I don't care if you're gay, straight, transgender, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist, Druid, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Socialist, Communist, blonde, brunette, bald, single, short, tall, fat, thin, married, divorced, widowed or separated. All I do care about is how you treat others.

    Totally this.

But I also want you to meet Jesus. :flowerforyou:
Are you threatening to kill me?

And THIS is why we keep religion and politics out of a website focused on supporting health and fitness. Enough children, let's close this post now and get back to our workouts!!!

I'm surprised you had to post this..it's impossible to MISS all the Christians because, like you, they feel a constant need to advertise and brag.

Is there not ONE SINGLE place where we can be free of people's crowing pride in their religion???

I wasn't gonna say a word until I saw this.....

There are LOTS of people that are Christians and you would never guess. You mainly wouldn't guess because they are, after all, human and fail on a daily basis in many areas.

What makes asking on a thread where other Christians are any different than asking where all the people from your state or country are?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking sides... I hate everyone equally

    Fixed this for you :flowerforyou:

Answer: Nope. It's not in human nature. We've all got something we want to air about.

So while I absolutely respect everyone's faith or lack of it, reading the Bible doesn't actually clear things up.

And you only need to look at how many branches of religions exist that are based on the Bible to know that's the truth.

What is wrong with looking for people who are like minded? I have friends from many walks of life. I look for fellow Christian when I want to share my beliefs with like minded people. I look for active hikers because I want to share my joy of hiking with like minded people. People seek people they have something in common with. I wouldn't necessarily share a hike with my friends from Bible study.

Then why come into a thread asking for fellow Christians? I don't judge people based on religion, race, sexuality, or anything else, but some of the non-Christians have been pretty jugdemental of Christians. There is no sense in it. At the core we are all human and even though we don't share the exact same beliefs we can still learn from each other.

It's amazing how much balogny on this thread would be cleared up if people would just read the Bible...

btw, Christian here -- feel free to add!

Ouch! How about... NO! A religion that tells me that my gay cousin is not normal for example and tells you what to do... I stay away from that... too narrow minded for me!

When I see those threads.. I am under the impression that Catholics/Christians have trouble mixing with others....

    Oh absolutely!! Amen! Oops...

Not necessarily. I am Christian and while it is nice to be around like minded people, I also have many non Christian friends and I value those friendships also. There are a lot of sterotypes about Christianity, there are wackadoodles in every group. We are not all bad. I don't judge people on their religious beliefs, I wish people would not judge me for mine. We can all live in this world together.

Really!? I've been told that my beliefs are wicked and I won't start thosw "wackadoodles" you speak of LOL
But what you are saying, I only saw it with christians/catholis that doesnt pratice or care about the religion they have been forced into as child. Even though I know there's those that believes in live and let live and doesnt judge other on their beliefs, life, preference and all... The religion they believe in says otherwise.

No one will make me swallow anything about that religion, yet I respect those souls that believes in it. I just hope the victims that religion made in the past and today wont be forgotten....

There are different denominations of Christianity, so generalizing is pointless. I am very devoted to my faith, but it sounds like you have only seen one side of Christianity. I am sorry that you have been judged harshly. i chose Christianity in my 20's. My family is not religious. I am trying to bring people together and show people that we can all respect each others veiws and we can work toward a better future.

I thought gluttony was a sin? Aren't you all going to hell?

Someone please delete/report this thread. MFP is for discussing diets not a deity.

Christianity has useful things to say about dieting though I suppose:

Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, “Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.”

No, wait! Don't kill yourself as your religious text suggestions. Instead, stop believing in a deity and take control of your own life.

    Amen to that, sister.

I'm happy to start spouting about invisible people in the sky and ridiculous imaginary friends if that'll help the lockdown along.
