’ve had too many days of calories way lower than goal. I’ve just been a bit too busy and tired to eat while watching DGS after surgery. I’ve been feeling very light-headed. Not in my diabetic way but different. I think I need a day of more calories. At least to goal if not a bit higher. However, I don’t know that it will be today. I don’t want to just increase the calories with junk and garbage. I’ll put some thought into it. Soon though….. I just feel like someone handed me that ball and instinct told me to run with it. I also need sleep. Bad! I’ve seriously been getting either 2 hours or 3 hours for the past couple of days. I hope after DGS leaves tonight I can get to bed a little earlier and finally get some zzzz’s.

7/20 134.0 OMAD yesterday was Chapala’s chili rellenos omelet. I ate about 2/3 and 1/2 of the beans and rice as well as chips. And finished it for breakfast late this morning.
7/21 132.5 I got up late this morning and was reading messages and had to go to water fitness so I forgot to post. So here I am better late than never!

7/25 133.0 I guess yesterday was a good news day for several of us! I don’t think I’ve said anything, but in January, my retina specialist referred me to an eyelid specialist because she said there was a suspicious divot in my lower right eyelid and she wanted him to do a biopsy. I couldn’t get an appointment until April! He didn’t think it looked cancerous, gave me some drops yada yada used those went back in two weeks. He said it looked good. Come back in three months. Three months was yesterday and he said he can’t tell there was ever anything there. No biopsy, he believes it was a blocked tear duct and I’m good to go. I’ve been worrying about it ever since the retina specialist said do a biopsy. Maybe now I can get my act together. Eating was within reason. Had about 6 oz of 1800 Light Margarita after we got home.

7/24 - 295.1 shedding water and vacation week from the week prior, having said that if I hadn't resumed tracking I'm confident I'd still be gaining
7/25 - 296.2 tracked everything but having a knee issue that is impacting my movement.. The scale can't drop every day anyway!
7/26 - 297 no differences again yesterday, everything tracked, just riding the wave. Wondering if my leg pain is actually due to sciatica.
7/27 - 297.2 definitely exceeded my calorie goal yesterday but I did say no to wine with dinner which would have made it worse. I also tracked everything rather than throwing in the towel. Focusing on being in range today. We are on our boat for the day.

7/20 We celebrated my son's birthday with his high school friends and I had to get everything ready. We had fun but did have a bite of bday cookie. I had a good dinner but ate fries.
7/21 Today was I was feeling a little down. Coming off vacation and party planning I needed a day of nothing. I have some health issues and some tests are coming up so I took the time for scheduling of that and relaxing. I had bible study tonight. I did not exercise today. I have an early morning tomorrow for a health test and a dr appt. After that hope to get in gym time.
Hope I am doing this right. First time here.
7/22 I think I need to weigh myself in the morning not right after a rice meal. 😒 Today I had some dr appt. Everything showed up good. Thankful!. Then I came home and took a nap because I got up early and didn't sleep well. Then I took my dog with me to smoothie king and we did a little shopping. Came home to hubby having dinner. He is a keeper and then we took a long, sweaty humid walk. I came back and did some strength training.
7/23 Mahjong today. Excited to go and play.

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 303 (my 233rd).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

A little bit about me: I'm 33 years old, female, 160cm (5ft 2.5in) tall. I have a 2yo son who is so full of energy and keeps me eternally busy! I generally keep fit doing judo and walking my very mad spaniel. I have Crohn's disease and am pretty sure I'm currently flaring which mean I'm struggling with fatigue and nausea. I weigh wearing clothes so my actual weight fluctuates a lot, but I'm more concerned about trend.

