Yay for drummers. We are very coordinated. Well, the good ones at least.

I am with a drummer. Now, there are a few positives, a lot of negatives.
Positive - I enjoy seeing my boyfriend playing.
Negative - I have no one to dance with EVER. I typically sit with the other "girlfriends" observing and waiting for it to be done.
Negative - Those said "girlfriends", well they are often "groupies"...extremely annoying. Often, they just flaunt that they are with a musician and wouldn't know the difference between if the band played well or poor. This pisses me off.
Positive - I like music, we talk about music often and like the same type of music.
Negative - My input does not matter. Ever.
Negative - It is difficult to have two musicians in the house without comparison. Unfortunately, I have pretty much dropped all of my musical interest/instrument playing due to nasty "competition".
Positive - Typically something to do friday/saturday nights...keeping in mind I just sit, watch and wait for it to be over.
Negative - Becoming the musicians "equipment hauler". Guitars would not be so bad...trying moving around a drum set to a few different shows...gets annoying very quick.

Really, I can go on forever...musicians often put music first and have "big dreams" which can attribute to the man-child mindset, Often when I am at a show, I feel very alone.

Nope! I mean, a musician is often creative, but I'd prefer a dude who had it as a hobby. My best friend is a guy and hes in a band, and it is his life. It's great that he loves it, but it's not conductive to dating.

Both my ex and current husband are musicians. An interest in music shows a creative side to a person. Poets, writers, dancers, and artists all have a pretty easy time with finding dates as well.

Mathematicians and computer coders have a harder time in the social arena, it seems.

I majored in Computer Science, minored in Math, and can shred. I think it has more to do with the perception of power and prestige than creativity. A female's affinity toward guys in groups extends also to team sports. The concept of a wingman exists for a reason.

Just look at the girls who gush over boy bands. That **** is hard wired into a girls DNA at birth, and you can thank evolution.

In fact, artists of any type are pretty darn sexy.

have been in bands (years ago) & also dated guys in bands (years ago), never for long. loose typology, bearing in mind i am talking about guys in their 20s, who were in their 20s 10+ years ago:
    - singers: insecure and/or full of themselves, usually both, always obnoxious
    - bassists: quiet, low-key, the ones i knew did not often feel compelled to contribute a whole lot to conversation
    - drummers: awesome (for casual dating). they live in/use their bodies professionally. sometimes a little crazy, good & bad in that
that's it, i don't have much to say about anyone else. i'd probably not want to seriously date a touring musician.
