Bodybuilding leads to unhealthy obsession. It is nonfunctional and if taken to the extreme can ruin health.Powerlifting is more akin to real strength and is more functional.

Broad, ignorant, nonsense is broad ignorant nonsense. But what do you expect from poor attempts at trolling?

Absolutely anything can become an obsession or unhealthy habit. Hell I have a side job at vitamin shoppe and had a guy come in 6 days in a row with newest info on the latest test booster. Bought one a day lol. Another guy was obsessed with free radical damage and bought no joke 10 diff kinds of herbal antioxidants.. The mind can turn anything into an unhealthy habit.

It's functional. It helps the guy get the girl, and usually it works.

    I'm sorry, this wins. :drinker:

As a side note, I currently have a pretty unhealthy obsession with fermented foods...it's a new hobby and right now I'm all in at the expense of a lot of other **** that I should be doing....but I'll get around to that stuff later.

Awww I dont know because I have never even looked at a weight, even from behind a screen, because everyone knows girls will just bulk straight up and look like the hulk. Also I dont eat more than 1200 cals a day cos thats the quickest way to lose weight, that and the special herbal tea I bought off the internet from Uganda with special fat burning ingredients.

6 packs are unnatural.Bodybuilding is not about health or strength .It is about asthetics, getting down to incrediblelow levels of body fat & using dieuretics.

    Don't care. I'm getting a six pack.

I lift heavy to build my body and increase my strength. And to lift my a**. Now, I LOVE my *kitten*. Sure, it can be about vanity. I'll admit that.

Yep. For some people. Just like everything, some people will take it too far. That doesn't mean all people who drink alcohol are alcoholics. And not all people who engage in bodybuilding are dangerously obsessive about it.

I watched my 50 year old bodybuilding father who won the AAU/Natural Mr. America contest pick up the engine end of a volkswagen bug - tires off the ground and all. I don't think he was very strong, do you??

They're not really. Having a strong core and low body fat is usually a by product of pursuing a sport to a high degree.

I do think destroying your lower back by doing a million crunches whilst simultaneously ignoring the rest of your core for the pursuit of purely having a six pack a bit odd but then, life would be boring if we were all the same...

  • Agreed we should just all sit on our *kitten* watching tv or playing xbox, a much healthier way to live. Is this thread serious?

Uh just powerlifting is based on strength, pretty much trying to lift 3x+ your bodyweight. Bodybuilding is sculpting a physique. Something like that anyway lol.
