@pezhed my heart goes out to you! Thank you for sharing.
I believe the medical industrial complex is always in the business of covering potential liability (generally speaking). There have been so many misdiagnosis’ flooding the health system. Never forget it’s their #1 priority to increase patient volume and insurance reimbursements. Please read up on “false positives” that are flooding the industry… that being said, if it was my positive, I would also be panicked. 🥰
The report you received is not to be taken lightly. Perhaps call them back and ask for a detailed explanation. And ask lots of questions pinpointing for answers. Don’t speak to the nurse - speak to the physician. The fact that they said come back in six months, to me, is simply making sure you come back in six months. ($$$). But again, investigate to clear your mind. You deserve that!

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 315
    Nov 17 - 26, 2025

64 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126

    SW: 131.2

11/17 – 130.6 The 16th and 17th were crazy busy getting our condo as well as the building (long story) in order before we leave. Heading to MIL 200 miles north today.

11/18 – DNW Tried MIL’s scale. It weighed me at zero first time I stepped on. Second time was a big gain. Might be real, might be not. But I decided I’ll just see what my own scale says tomorrow morning. Today is flight day, then Uber to DD and pick up ourcar and kitties, and head home.

11/19 – 130.8 Yesterday, MIL’s scale was definitely off. Yay! Cats certainly having mixed emotions about our return (they stayed with our daughter for two weeks). I got less than 5 hours sleep last night with Han on top of me, and howling Harry living up to his nickname. I hope tonight is better.

11/20 – DNW skipped the scale. To be honest, the bathroom temp was just too cold to take any clothing off. Had coffee before it was warmer.

    11/21 -
    11/22 -
    11/23 -

11/17 134.0🤸🏼🎾👣⏱️📖 ✅ I’ve not been able to kick the habit of over-eating after 5 tennis matches in 3 days.  Pushing my physical limits, unfortunately limits my mental capacity to adhere to portion control. Note to self: Overly hungry combined with mental and physical exhaustion simply don’t mix well for this gal. Thankful to identity this pattern. Ready to start fresh again! #MindBodySoul #HSF

    11/18 134.0 Looking forward to a good day. 🏆🏋️‍♀️ #MindBodySoul #HSF

11/19 133.4 🚫🏋️‍♀️I became distracted - did not prioritize … I had to run to the paint store since we finally found a painter and he starts today… Will be a crazy week preparing our Thanksgiving (we celebrate every year the Friday after Thanksgiving because DH family comes Fri vs Thurs since they all visit from out of town). They celebrate with their mother‘s side of the family on Thursday and then DH’s side of the family on Friday. We’ve done it for 20 years and it works well!

I did a lot of reading late yesterday. RE: health and habits… Still straddling “commitment” mode and slowly getting there. Apparently, my “decision” isn’t sticking.  Weightlifting and structured walk has drifted and so my steps are WAY down over the last two+ weeks since returning from our hiking vacay. It’s not “food noise“ per se as I’m eating well - it’s simply energy / focus… and a commitment to all the additional movement my body needs. I’ll get there. it’s easy to slip into my previous life of not walking and lifting. 🚶‍♀️👣🏋️‍♀️are even more vital to my well-being than a perfect meal plan.

NSV: I’ve identified unimportant detrimental distractions. I will refocus today.

Sidebar: My friend that passed away from ALS… She planned her services well. She opted to be cremated & is home now… A small, intimate “Celebration of Life” will be in early January. She and her husband have a combined family of eight children & 20+ grandchildren… They live all over the country. She didn’t want to disrupt their holiday plans. This way, they can plan ahead. ❤️ I love how she planned this out…

11/20 133.4 No 🏆 yesterday- over on carbs with two dates.

You see, earlier in the morning I decided to have a zero carb day… All went well until after dinner and decided to eat the two dates. I don’t know why. I usually stick to my decision! Can’t figure it out just yet — but I’m going thru some type of transition with a few relationships… Which also means a transition for me? Letting go of the old and in with the new? Sort of numb / neutral. It’s not a bad thing. I’m ruminating a little, cant identify what it is exactly. Lost energy /desire. Sort of huh. 🤔 not being negative - I’m just in a place that’s unusual for me… committed to staying on plan, but noticing an underlying block. continual reinforcement of #MindBodySoul. Everything is interconnected. I have a singles tennis 🎾 match this morning, helping with DGD Eleanor, picking up DGS Tucker, then headed to Frisbee Golf. Steak for dinner. A full day…. Jesus will take the wheel! #gratitude #blessed

11/17: 171.7 📉I’m loving how this round ends the day before Thanksgiving. 🤣That could either be a good or a bad thing. 🤷‍♀️Got exercise in yesterday. I also made another new recipe—Salmon Cakes. I decided we need more Omega-3. In addition, we have lots of leftovers since I realized I misread the recipe and doubled it in the end. 😂

11/18: 172.1 📈No surprise. I had to get up extra early today. Such a busy day. Morning meeting, tap class in the afternoon, dinner out and theater tonight. Whew!

