Generally, compound lifts are my favorite, but if I had to break down my top lifts compound vs. isolation...

- Isolation movement: Lat pull down close or wide

- Compound movement: Sumo dead lift

- HITT: Biking

-Steady State Cardio: Stairs

    Deadlift.

Also, pull downs are not an isolation movement.

I would consider straight arm lat pull downs an isolation movement, whereas traditional lat pull downs are not.

    No argument on that one.

Squat bar none...I like what it does to my posterior...

Although I have recently picked up the barbell again so this could change in a month...

If DL's help my belly I might move to them or if Bench presses help keep the girls in place I might like those more...who knows but right now...

    Squats.

    Cardio nothing....
HITT haven't started doing that as of yet..but who knows...

    Isolation: none
Compound: used to be squat until I tore one of my hip flexors. So now I'd say Romain Deadlift

    Steady state - NONE

    Deadlifts and squats :)
  • I have a strong love/hate relationship with squats. I want to love them but it's sooooo hard for me to go deep. I constantly get qued on that.
And I love benching too- it's nice adding some real weight to the bar when other ladies are playing with dumbbells.

bench press (for making myself feel better after burpees kick my *kitten*)
high pulls (bc of the vanity element-- I can do a ton of weight and it looks bad-*kitten*)
lat pull downs (bc I want to be batman)

Deadlifts for legs, and seated cable row for back. Actually I love training back all together, and shoulders and arms. I hate training legs, but those are my weakest so I train 2x a week.

Does that mean by some weird logic that if I bench more than you, you become my gf?