7/21 - 81.1 - Uuuuuuugh. Yesterday was not good. I felt rough (still not feeling great today), I just ran out of spoons around lunchtime and just struggled through the rest of the day. Ended up with a takeaway for dinner and then just ate an entire chocolate egg left over from Easter just because it was there and I was feeling sad and tired. It wasn't even that good tbh. I'm still feeling pretty rubbish today. I don't think I have that many spoons to play with today either.
7/22 - DNW - Oooops, as I walked into the office this morning I realised that I did not step on the scales. Was sure it would have been high though as I finally made it to a Judo session last night! It's the first time in ages I've been training and not coaching, exciting! I mean my fatigue was hitting me hard and I almost didn't go, but I got there and told myself that I'd just get on the mat and see how the session went. Aaaand my knee wasn't great as there was lots of twisty motions in the session, but I was sensible and didn't do anything that made me worried. Nausea hit about half way through the session (I thought I had got past going to Judo and feeling sick sigh) but I still made it and I still moved my body in fun ways. Did get a chance to test out my shoulder too, still weak, but I don't think it's stopping me from doing my movements anymore so going forward I think I can count it as only having one injury (and one chronic illness) to worry about. Eating was fine for the day.
7/23 - 80.2 - Okay, well that's pretty okay. Yesterday wasn't a great day food wise. Aside from being STARVING at around 11:15 (too early for lunch, but too late for breakfast), someone brought cake into the office, and then someone else brought more cake into the office. Aside from that it was okay. Still practicing my "if I'm not hungry at dinner I'll just not eat it all" thing, as I almost just mindlessly ate all of my dinner (specifically the rice) that I wasn't that fussed about eating, but I caught myself and left the bit I didn't actually want. And I'm sure that made up for all that cake right? However I'm feeling pleased today as I've actually looked at trendweight and it's telling me that I'm sticking to my 0.25kg per week loss target. It's slow, but considering I'm flaring and injured, I kept my target low so I'm happy with this.
7/24 - 81.0 - Ugh, fluctuations I know, but I just want to be done with the 81s. I just got to keep reminding myself that the trend is still going down. Anyway yesterday was …. fine. Got more steps than normal but fatigue hit me hard in the afternoon. I was supposed to be working and honestly I did not get anywhere near as much as I wanted done. Actually went and had a micro nap at about 4ish. Eating was fine save for the coffee and cake I had to keep me going through the morning.

I think I need to reevaluate my goals for the next month or so (until our house move is sorted…hopefully), focusing on just getting the basics done and managing my symptoms over actively pushing for a scale loss.

I also have plans for the gym this evening. If everything goes according to plan I’ll get a little rest and hydrate early afternoon.My goal this week is make all of my yearly health appointments eye doctor, lady doctor, bone and joint for this elbow that won’t settle down, etc.
I will miss DH but I’m also planning to take advantage of the next two weeks. I’m giving myself the self care and trying to use some forethought in getting ahead of a few things that will free up space in my head.Maybe I’ll use that free space to focus on getting back into the 160’s before winter???

If it did not agree to post my goals-met for the previous day I would have failed them all yesterday. Especially the exercise. I managed to walk in the extreme heat and humidity yesterday ONLY to meet my goal. I exceeded the goal because “why not?” If I drench my clothes, I might as well make it worthwhile.The scale uptick is no doubt the quality of the food more so than the quantity.

I've just been bouncing around 143-146ish without making any real progress for far too long and I'm getting frustrated with myself. It is time to get serious and lose a few pounds for good.

7/21: 144.2. A short walk, no run, but food was within goal. Overall, a pretty lazy Sunday.

7/23: 144.7. I'm having such a hard time breaking through this plateau! Long walk, 5 mile treadmill run, and food was good.
7/24: 143.6. My boys had physical/speech therapy first thing in the morning so we didn't have a chance to go for a walk before it got too hot. I also skipped out on the gym. So I ended the day with very little movement. But food was good and within goals.
7/25: 142.1. Happy of this low, but very suspicious of it. I'm fully experienced to be back up tomorrow. Food was good, went on a walk, but skipped the gym again.
7/26: 142.3. Yesterday was another lazy day. My stomach didn't feel good so I didn't eat much. No walk or run.
7/27: 144.8. I did a 10 mile run, which made me eat a bit extra throughout the day. I also finished the night with a few beers with friends.
7/28: 145.2. I didn't it bad yesterday, but just too much. I didn't track but I have no doubt it was way over. Ran 4 miles but no walks. Back to tracking today.

