I know the scale will be a bit all over the place this round with hormones and a couple of social days in the middle, but just because the numbers are inconsistent doesn't mean my habits have to be. Planning to stick to protein-rich diet, mostly whole food, keeping active and staying focused on my goal.

38 year old female, 5'2", Australia. Just a couple of kilos to lose then back to maintenance.

    SW - 90kg / 198.5lb - 2013

    GW - 57-59kg / 125-130lb - Reached 2018 and again in November 2024 after having 2 kids

    RSW - 62.1kg / 136.9lb

    RGW - 61.1kg / 134.7lb

    Round focus habits

    • Drink water πŸ’¦
    • No alcohol Monday-Thursday 🍺
    • Home prepped meals πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³
    • Planned snacking πŸ“ƒ

11/17 - 62.1kg / 136.9lb - Up a bit on the previous day. Hormones, pasta dinner etc. Onwards and downwards!

    11/18 -

    11/19 -

    11/20 -

11/21 - Party time - Heading to see the Pixies in concert and then seeing my best friend, cannot wait! 🀘πŸ₯‚No plan to log or weigh in.

    11/22 - Ditto the above.

11/23 - Straight back on the wagon today!

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 315 (my 245th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
    • Would like to lose a pound round.

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    image-567a9b86826c58-0cc2.png

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

11/16 139.2 (trend 139.9) Very happy with myself this round, moved back into the 139’s (trend is there too today!), recognising that this 1.6 pound loss is due to consistency & no binge. Let’s see if I can lose another pound next round.

    EW Rnd 314 139.2

    SW Rnd 315 139.2

11/17 139.2 (trend 139.8) – invited by DD & family for Sunday lunch & day with them. Managed to get out early for a brisk 4 mile walk before we left for the hour and a half journey.

11/17: 203.2 (finally saw movement on the scale! I worked hard yesterday and am excited to see my efforts rewarded. I went to a good WW workshop last night and I shared and it was super helpful. She said "it sounds like your cheque is in the mail" meaning all my efforts will be paid off eventually. I just have to stay true and keep on going. My husband goes out of town tomorrow so it will be super different around my house but I'm going to try my hardest to stick to my goals. I vow to not have fast food ONCE! I know I can do it.)

This is my 3rd round. Scale is moving very slowly but in the right direction but my determination is strong. I’m hoping to be down 3 lbs in this round🀞

11/17: 171.7 πŸ“‰I’m loving how this round ends the day before Thanksgiving. 🀣That could either be a good or a bad thing. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈHere’s wishing everyone the best!!! Got some decent exercise in yesterday. I also made another new recipeβ€”Salmon Cakes. I decided we need more Omega-3. In addition, we have lots of leftovers since I realized I misread the recipe and doubled it in the end. πŸ˜‚

11/17 - 172.1 - Not a very pretty number but this weekend didn't exactly go as I had hoped or planned, either. I was a little better with reducing alcohol consumption (even managing to forego a drink at one location without much notice or questioning which was nice). Food wasn't ideal so I did my best with the options I had. I did notice myself eating too quickly and by that time, I was already overfull. At least I caught it! Progress is still progress no matter how small. Gym this week - already went this morning. Have lunches and dinners prepped with plenty of healthy options for breakfast.

So happy for you Donna! Love the visual of dancing to and from the edge of the pool cover in It’s a Wonderful Life. Fluctuations certainly are part of this process!

Non-scale goals (tracked for prior day):

    πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Intentional movement 8/10 days

    🚫 No alcohol 5/10 days

    πŸ“ Track 5/10 days

    SW Rnd 315 - 128.8

    RGW - 127.6

11/17 - 129.0 πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Starting this round higher than the last. However this is pretty good for me after a weekend. Today was probably a wash - ate close to or slightly above maintenance including eating my exercise calories. My lunch was accidentally huge and I still had snacks. Tomorrow’s a new day!