11/19: 171.3 📉Big surprise! I had a lot of calories left over when we went to dinner and out to the theater. My husband and I split the Creme Brulee. OMG! I was in heaven. I went to tap class in the afternoon. I am assuming that tap dancing is what is making this possible??? The calories burned is huge! 😳 I questioned that when I started, but I am usually very sweaty afterwards. Plus, it doesn’t feel like it. I’m having so much fun and want to keep going.

11/20: 172.2 📈😂🤷‍♀️I know I did not get any exercise in at all yesterday…even though it felt like I was running non-stop. I’ll have tap class today with no eating out, so we’ll see what happens tomorrow morning.

@jrago47 Congratulations on breaking your plateau!!! I think we all can relate to that joy your feel when your hard efforts start to pay off. 🎉

@SheilaBoneham Let’s see some pics of your Tempo meals! 📸 Sounds promising

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 315 (my 245th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
    • Would like to lose a pound round.

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    image-d69ab7d7b335a-a2b7.png

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

11/16 139.2 (trend 139.9) Very happy with myself this round, moved back into the 139’s (trend is there too today!), recognising that this 1.6 pound loss is due to consistency & no binge. Let’s see if I can lose another pound next round.

    EW Rnd 314 139.2

    SW Rnd 315 139.2

11/17 139.2 (trend 139.8) – invited by DD & family for Sunday lunch & day with them. Managed to get out early for a brisk 4 mile walk before we left for the hour and a half journey.

    11/18 139.6 (trend 139.8) – 8.5 miles walked.

    11/19 139.6 (trend 138.7) 7.41 miles walked.

    Day/Weight/Comment

    ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND: 180.2

    11/17-178.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 182.1)

    11/18- 179.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 181.8)

11/19- 178.4 ✅ (Trend Weight: 181.5) I have never been so happy to be “overweight” ! According to the BMI charts I am out of the “obese” category and into the “overweight” category now. This is a big step for me as it’s all about health. This diabetic/thyroid belly is starting to deflate a bit and I envision my fatty liver getting better and my visceral fat shrinking with less strangulation on my organs. THIS is what I’ve been aiming for! I added a little something to my exercise yesterday and I finally drank more water. Both helped. My sleep has been pretty good the past couple of days too. I did go for much lower calories yesterday after the pizzeria outing the day before tilted the scale back up a bit in order to make up for it. I treated it like a bill that needed paying. I’m out of debt on that and back to my normal macros today. It really helped that I did not have any out-of-town appointments or excursions this past week. That won’t be the case leading into Thanksgiving.

🦃🦃🦃🦃 11/20- 179.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 181.5) I had a glucose drop last night and probably ate too many smarties to bring it back up. Otherwise my day and exercise were good. It seems like a lot of gain just for packs of smarties, but then again there is the technical thing that goes on with the glucose too. Today will be another good day. I’m not giving up my 170’s, not by a long shot! I will increase my carbs slightly and see if that helps the glucose. A friend is coming to put a new battery in the dead pick-up truck today so I can get air in the tire. It’s been sitting too long I guess. I hardly use it. I’ve never had it fixed on the spot, just at the local garage. However, it’s dead where it sits. So hopefully the repair/replacement will be okay.

Letting go of the old and with the new ? Sort of numb / neutral. It’s not a bad thing. I’m ruminating a little, cant identify what it is exactly. Lost energy /desire. Sort of huh. 🤔 not being negative - I’m just in a place that’s unusual for me… committed to staying on plan, but noticing an underlying block. I have a singles tennis 🎾 match this morning, helping with DGD Eleanor, picking up DGS Tucker, then headed to Frisbee Golf. A full day…. Jesus will take the wheel!

11/21 132.6 Extra FUN day yesterday. 🎾 I played 2hr singles vs a 25 yr old and won!  But the win wasn’t the victory… the victory happened with my mindset/attitude. Winning didn’t matter- it was simply being courageous enough vs. a 25-year-old! Sincerely amazed at the result because I was the underdog. The match was hilarious because she kept saying “ma’am” and “yes ma’am”… “No ma’am”… I just had to giggle….. She was so polite & nice! So I had my dopamine fix for the rest of the day… It’s funny how months and months of hard work can culminate in just one morning over a “No Big Deal” tennis match… I have to keep reminding myself that it’s the day-to-day hour-to-hour decisions that honestly make the difference for years to come. Small decisions matter… Walking 5 miles, not eating that dessert, getting my protein, jumping… NUTRITION! The big HOWEVER is that did not🏋️‍♀️…. So there’s that. And, the biggest win of all was spending the afternoon with Eleanor (photos to follow) and Tucker playing Frisbee Golf. 🥩 for dinner!  Happy weekend! Let’s honor ourselves with consistent decisions & action! (Sprinkled with FUN!)
