I'm so lazy...that none of those suggestions seem to stick.

so you said you're a medical student.

tell us makes you study/go to med school ? what's your motivation. why aren't you lazy with med school & studying ?

Only thing I am kind of interested that would pay a crap ton of money.
Then, don't complain about other people not helping you, when you are not motivated to help others.

OP, it's not nice to ask for support and misrepresent yourself repeatedly to others.

From one of your previous posts regarding your "medical school": "It's a second quarter, out of 9. It's a college program to get certificate and then for diploma. "

Med school is not a certificate/diploma program. Medical school is graduate education that is undertaken once you've received a bachelor's degree. I believe that what you're doing is "Medical Office Assistant" program. That's not anything close to "Med School" and you are not a "Med Student." Unless you're some type of Doogie Houser, you've not completed 4 years of college and been accepted to med school.

Shame on you for misrepresenting yourself while asking for support from others.

    Oh gosh...

I support ALL people I have in friends and when I have no comment for past weeks I DELETE them...I am saying I have no support like that, like someone see my diary and be like oh great day or oh you should cut that out from your diet.

Yes, it is. It is Medical Office Assisting. Med school is typically reserved for medical students -- students who are studying to be Medical Doctors (M.D.s).

Ok OP. You sound super young and immature.

Let me tell you what's going to happen.

You are either going to get off your keester and change your life for the better or you are going to continue to be lazy and continue to gain weight.

Complaining - projecting blame - shutting down others suggestions means you are not ready for the process.

You won't change until you are ready. Period.

Grow up a bit - get your priorities straight and try again soon.

Immaturity and letting people put you down because they think they know EVERYTHING are two different things, that's first.
Second, I am not complaining! I asked for suggestions, see the difference?

Oh for crying out loud. I thought you were a MED STUDENT - like you said you were. :grumble: A med student is a person on the path to becoming a doctor. That explains a lot....

You continue to say that no suggestions are sticking. We can't physically peel your *kitten* from a couch. You want it? Do it. You don't want it bad enough to move? Stop complaining.

Stop using 'Im lazy' as an excuse. Its not like laziness is a disease that you have no control over. Replace 'I'm Lazy' with 'I Will' and just get up and do it.

You think I want to get up at 4.30am to go to the gym? I work 50hrs a week and have a 3 year old. Believe me I don't wat to but 'I will' do it as 'I will' get the results I want. 'I will' fit training into my schedule even if it is at @rse o'clock in the morning, 'I will' make healthy food choices as 'I will' be here for my family and 'I will' live the best life I can.

Honestly no one can change your mindset, no one can do this for you. Its all about you. Your guts, determination, drive, ambition and ultimate sucess. If your 'lazy' you just don't want it bad enough.

Not meaning to be rude, this is just how it is.

OP, interesting article about difference between nurse & medical assistant..
    http://medicine-careers.blogspot.com/2012/03/difference-between-nurse-and-medical.html

"As a medical assistant, duties range from administrative work (filing medical records, keeping track of patients and helping with office duties) to clinical work, if you are a registered clinical medical assistant. Clinical medical assistants help with checking patients' vital signs and recording initial symptoms and issues patients are experiencing. Some medical assistants also help with collecting and sending lab samples in order to help with diagnosing patients."

"Medical assistants take on the clerical duties in healthcare. They are in charge of organizing documents, scheduling appointments, and making sure that patients get to where they need to be. Some medical assistants will check vital signs like a nurse would, but they mainly do the secretarial tasks in their place of work. Nurses write down the documents that medical assistants file away. That is an easy way to remember the difference between the two workers. Don't let the term "assistant" fool you. Medical assistants don't do much with regards to patient care."

"A medical assistant does not necessarily have to have an education related to the medical field. As long as he or she has a business administration background and some knowledge of medical terminology, he or she can get a job. Nurses have to go to school specifically for nursing. They cannot stray from a medically based education."

Still in the same boat you are - got 4 midterms in the next week that I've been studying for, work to do, significant other to look after. I just found an extra half hour to work out, so my gym shoes are on and I'm out the door. Think you can do the same today?

Laziness and excuses are what puts you in the position you're in. I don't think anything anybody says on here will help because you don't have the motivation to change yourself. I don't like waking up early and exercising but I do it anyways because I want the results.

Just get up and exercise, be active and stop complaining until after you've actually done something worthy of complaining about.

Not the same thing at all, actually.

As for your OP, maybe you're bored of the elliptical. Try new exercises - is there anything you find fun? Swimming, classes, group sports, etc?

My main exercise available to me is also an elliptical, and I have had problems with laziness.

A quick question, do you like watching TV while doing your elliptical? It's actually the only way I use my elliptical.

Do you have TLC (The Learning Channel)? Otherwise are you able to setup a laptop or tablet within view of your elliptical? If either of those cases are yes, I highly suggest you try watching Brookhaven Obesity Clinic (there are episodes on YouTube - sucky quality but still works). I discovered that I could literally not watch that show and not exercise, even if I was just walking with a low resistance on my elliptical. Maybe you can find something that does the same for you if that particular series doesn't motivate you?

Once I started moving it was much easier to keep going. Now I start an episode of whatever I enjoy watching at the moment (Bones, Heroes, etc.) on Netflix instant play. I no longer have to specifically watch Brookhaven to get me started.

    Good luck.