I don’t think I’ve said anything, but in January, my retina specialist referred me to an eyelid specialist because she said there was a suspicious divot in my lower right eyelid and she wanted him to do a biopsy. I couldn’t get an appointment until April! He didn’t think it looked cancerous, gave me some drops yada yada used those went back in two weeks. He said it looked good. Come back in three months. Three months was yesterday and he said he can’t tell there was ever anything there. No biopsy, he believes it was a blocked tear duct and I’m good to go. I’ve been worrying about it ever since the retina specialist said do a biopsy. Maybe now I can get my act together. Eating was within reason. Had about 6 oz of 1800 Light Margarita after we got home.

Restarting, after a long absence... I've found success on MFP and this group in the past and ready to do it again. I was slender and fit my entire life until menopause hit in my early 40s and have been struggling with my weight ever since. I will be doing well with my fitness and lifestyle choices and then either life stresses or recently injuries cause a set back and I gain 20 lbs. (or more) super quick. This will be my 4th time in 8 years to lose this weight. Determined to make it the last time I have to do this!
2018 SW = 172.0 lbs. End Weight = 141.5 lbs.
2022 SW = 193.9 lbs. End Weight = 143.6 lbs.
2024 SW = 165.8 lbs. End Weight = 144.6 lbs.

My brain was not ready to go back to "dieting" after vacation mode, so I took 3 days off from weighing & tracking and instead practiced intuitive eating…dropped 2 of the vacation pounds - so that's a start! Back to plan today with tracking and eating to my goal. I thinking easing back in, was the right choice, as I feel really strong today in my confidence to reach my goals. Hope to be back at my Round 301 starting weight by the end of this round.
7/27: 167.0 lbs. Slept in this morning, so my weigh-in was later than normal, so can possibly expect tomorrow's number to naturally fluctuate a little higher than this. Yesterday was good for tracking and food choices + back on limiting alcohol and plan to keep that going until a social event on the 5th but will adjust if something comes up before that. Little movement yesterday other than mini golf with the family and grocery shopping, so need some intentional movement today.
7/28: 166.5 lbs. Very good & productive day yesterday…ate to plan, got in a 40-minute non-weight bearing workout and did some housework organization that needed to be done. Still a little over a pound to lose to get back to pre-vacation weight….

I was well over on Saturday, unfortunately. Last weekend with LittleBro/Stepson before he heads back with BF on Saturday to meet up with Biomom for the school year. If BF isn't on call around Christmas, we should get him for a week then and we'll get him for spring break.I ended signing up with Coach again for 5 week. There's the annual Summer Shreds that starts on the 4th and Coach offered a free week starting today if I signed this weekend. These 4 weeks include nutrition, workouts, and mindset which is incredible. Nutrition only coaching for a month cost me more than this program does so it's most certainly worth it for me. I'm back up to maintenance/slight bulking macros starting today so I expect some upticks in the coming days/weeks. My workouts are a combination of calisthenics/mobility and strength per my intake form. Today kicked my butt!

However, I didn’t drink the 8 oz glass of 2% milk I’d added on in order to increase the calories a bit more (while adding a bit of protein). It was just too hot and I was satisfied without it. So calories were still a tad lower than goal but more than in the past few days. My handyman never showed up yesterday and no word from him today. No cancellation text or call either because if he doesn’t show up it means he’s not coming, right? What does it take to get anyone to work in this one-horse town? It’s hot and we are surrounded by lakes and a river. I bet I know where he is today! Just so you get a little idea about my town. We have one small building inspection building with one inspector employed. I called up once (on a beautiful summer day) to set up an appointment and got the answering machine. It said he was “fishin” today and to try again tomorrow. That’s just how things work around here. I’m originally from a large suburban area outside of Detroit so I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it!

