    10/18-137-Baked a chicken and I ate all I wanted along with some chard. Today is. Church meeting then pot luck an I’m bringing these little sandwiches made out of crescent rolls and broccoli salad. Playing pickle ball first and bringing my protein drink so I don’t show up to the meeting/potluck famished.
    10/20-DNW-Sort of ate whatever I wanted to this weekend and it’s going to take me a couple of days to get back to where I was.

    3. Drink my water every day.
    4. Get my step count to 10k daily

    10/18 – 196.6 glad to see 196 again. Had a non scale victory today. I am wearing a pair of pants that I haven’t been able to wear in almost a year, and they are comfortable!!!

    10/19 – 195.8 – wow, didn’t see this coming. Yesterday was a good day. Ended up chatting with an old co-worker, we agreed to keep in better contact. I am so happy with myself. I didn’t have any junk food yesterday.

    10/20 – 194.8 – wow again not sure that I believe that this is real. Last night I worked the Halloween Spooktacular. Had a good time watching the young kids run and laugh at all the displays. I will be working it again on Friday night.

    10/21 – 195.4 – up today but still down for the week. I worked the municipal election last night as a counter. We were done by midnight. I didn’t sleep that well after getting home so today is going to be a very chill day.

    10/22 – 196.0 – up again but still down for the round. Yesterday was almost a complete waste. I felt hung over all day. Being up and out until after midnight is killer now. Of course, yesterday all I did was nibble on things that I shouldn’t nibble on. I really don’t want to step on the scales tomorrow….

    10/23 – 195.8 – finally some movement down. Was expecting another gain. Very happy to see I was wrong. Spent the day going through my office. Today is going to be a cleaning day.

    10/23 - 168.5 - Bodies are weird. I'm glad it dropped back down without issue this morning. I had a wake-up call yesterday when I took the time to measure my hips to see if some riding pants (motorcycle) would fit. I've gained 2 inches on my bum/hips! I know it can't be muscle because I haven't been working out much these last 2 months due to my shoulder injury and travel. I need to kick it into high gear. I had an argument with myself in bed after my alarm went off this morning which resulted in me visualizing my workout. My argument was that I was up later than usual (20 minutes), I didn't have a workout planned (I had a framework, hence the visualization), and I was going to be out of the gym next week (Wednesday-Friday and then the following Monday-Tuesday) so why stay consistent this week (this is exactly why I need to be consistent this week). I won (yippee) and ended up at the gym. I'm not sure what my plan is for lunch today other than I have a spinach salad to use up the last of the spinach in the fridge (going bad quickly). Dinner is logged and I have plenty of room to figure out the rest of lunch plus snacks today. I was 2oz shy of my water goal yesterday but that was with me chugging 16oz (2 cups) before bed! I need to hit 50oz by lunch I think. I'm about 12oz shy of it every day and leads me to drinking 8-16oz just before bed so I think drinking this by late morning will help offset the last minute intake which leads to 1-2 wakeups in the night.

    Wow—I forgot to log in the past two days, but here I am. 😊 This afternoon I’m planting bulbs for a friend who has recently moved to an assisted living cottage. I’m afraid she has probably ordered a lot of bulbs—I can almost feel my sore muscle already! I really hurt after planting my own last week, which shows I need to move my butt—literally—more. Anyway, it’s a beautiful day, so it will be nice. I thought I’d share this cute little girl beanie I knit to donate to our holiday fair fundraiser. I may have to do another—quick and easy and so cute! Have a lovely weekend, all!

    We finally are getting some rain—yay! Good day to make the soup I’ve been threatening to make for a while, but it just wasn’t soup weather. Going with veggie soup with lots of veggies and some red lentil rotini for protein. I like to freeze & bag “soup muffins” to pull out and microwave for quick, low-cal lunches. DH and I planted about 80 bulbs yesterday for our friends—wasn’t too bad with the drill bit made for that, although we were both whipped when we got home! I hope you’re all having a great weekend!

    I went off the rails a bit yesterday—it was my weekly brunch & knitting day with a friend. My breakfast out was on track—scrambled eggs and a chicken sausage—but later my friend tied me down and force fed me a sticky bun. 😂 Then DH brought home an apple pie, and dinner was more caloric than usual. Oh, well, days happen, right?

