Estranged husband tried to kidnap his ex in the work parking lot. Had her by the hair and was pulling her across the lot. Crowd had gathered, but he had a .44 he was waving around.

I charged him. He had plenty of time to pull the trigger. Don't know why he didn't. I took him down, pulled the gun away and, when security arrived to hold him, I turned the gun over to the security guard and took the girl to the Police Station.

Here's the f**cked up part. Police said they couldn't do anything. It was a domestiic and they were only seperated. The Security Guard gave the guy back his gun back and let him go. The ex-husband claimed I assualted him.

She got a restraining order. It was quitting time and there were about 100 witnesses, so I was not charged. The ex-husband eventually went away. I became friends with the gal and eventually dated her for about a year.

Skydive and punching a girl in the face who was bullying me

I'd be impressed if this was done at the same time!

Physically? Climbing to the top of the wreckage of my tornado-destroyed house to retrieve some of my favorite headbands I saw on top of the pile.

Otherwise, it would be quitting several HORRIBLE jobs that I held for a short period of time and flat out explaining (via letter or face to face) why I wouldn't tolerate the ridiculousness of the supervisor and/or requirements.

I was a paratrooper. I jumped out of airplanes in the dead of night with a rifle strapped to my leg.

    Thank you!

A year and a half ago whilst sparring at my Kickboxing class, the instructor announced that we were going to spar against multiple attackers (3 on 1). Up until this point I would have said my sparring skills were nothing to write home about, I wouldn't win many but I didn't get punched in the face much either (boxing gloves are worn btw).

During this sparring session none of my attackers laid a finger on me and I won the bout quite comfortably. My bas a** moment came though when, during the bout, I was fighting off two attackers from the front when the third had cycled around behind me. As he attacked I span out of the way and watched as all three accidentally took each other to the ground whilst I was left standing.

Proudest and funniest moment of my life to date.

That's kind of awesome. When I was about 20, my friend and I were in the restroom at a movie theater and my friend's purse was on the floor near the edge of the stalls. Some lady reached down and grabbed it and I took hold of her wrist and clawed her and made her run away dropping the purse. I did all of this pants down and mid-pee. lol

After breaking my leg in three places & dislocating my ankle, I set the leg myself so I could move without doing further damage, then hopped on the undamaged leg for close to half a mile to get help.

The wife of a friend called to say he was suicidal in his garage/shop with a gun. She called the police. The police let me go in and talk him down. He didn't have the gun out but I didn't know that going in. Once he was calmed down, I walked him out to the police and they took him for mental health assessment.

Most difficult one of all... divorcing from a dysfunctional marriage after years of emotional abuse and manipulation. Both of the kids are in college and both chose to stay at my place full-time.

    Best thread ever.

Sorry for the giant pictures :blushing:

The most bad*** thing my daughter and I have done (sorry men)... Did not cry during labor, and delivering at only 37 weeks (Im only a 5'4" body mind you) my 9lb 1oz 20.5 inches long daughter who got stuck, yelled at my doctor to use the vacuum, she came out not breathing, they got her recovered. Turns out the colleague doctor who delivered should have known better and given me a c-section. Got an episiotamy and still ripped after the fact, and got all my stitches after the epidural wore off. After shoulder dystocia, my daughter ended up with brachial plexus damage, her right arm could not function and we were told that is was a 'common injury' for bigger babies and there was a possibility it may never be usable. Without the copious physical therapist and occupational therapist visits they wanted to us to attend (we went to a total of 4 'maybe') in which all they really did was make stupid duck noises at her and lay her on her stomach and check off the other things she should be able to do for her age. Here's the Bad A** part! I helped her recover full use of her arm within 4 months. The final therapist visit we went to, the doctor was in amazement because normally it takes a minimum of 6 months for recovery to occur if at all.

    No right arm function

After a couple years of dealing with the neighbors dog that they stuck outside to bark its head off for hours on end since they didn't want to deal with it and only giving them and the dog the stink eye when they FINALLY let him in (since we were the new neighbors I didn't want to tell them to get their damn dog under control and create neighbor animosity) all while sleeping in the evening from working third shift...I had it one day and I got out of bed since I couldn't sleep even with earplugs in because of their dog and I went over to their front door, braless, crazy-haired and barefoot in the snow telling them to shut the f@#!king dog up! They moved out three weeks later.

Was woke up at 2 am in the morning by my cousins crying girlfriend. She claimed the cab driver that brought her to our house was trying to rape her. (Cousin wasn't there) I sprang from bed in nothing but my underwear and pulled a shotgun on the guy. I escorted him out that way. Come to find out later, she was a bit crazy and we think she made the whole thing up.

So in all likelihood the cab driver was trying to collect his cab fare from your cousins "unstable" girlfriend, and you pulled a shotgun on him.

    Armed robbery, how bad *kitten*.

Long story short.......Cousin had been picked up for drinking and driving. (1 beer but under 21) Girlfriend was 21 but to drunk to drive. Cops called cab and had cab take her to my cousin and I's house. So.....cab driver claimed he was trying to help cousins girl find out what police station cousin was at. I call bullcrap though. I think they were about to get it on and she forgot I was there. Made up the rape story to cover why the guy was in the house. Like I said, she was crazy! That is the short version of the story.

Sounds odd that she was crying before you woke up if they were planning on getting it on, and he wasn't trying anything.
You never found out what happened?
Hopefully the guy didn't go on to rape anyone, if she was actually telling the truth.

Didn't realize from your first post he was in your house, sounds like you did the right thing.
Depending on the laws in your state you probably could have even detained him if you thought she was telling the truth.

There is a little more to the story. After he was gone and I was finally fully awake, I remembered hearing the bedroom door open and seeing him and her walking in. I said something, thinking it was someone I knew, they went back out and closed door. I went back to sleep. I don't know how much later it was that she came into the bedroom and woke me up making the claim. I am a heavy sleeper and when I got woke up, not knowing what was going on, I grabbed gun and made sure everything was safe.

Based on her story that night and what she said the next day, I am 99% sure she invited him in. She was drunk and forgot I was there and had to cover herself. This gal was psycho crazy.

I have experienced a few moments which i still have flashbacks from now and again. All have occurred in rural far north qld in australia.

    1) Comforting friends and family at the scene of their accidents / injures until ambulances arrive.

    2) Swimming down about 5-6 metres in the sea to unhook the boat anchor in shark waters during extremely rough conditions, heavy storm. Had to resurface a few times for air and noticed 2-3 curious sharks swimming about.

    3) Face to face with the wildlife. Hunting wild pigs on foot with friends, removing random brown snakes from my house, being followed home by packs of wild dogs after school and not to mention the occasional encounter with poisionous insects Gah!! glad i dont live in rural far north qld anymore. I live in the city now which is 100% safe or so i think :|.
