  • DON'T DO IT. Whether anyone thinks it's cheating or not is beside the point. What will ALWAYS happen is it will reach a point where someone will get hurt.
    link to studies supporting this?

Your thoughts on sexting and people who are in a relationship that sext someone besides the person they are in a relationship with.

I really could not care less.

I also don't care if she dreams about being with someone else. Or fantasizes about someone else while we are ... erm ... being intimate.

Maybe I've been married too long, but as long as she is not actively plotting my murder (or a surprise party) - I'm pretty happy. :)
  • Lol haven't sexted in awhile. It's fun though with the right person.

    We're gonna need details...

I sent my husband some dirty texts with a picture to go along (which I never do!) and it just happened to be the day his company was switching from blackberries to iphones. So, my husband didn't get the texts, the IT department did. I still have yet to go visit him at work. :ohwell:

in addition, any time you send someone a pic of you, they have it. And they can pretty much do what they want with it. If you don't want that pic up on the internet with your name and address and place of employment, don't go sending it to people.

Call me cray cray, but I'm a safety gal.

Oh yeah. And also, sometimes people have their phones set up so the pic shows on the lock screen with the text. Unsolicited sexts are no bueno- especially when the kids are like "mama, what the heck is that pic on your phone????"
  • "Sexting" sounds stupid and people doing this should better get a life and a therapist...

We had no kids at the time thankfully. And I am SURE they saw it. Usually he doesn't mind the unsolicited texts but it just happened to be the day that the IT department had his phone! Needless to say I learned my lesson. AT least is was a good picture :P

I agree with most of the people on here. IF your SO would be upset to find out then you shouldn't do it. But this extends to all things. ( even the kit kat picture. lol ) In a relationship you shouldn't have to hide anything. Lying isn't worth it.

It's quite simple, if you are doing an act that you wouldn't want your significant other engaging in with someone else, it's probably wrong...and it's cheating.
    This.

Sexting should only be done with your partner.

Agree. Sexting is fine but IMO, only with your partner, otherwise it is cheating and only going to lead down a very messy path.
