I'm a fan of BBC. I'm in a group on another site.

Wait, this is the right thread, right?

Lost another one to the corporation. :explode:

    What's road tax? :P

Something that hasn't applied in the UK for a very long time :)

Road Tax is the name that people in the UK incorrectly give when referring to the Road Fund Licence. It is, however, semantics. It is a road tax, for cars, whatever it is called.

I've never heard of "Road Fund License" either.

It's about £220ish a year per vehicle (some classes of vehicle are less though). You need it, MOT and Insurance to be road-legal.

I've always found BBC quite intimidating, but my neighbor is a huge fan.

So many unawares, so little time

If by 'unaware' you mean 'reading at face value instead of the puerile alternate definition', then sure.

They're a corporation so they're obviously evil, and I'm pretty sure that this thread is a scam to get people to view their channel. Are you a spy?

Just wanted opinions of the BBC
    A wheir?

I own some stock in BBC, never had any of my investors complain.

    No you don't.

I find their news stories to be a little too long, sometimes dull, but always thick with humour.

...as are most of my conversations with my British colleagues.
