A good week for me but my sex drive increases. Even during my TOM my drive is more than normal but I feel gross so I don't act on it...VERY frustrating which doesn't help the moodiness aspect.

    Shower sex!
  • I cry a lot like 2 days before.

Mine comes in 2 separate stages.

I get bloating and abdominal heaviness about a day or so before ovulation (meaning, 3-5 days after the cycle ends), that lasts for a good 3 days. Then I'm good for about 5 days. Then I start getting CRAZY. Crave chocolate by the fist full, hungry like ALL the time, irritable beyond belief.

I probably have 11 good days out of my 25 day cycle.

But, I keep telling myself that it's better than being bed ridden for 2 days high on midol because of awful cramps. At least now people just think I'm a b***h instead of lazy.

Did that this past one. I live in an apartment and the water went freezing cold within like 2 mins. lol

A week right before the period and its depression. I am always so relieved when I start my period because it's like the hormones click into place and I feel good.

About 5-6 days for my wife 2-3 days before the moodiness/crankypants sets in. But, that gives me 2-3 days of planning Fishing/Camping trip, hanging out with guys, or you know....all of the sudden my dad needs help on his farm for a couple of days.

Then the day I start, I'm nauseous, ALL DAY.

Then I got back to normal.

Heck, I only have about 10 days a month that I'm not a b****. Trade you some of my caramels for a cupcake? :flowerforyou:

other than the chocolate craving (that kicks in about 1 - 2 days before TOM), I don't really suffer with PMS. Before I had my daughter (16 yrs ago!), I was pretty much PMSing for 25 out of the 28 days LOL

I always thought I didn't get PMS, but maybe I'm just not that in touch with my moods. I'm kind of chill all around though. I don't even like chocolate. Am I a wonan? lol But my symptoms can be so different every month that it's really hard to track. I do get mega bad cramps though. I've thrown up just from the pain. Lol Now I just take aleve a few days before (if I even know it's coming) and it really helps. Ovulation I usually notice though. That's my own little PMS time. And the pain! Ow!

I have PMDD, so my issues begin two weeks out :( worst.thing.ever.

    Same here!  :ohwell:

Having more than 10 days of PMS is a symptom of PMDD.

I finally figured it out about 15 years ago, when i attended my first college course (Human Sexuality). My research paper was assigned to me... PMDD. While researching this topic, i realized i was describing myself. I didn't even know their was a name for it and it gave me a great feeling of relief to know I wasn't crazy, for getting enraged and feeling like the world was ending, for the minor disruptions in my life during "that time".

The only good thing is, I get light cramping on the first day and it last about 4 days. Having 10 days of cravings or irritability or sadness or just MAD, is HELL. Looking good in my clothes is one of the BEST feelings i work hard to keep. By exercising and staying active is the only way i can satisfy those cravings, with less guilt. :embarassed: and stay in my current size. Now, i'm trying to work on my BF%, so i can look good without clothes too. :blushing:

Sorry I took over your thread, but i just wanted to share, for others ladies who are suffering. I know the exact moment i begin to PMS and as soon as TOM arrives, I feel like a Ton of bricks has been lifted. :flowerforyou:

Thank you Jezelebel for starting this thread :flowerforyou: I'm usually looked at with disbelief when I say i PMS for 10 days. So just my close friends and family know, well, Understand is a better word. Anti depressants are the only meds I've been prescribed to handle PMDD. For me, I'd rather not take medication.

Keep enjoying your Wine and Chocolate! Does it fit in your calories?

    Question: just for fun

Would you rather have 5-7 days of heavy bleeding and cramping OR 10 days of PMS and 4 days of light bleeding and barely any cramping??
  • I had a partial hysterectomy so I have no uterus but still have my ovaries. I still have everything but the cramps and actual period. It sucks because I have NO clue when it's coming. One day I'm just like hmmmmmmm something's not right, then I cry, want pizza and cheese dip and cry some more. LOL :drinker:

OMG, that!! yes, I definitely get that, and it is way worse on my right side than my left. It actually took the drs ages to work out that the pain I was getting was ovulation. I have been hospitalised more than once for suspected Appendicitis the pain was that bad. One time they though it was kidney tumours.... then some bright spark look at my previous history and worked it out. The pain is still pretty bad but at least I know it will go after 24-36 hours.