    10/20 - 167.9 Looking forward to a slower day tomorrow, hope to find some "me" time to get a workout in and plant some bulbs

    10/23 - 167.3 Weird little bounce up and then back down the past couple of days - no reason for it, just normal body fluctuations, I guess. I'm crazy busy, not enough hours in the day, and on more than one big projects, so my attention is constantly being split and will be this way for a few more weeks. I am focusing on what I can for now weight loss wise, which is eating in a deficit and getting in my steps, workouts will have to wait.

Sometimes I have to use the finger dip with salt too. It just depends on the cravings. Back in my 253 lb days I would have just simply eaten a whole tsp or TBSP strait off the spoon to fulfill my need. I have retrained myself over the years to just a wet fingertip amount. Progress….

    🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 10/23-186.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 184.2) I went out for that dinner with friend yesterday to try the new menu option(s). I am full of regret today. Weight is really up for the week and the food was not worth it. In fact, it wasn’t even that good. It also interfered with my normal exercise time so my whole day was just unproductive and did absolutely nothing to further my dreams or my goals. DD and DGS arrive today starting with the school bus at 3:30. They will be here an extra day this week and won’t be leaving until Monday night. If nothing else came out of this, I hope, at the very least, that saying “no” to all the things in DD’s totes and backpack will be easier this weekend based on how I feel in this moment.

    I'm looking for some book recommendations for the book club I joined. They would like one suggestion from each member. @UTMom81 mentioned a favorite author Fredrick Backman. Do you have a favorite? Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm not sure which books have already been read in their 10 yr history, but I'd like to have a few titles on hand to submit. Thanks for any help.

    ⚠️‼️ Long post. Please accept my apologies. I took a “serious” pill this morning.

    I decided to walk to a couple of areas I dont frequent that often. Bumped into a gal who I rarely see. I know her brother recently passed away a few weeks ago. I stopped and shared a story of him with her - something that I would normally not do as I like to keep to myself while walking… I had to convince myself for several seconds that it was the right thing to do so I did. I could tell she loved the story and I loved the memory. Next, I saw this man fishing and decided to find some shade and soak nature into my being. I turned off the inspirational music & felt the breeze in my face, smelled the honeysuckle and listened to several different happy birds singing… and soaked in all in.. So often when I walk, it’s about speed, heartbeat, calories, etc. and rarely do I marvel at His creation. I can already tell this walk is so much more than a weighted vest walk.

    I’m all about producing, producing, producing and then self-sabotage. BOING! I applied this pattern to almost every aspect of my life, especially my education, career, health journey and relationships. I’ve decided to again shed the self-sabotage and ask the Creator to walk before me, with me & behind me every step of the way. I’m not evangelizing here… Just journaling.

    Just want to encourage everyone to discover & embrace your “why” and also any “triggers” as we find ourselves in a “sabotage mode”… It’s the only way to fully attempt to master this journey 🥰

    Onwards! Three miles in… three miles back home!

Overall it was fun but I’m happy to be back in the middle of the week. I got off to a good start with grocery shopping, working out, and walking the dogs. I’ve also tracked everything from today! I’m posting way later than normal because I was typing this I got a call that my 6yo had smashed his mouth during recess. Took him for X-rays and thankfully the damage is superficial - 4 new loose baby teeth and a fat lip. Was a bit of a routine disruptor but I managed to cook dinner despite temptation to phone it in after dealing with that! Anyway, happy to be back with yall! I’m going to be consistent for the rest of this round, darn it!

    10/22 - 129.4 📝🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Wahoo, finally get to use my tracking emoji! Took the dogs for a hike this morning for my exercise. We’re past fall peak here but there were still a lot of nice glimmers of color. My main goal today is to drink enough water to get everything moving through me.

    10/23 - 128.6 📝🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 I tracked fairly well yesterday, enough for my daily badge but I’d like to do better. I got a workout in this morning but then had Indian food for lunch with a friend. It had been a long time and I’d be lying if I said I held back 😳 Going with my lightest dinner plan from the week’s menu tonight but will still end up over calories. However! I. Will. Track.
