Wow. WTG! Hope that you're doing okay.
You all are kicking butt!@sufferlandrian: We're not finished yet. Here, I rode 10K, swam 600m and rode back another 13K. My own duathlon of sorts. It helped that there was an actual triathlon race taking place on the same roads and while I was on these roads I acted like I was competing in the race Nobody noticed, somebody even offered me a bottle of water at a water stop
 That's too funny.0 -
^^^ You are so funny, Speedy. It was a great effort, gents. Now can we please have no more challenges within a challenge in November? *panting*
LOL!! Thank you, Ladies! Nice job all around everyone. I think I'm going to have a record distance month by the time we're all done....

@ Tex - Careful on the bike that it's adjusted right or it can be very hard on your knees. If you're knees are hurting the seat might be too low or it might be too close to the handlebars.
I was wondering about that issue. A cyclist once gave me the advice that my legs should be near full extension. I still have outside lateral pain after about 30 minutes during stationary riding at or near full extension.
2 ACL replacements - Left
Another cartilage and scar removal
Now problems with knee cap alignment - Patella-femoral degeneration
At least the army national guard has given me a permanent alternate fitness profile for my army physical fitness standards test.0 -

Keep up the awesome work!

Ya I know ... if I was doing more miles maybe I would :laugh:0 -

I was going out for a 9 mile run this morning, but I completely missed a turn, and ended up
running 8.1 mile :grumble: And I realized that 5 minutes after being back home. There was NO WAY
that I was leaving again to push for another mile. I can live with that.
9 miles would have also bring me to my goal... Anyway, I might go out for a short run tomorrow
morning, and after that. I'm gonna take it easy until my half on Sunday. I'll be walking and going to the gym
but won't be logging anything in here.
But don't worry, I'll stay around to cheer you up guys! :drinker:
Thank goodness that challenge is over. Now I can sit down on the couch and grab my Cinnabon.
I think we all agree... Like Janet said, a challenge within a challenge might be a little bit too much. :indifferent:
And I must say: I'm glad it's over!!! :laugh:0 -
The computer I update on won't let me log in today. So, I had to go remake my ticker.:grumble:
Was able to schedule enough time to walk to work today. Nice way to add some miles to my total on a busy day.
October 21 5.75 miles
October total 106 miles  barely missing the green again.

Im not posting miles right now, but want to say that everyone is doing an AMAZING job. I am so glad that I found the MFP website. In just under the 2 months that I have been on here I have pushed myself and found out that I am more awesome than I thought I originally was. LOL. I have accomplished a few goals and I found a new interest in riding bikes thanks to the MYA Challenge. Here in the Charleston, tri county area bike riding is a big thing. In the past few years the share the road laws have grown and bike lanes are on just about every road. I used to get annoyed with the huge mass of bikers to share the road with and now I have a new appreciation for them. I thought my 21 miles was a huge accomplishment when that is only a drop in the bucket for these people. Everyone in this MYA challenge has been a huge inspiration to me. Those who have reached their goals and have surpassed it. Those who have not and have not given up. No matter where you stand right now I am glad to be a part of this challenge with all of you.:drinker: Okay enough of that now get out there and MYA'S
