I don't bully anyone. I sit on their heads until they calm down and accept I'm right. Or stop breathing. Then I give them CPR and they owe me like forever.
I think OP deserves a rap.

    Got sludge in my colon,
    It's makin me wack,

These hoes on MFP diss my salt,
I'll pop a cap, get charged with assault,
So tired of these chomos who hate on my detox,
Hex these mofos and hope they get the pox,
I'm too thug for advice, dat shiz is fo chumps,
Now let me put in my enema, pump, pump pump!

Zombiefreak, if you don't want to hear honest opinions, then why did you post this topic? I personally cannot support your "fast", but I also cannot walk away without sharing my opinion that it's not a good idea.

In any event, the best of luck.

people fast all the time it's not going to kill me for a day or two, and i forgot to mention i have bad digestive problems and sometime I need a little help and i've been on RX fiber to help me go, I'm not crazy two days without food isn't bad i went four in the hospital when i had to have surgery i'm going to eat clear liquids like broths but i really need this and no salt water isn't going to hurt me just google salt water flush it's a hell of a lot safer and gentler than laxatives. It's very safe, It's like an internal bath, like an enima for your entire digestive system, if everything you say is true people shouldn't use enimas at all, things do bulid up, thank you for your concern I need to detox my system if i'm ever going to lose weight I've done it before and it kick started my diet pre-baby and after two days of fasting and detoxing i felt refreshed and my body was back on schedule and after two month dieting I was down to 140 lbs. I didn't fast the entire time just two days let me get that straight. Also if someone was taking money from me then why am i doing it for basically free with sea salt in my kitchen and water from my tap?
Eating the right foods with make you feel refreshed and more energetic too.

I have to admit though, I did do a 10 cleanse from Advocare. It was mainly drinking a fiber drink and probiotics. I swear it helped me get regular since I've been so screwy since I got pregnant (to clarify my son is 14 months old so I didn't so this WHILE pregnant) And I ate. It was limited calories just by the nature of what you eat and serving sizes but I ate fruit, veggies, lean meats, protein, almonds..gee what I should be eating anyways.

I think she should put it up her butt with no added water. Just the salt.
Sometimes I'll pour a bag up my a*s, run out into the street (clenching with all my God-given power) and find the nearest unsuspecting victim. I push them to the ground, squat down over their eyes and let it snow salty butt flakes while singing 'Starry Eyes' by Ellie Gouldng.

I'm trying to detox my body i've already lost water weight with the diet and exercise I'm on but I feel like i need to detox all the sludge in my colon so I'm starting a saltwater flush regimen and I'm starting my fast tomorrow I've slowly lowered my food intake to 1 meal a day and now I'm not eating nothing for 2-3 days to allow the saltwater flush to work it's magic my question is other than not thinking about food how can i feel full. I know sucking on peppermint and eating ice works but i'm wondering if there's any vitamins i can take to help me with the hunger pains?
    No, no, no, no.

There is no sludge in your colon!

Sounds really harsh! Just follow the MFP program for a while of tracking your food and exercise. Work on your habits/patterns of eating/sleeping/exercise for a few months and see how you progress.

I did a medically supervised 10 day detox through a major hospital in my town. The detox was this:

3 vegan protein shakes a day, 3 spaced scoops of psyillium (a fiber supplement which is the major ingredient in Metamucil) and all the steamed veggies I wanted. I also drank detox tea (you can get it at Whole Foods or most healthfood stores.)

The first 3 days were tough, but by the 5th day I started to feel incredible..I had terrific energy, I slept like a log. This was 4 months ago and that detox got me off of artifical sweetners, white flour and sugar. It also taught me to eat veggies and I eat l lb of veggies a day now..

It sounds to me as if you designed this detox yourself and you might be doing your body more harm than good.

Which hospital? Because any hospital full of medical professionals who think this is necessary is not a hospital I want to ever go to for treatment.

Seriously eat. "Detox" and "Flushing" is just a bunch of bs. Our bodies do just fine on their own to "flush the sludge." You are not accomplishing anything other than making yourself hungry. Eat and forget about the stupid flushing nonsense.

    My thoughts exactly.
"We have a 10 year old victim with a gunshot wound to the head!"
"Sorry, we've got no beds. Using them for the detoxers. Can't wake them up, they're having an incredible sleep."
"Priorities. Ol' crater head will just need to find an inferior hospital."

    Stupid.
  • Hi, new guy here! FIrst post. Yah!

Anyway, I can understand where the OP is coming from. Intermittent fasting makes one feel better, feel lighter, and feel rejuvinated. I do it once in a while, and by once in awhile, I mean about once every 4 months, or 3 times a year, and never more than two consecutive days. There's just extremely better, and more healthier ways to do it than a salt-water flush.

I do a juice detox, and I do the extremely popular, Joe's mean green reboot, but I can't do it more than 2 days. That's just me. I love food. You lose the water weight, you feel better, not always hungry (or extremely hungry), and at the end, you really do feel... well... "rebooted".

In preperation of the 2-day juice detox, I do a 5 day fiber cleanse. I eat whole foods (mostly raw or steamed veges and raw fruits). I also eat a ton of steel-cut oat homemade oatmeal or brown rice (Alton Brown has an awesome simple recipe). I limit my meat intake to 3 oz a day. Usually just a cheap 3oz cut of chuck steak for dinner, lightly seasoned with kosher pink salt and ground pepper. Meat is optional, I just love meat. Sorry vegans. If I don't have meat, than a whole hard boiled egg with a salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I try to get some proteins as I still average around 150 miles a week on a bike (commute to work).

For a snack, air-popped popcorn (no salt or butter)

I drink lots of water or green tea (I do that any way). I add chia seeds in the morning drink and a final drink before bedtime.

On the 6th day, I start the juice detox. After the 7th day, I eat regularly. I really do feel better. Maybe one day I will have the willpower to do a 3 day juice detox.

I know I may get flamed or criticised for doing a detox, but it makes me feel good, and I have no adverse effects from it. It's not like it's a lifestyle or a sustained thing I do anyways.

Just think about better options than a salt-water flush if you are determined to do a detox.

Its very safe? I think you need to do more research, I spent two minutes looking it up and found all sorts of dangers associated with the incredibly high level of salt intake the cleanse involves.

And you don't have sludge in your colon. You just don't. You don't need to cleanse it. Ask any colorectal surgeon.

no salt water isn't going to hurt me just google salt water flush it's a hell of a lot safer and gentler than laxatives.

People lost at sea, surrounded by water, die of dehydration if they aren't rescued in a very short period of time. Do you know why?

SALT WATER CAUSES DEHYDRATION!!!!! You can die from that in two days.

you dont need to detox and fast (unless for personal / religous reasons) your body / liver does its job without you interfearing... just eat a well balanced low calorie diet, drink lots of water, and get plenty of exercise. why put your body through that when you dont need to! if you feel you really want to poop out any sludge build up, eat a crap load of fruit today, i bet tomorrow will require atleast 2 courtesy flushes!

I am glad to see that 99.9999% of these posts are calling out the OP on this idea. It needs to be said and it needs to be blunt. This site does NOT support unsafe weight loss methods. The ideas presented in the OP fall under that. Period. It is not something that should be supported. We, as a community, have the responsibility to make sure other members know what to stay away from and what the health issues could be.