7/21 232 ~ Yesterday was such an example of portion control issues. I didn't make it to the grocery store, but still made a somewhat healthy meal. Lunch, had one slice (small) of leftover pizza (crustless but high sodium) and then cooked bone-in chicken thighs with fat-free cream of mushroom soup, brown rice, and green beans. So good, I had 2 thighs. Total calories 1757. Must be better today!!! Two days down, 8 more go to!! Focus!!

@musicsax ~ yikes, do you think it was a mosquito bite, or something else? The mosquitos are pretty pesky here but we HAVE been getting a lot of rain. And me and my patio time, I try to put bug repellent on when I’m out….especially in the evenings…then that means I have to shower before bed!!! Hope it can be removed quickly and easily and without pain!

Every year there is a convention, and this year it’s in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are driving, so while planning, I noticed that Memphis is just 2 hours away. We will spend some playtime there and then drive to St. Louis, which is my husband's hometown.

7/20 We celebrated my son's birthday with his high school friends and I had to get everything ready. We had fun but did have a bite of bday cookie. I had a good dinner but ate fries.
7/21 Today was I was feeling a little down. Coming off vacation and party planning I needed a day of nothing. I have some health issues and some tests are coming up so I took the time for scheduling of that and relaxing. I had bible study tonight. I did not exercise today. I have an early morning tomorrow for a health test and a dr appt. After that hope to get in gym time.

7/22 I think I need to weigh myself in the morning not right after a rice meal. 😒 Today I had some dr appt. Everything showed up good. Thankful!. Then I came home and took a nap because I got up early and didn't sleep well. Then I took my dog with me to smoothie king and we did a little shopping. Came home to hubby having dinner. He is a keeper and then we took a long, sweaty humid walk. I came back and did some strength training.

7/26 Did not get to exercise today. It was so hot. We had a birthday dinner in Charlotte tonight so that took up my night. It was fun but very long. I got home late and had to shower and now finally in bed. My son comes home tomorrow. I miss him. ❤️
7/27 My son got home super happy. He had fun! We are going to see fantastic 4 tonight. So I will take on more calories than needed because movie popcorn is my weakness. It will be my guilty cheat for the weekend for sure. It's so hot walking is tough. Doing a video inside today
7/28 I was scared to step on the scale today with going over yesterday and eating movie popcorn. The plus in this is I am paying attention. Before I think I thought the calories were free.

The median is 86.15 kg, which is a loss of 200 grams from the previous round. I didn’t really diet on this round, I just stopped eating salty food. So I think my easy weight loss is over. I need to start tracking from tomorrow onwards.

7/20 - DNW
7/21 - 299.1 resumed food tracking today - I have never seen a 3 to start my weight and I don't ever want to
7/22 - 297.1 tracked everything
7/23 - 295.6 got my three day streak for tracking, first time in years..
7/24 - 295.1 shedding water and vacation week from the week prior, having said that if I hadn't resumed tracking I'm confident I'd still be gaining
7/25 - 296.2 tracked everything but having a knee issue that is impacting my movement.. The scale can't drop every day anyway!
7/26 - 297 no differences again yesterday, everything tracked, just riding the wave. Wondering if my leg pain is actually due to sciatica.
7/27 - 297.2 definitely exceeded my calorie goal yesterday but I did say no to wine with dinner which would have made it worse. I also tracked everything rather than throwing in the towel. Focusing on being in range today. We are on our boat for the day.
7/28 - 298.3 I continue to track so I just need to trust the process. Too early to need any adjustments yet. Need more data. We had an awesome day on the boat yesterday and I slept awesome so my week has started off well.
