Getting Serious About Health and Consistency

Hey everyone, I’m Brian. I’m using MyFitnessPal, Garmin, Strava, and Renpho together to track my health, food, workouts, and progress. My main device is a Garmin watch.

My main goals are to lose weight, get lean and strong, and build endurance. I’m coming back from a shoulder injury, so I’m easing in and focusing on building consistency. I’m aiming to start doing more rowing, spin bike sessions, running, jump rope, walking, and dumbbell workouts. Trying to find a new routine I can stick with for the long run.

Outside of fitness, I’m into music, science, tech, and philosophy. I’m also looking for accountability; people who are tracking seriously, building better habits, and want to check in or encourage each other along the way.

If that’s you, feel free to add me or say hey.

    Hi, Brian, and welcome!

I'm also a Garmin user, a rower (on-water when I can, machine when I must), and occasional cyclist (more indoors than out this years as recovering from a (!) skull fracture that has me a little conservative about trail biking - even with a helmet - until the bones are fully healed. I agree with you, finding a routine that's enjoyable and productive is where the magic is.

I'm a long-time MFP-er, lost weight nearly 10 years ago (class 1 obese to healthy weight), now hanging around to maintain a good weight and keep my head in the game.

I'm not great on the MFP friend side of things, more of a Community gal, but thought I'd post to say hello and wish you success with your goals. I've found the Community helpful in many ways along the path.

    Best wishes!
