Wow, we have some determined people in this group!! Welcome everyone. It's great to have you join us.
Well, I am feeling wonderful today. My weigh-in is on Thursdays but I always check in on Monday mornings expecting to be up 2 lbs over the weekend. I ate pasta on Friday and a hamburger on Saturday. But I also cleaned out the garage on Saturday and a finished on Sunday. I walked with the kids for about 30 min on Saturday too. I still didn't think I "worked out" enough though. As it turns out, the scale didn't move!! If it showed fractions of pounds, I think I would have even been down a fraction! Woo hoo!!! If TOM doesn't come, I could be down 1 or 2 by Thursday.0 -

Good job Eboni! I love when a chore turns out to be a good workout! Then you feel like you got twice as much done!
I had this terrible accident where I slipped yesterday, and a java chiller, meatball sub, and french fries accidentally fell into my mouth! I am refocusing on my goals and determination today. When I got my bodybugg 6 months ago, August 8th was my original weight loss deadline. It's all but here, and I am close, but still 8 pounds off. So I am hoping hoping hoping that I can hit my goal by the end of this month and then start maintenance. If not, it's no biggie, but I am ready to be done with the losing phase after 8 months. My eating habits will not change much, but I would like to stop measuring every ounce of everything I eat, LOL.
So I've got this green pair of pants hanging in my closet. My old faves... ones I used to wear everyday. Well, not EVERY day, but you KWIM. Anyway, I was thinking about them the last few weeks. Wondering if I'd fit back into them again eventually after having another baby and the hip spread thing. I picked them up this morning, and looked at them. They looked so SMALL to me. I thought, did I really used to wear these all of the time? I knew they wouldn't fit, but I slid them on anyway, just to see how close I am. Well, I got them on, and buttoned all the way up! They're def too tight to wear, but I am not a total sausage in them either! If I lose maybe 5 more pounds, I think I'll be into them again . Which was shocking to me! I may do a pic in them later, and then again at the end of the month and see where I am at. But I hung them out on my closet door to help me remember what my goals are this month.

My motivation/surprise is/was my old haltertop jean dress that i wore back in high school. It may sound weird, but it really is a cute dress and rather fitted. I remember wearing it and it started to get tighter and tighter. Then it got retired to the back of the closet. About a month ago I got it out and it looked and felt pretty close to how it did back then! It was a little snug, but maybe in about 5 more pounds it can come out of retirement!

I like to weigh in on Thursday or Friday and my offical weigh in is Sunday and Monday. I take the best weight from Sunday and Monday weights. Monday is usually the winner. I am glad I found this tread today because I did not want to do the challenges either but I did want to set a goal for myself. If I get close I am going to be happy.0 -

My motivation is a pair of jeans i use to love to wear when i went out to the club.... i havent fit in them in over 4yrs but im getting close now!!!! When im able to get in them again i will post a pic!!!0 -
Well, I'm off to the gym in a couple minutes. I have a motivational pair of jeans too. I used to wear them "everyday" too. Well, I have a picture of myself in them after my first baby... which was after I lost 30 lbs to be at my goal weight, 8 years ago!... anyway, they looked so cute on me with my little baby in my arms. They are in my bottom drawer and I can't wait to get back into them. 40-50 more pounds to go!! :laugh:

Not lost anything yet....its only the 3rd day in..... but i did have oreo's with ice cream last ngiht after 8!! so naughty...... it was low fat icecream and was still under cals x x0

Hi everyone Time to start fresh with a whole new month ahead of us! I haven't posted in a few days cause I was in bed with the flu. BRUTAL. Didn't work out for a whole 3 days! (but didn't eat anything either, so I hope it won't kill me ) I did make my goal for July though! And then some with the last 2 days, but I'm not counting that...

Hey Kids! It's great to be back. I was away from my computer for 4 days so I didn't get a chance to post my total loss for July. I lost 9 pounds! I did have a rocky weekend though consisting of a seafood buffet on Saturday and a pizza buffet last night. No more buffets for me for a while. This was kind of my mini-vacation for the year! I think I will shoot for a 6 pound loss this month. I look forward to reading about everyone's progress. Keep up the good work everybody!!

Welcome to all of the new faces!!
We are gonna get in those motivational clothes!!!
Last night I had what I would like to think of as a progressional setback. My refound motivation from yesterday was hiding last night as I decided to eat back all of the cals I burned at ZUMBA in ice cream and chocolate peanut butter bugles. I was still under my cals for the day, but I should have made a better choice! Oh well, day #3 of the month is going well so far! I went to the farmers market and got a bunch of lovely produce. It was so stinkin packed there, people must have backed into fatbaby in her stroller at least 1000 times. She probably has whiplash.
I am debating if I want to do class at the gym tonight, or just go and do a workout. I really want to do this kickboxing class, but I just have a feeling fatbaby is gonna pitch a fit (she hates the daycare there if her brothers and sisters are not with her) and I am going to be embarrassed when they come pull me out of class. I should be lifting anyway since I did cardio last night. Then it's only frustrating instead of embarrassing AND frustrating.0 -

So, I've been cheating by getting on the scale early and often. Monday morning I had maintained from Thursday's weigh in. Tuesday and today I am down 2 pounds so I hope it sticks... at least one of them. Anyway, after my weigh in, I'm taking the kids to the free family movie day. Fun, fun!0 -

Eboni I have been cheating also. I don't know but being in this WL group has given me the push I needed to foucus on my goals. I reached my 20 pound milestone June 5th and then I gained back over 10 of those pounds in the next 10 days or so. I had to spend all of July getting the 10+ pounds off again:sad:
Last Thursday I hit 20 pounds down a 2nd time this year! and I was hoping it would hold until Monday and it did and I had lost an extra pound to boot for 21 pounds. Now that I have learned my lesson from the last six weeks, I think I am ready to keep going and be consistent until I reach a the dreaded stall or plauteau. I am feeling good. I have the right mindset from all of my different support groups and I am ready to lose my next 100 and get under 300 pounds by March 2011.
I love MFP and it does work if you work it.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Finally after 4 months I have learned more each day about navagaiting and using the site to the fullest. So glad I found this group and I know I am going to lose my 10 and if I do more that is even better. If I do less which I doubt, I will not trip either like I did in June. I am going to lose something this month.
With this being hump day, I have worked out 3 days so far with 2 or 3 workouts left. My minimum each week is 5 days and anything extra is gravy.

Mollie, as much as that backsliding stinks, I think it teaches us a valuable lesson. I am glad you were able to take something from it and refocus!
I had a great time in Zumba last night. I really like the Wednesday night instructor versus the Monday. I am anxious for weigh in tomorrow!0
